We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Fundraising Administrator to join our Fundraising Team. The successful candidate will have strong communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to quickly integrate into the team. This role will focus on supporting the fundraising team with administration activity, delivering high quality corporate volunteering days and helping the team to achieve our ambitious fundraising targets.

This role would suit someone eager to start a career in fundraising or expand their expertise in this area, particularly individual giving and corporate fundraising.

This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to raise awareness of the charity, building it’s profile and engaging communities in West Wales. It will involve helping to organise fundraising events, working with volunteers and encouraging community fundraising opportunities.

Main duties:

1.1 : To help raise awareness of 2wish and the work we do in West Wales
1.2 : To work alongside the support team in Wales, and to build on the reputation of 2wish
1.3 : Research, approach and engage community groups and local supporters using mechanisms for
engaging their support to develop additional sources of income
1.4 : To liaise with the public in West Wales who are fundraising for 2wish
1.5 : To support the delivery of community and corporate events, and monitor the income raised
1.6 : To attend community and networking events where necessary
1.7: To actively participate in and collaborate on financial planning for West Wales, as a business unit, during regular fundraising meetings
1.8 : To submit an annual business plan and budgets for the West Wales fundraising team
1.9: To submit monthly and annual reports to the Fundraising Manager as required and work to monthly targets

This is an exceptional opportunity for an Executive Assistant to join The Prince’s Trust supporting three members of the Executive Leadership Team – Director of Fundraising & Marketing, Director of Communications and Director of People & Learning.  

This is a busy, varied and important role working closely with the Directors to make sure their diaries support their strategic priorities. Key responsibilities include:

• complex diary management including all travel arrangements
• providing secretariat meeting support
• preparation of presentations & briefing papers ensuring Directors are well prepared

The role will be ideal for a highly organised, flexible, experienced Executive Assistant used to working on their own initiative and comfortable with multi-tasking. We have a hybrid way of working, and you will be expected to be in the office 3 days a week. The role is part of an Executive Assistant team reporting into the Head of the Chief Executive’s Office.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing administrative and other support to fundraising and communications staff.
• Leading on a small portfolio of major fundraising events and activities.

• Identifying new events, opportunities and approaches that could raise significant funds for halow.

Role Requirements:

• Demonstratable experience of working a fundraising role or comparable role.
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, trustees, donors, and funders.
• Experience of delivering projects and fundraising targets.
• Knowledge of data security whist ensuring databases are kept up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

To support the delivery of Dyscover’s Fundraising strategy by taking responsibility for Community Fundraising.

Main Areas of Work:

Funding – support and delivery of the Funding Strategy in conjunction with the Head of Fundraising and the Trustees • Understand and work within the Code of Fundraising Practice

The Role 
 

The role of Shop Manager involves actively running our new shop in Hull and implementing processes and ways of working.

• Be responsible for attracting and recruiting a team of new volunteers, ensuring they are well trained and take every effort to create a welcoming and happy environment. 

• Be responsible for ongoing volunteer training and engagement, ensuring the volunteer management system is actively kept up to date.

• Be responsible for ensuring the team are working towards achieving all key performance indicators. 

• Ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received).

About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To be ideally educated to A Level or equivalent. 

• To have experience of managing people/volunteers including recruitment and development. 

• To have previous retail experience in charity sector or commercial sector is desirable. 

• To have experience of meeting and exceeding targets within a retail environment. 

• To be highly organised with good time management skills. 

• To be able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. 

• To have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• To be able to motivate self and others. 

• To have strong planning, guiding and motivation skills to successfully achieve targeted income is desirable. 

• To have good written and numeric skills are desirable.

We are looking for a new member of our Bereavement Services team, to grow our capacity and help us reach even more people bereaved by epilepsy. Our bereavement services are provided for free, completely confidentially, to anyone who needs us. Often via telephone or email support, though we also have a thriving and complex Casework Service, helping bereaved navigate the inquest or investigation into their loved one’s death.

This new position will provide first-hand support to the existing team of 3, learning from their experiences and expertise about how we support people bereaved by epilepsy, and how this way of working influences the work we do across the charity.

You’ll be learning the ropes from day 1, getting stuck in with any tasks needed to help support the Bereavement Services team – this could range from admin tasks, answering initial enquiries from bereaved supporters (via phone or email), and will eventually lead to you taking initial calls with bereaved supporters, sharing with them the different ways the charity can support them, and helping us understand how best we can help them. There is a real potential for this role to grow and develop with the right candidate.

This is a Hybrid / Remote role. The SUDEP Action offices are based in Wantage, Oxfordshire. All staff are expected to visit the office every 6 weeks for a team meeting as a minimum.

As part of a team across the East Midlands you will manage an existing cohort of approximately 75 active volunteers providing dedicated support in their work helping their mentees secure outcomes including personal development, jobs and self-employment.

Picture yourself leading and supporting a group of volunteers. You'll use our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and your connections with fellow team members to link up with opportunities that support young people and our programmes.

We're all about keeping things in tip-top shape so can you dive into the detail and keep things running smoothly, like accurately tracking, recording, and keeping tabs on volunteer activity? And can you encourage volunteers to do their part by keeping our systems up to scratch, ensuring we're always on the ball with core vetting and training requirements?

As well as the serious stuff, we're big on showing love to our volunteers! Our volunteers are exceptional individuals driven by a deep passion to ensure the success of the young people they mentor. You'll collaborate with volunteers from various backgrounds, each bringing a rich tapestry of skills to support a young person's journey. As part of the role, you will be expected to host some memory making events around the East Midlands area in our partner offices with volunteers and our young people. You will work closely with colleagues, delivery partners, and external stakeholders to enhance volunteer opportunities and strengthen our volunteer network. Can you help us expand?
