Salary – £23,500 to £25,000 (pro rata if part time)

You do not need to be a rugby fanatic for this role, but you do need to be passionate about social mobility of the excluded. We are looking for someone with a youth work, teaching, mentoring or sports coaching background to help strengthen our team as we work towards our forward strategy.

About the Role
Following a period of exponential growth in foundations and major gifts of over five-fold in five years, we're seeking an ambitious and dynamic Philanthropy Manager - Major Gifts and Foundations to take the c£1.5m programme to twice this value in the next three years. You'll be responsible for the success of the overall major gifts and foundations strategy to engage, retain and inspire loyal supporters and partners in addition to attracting new, long-term, multi-year funders.
You will work across the organisation, including with trustees, to develop relationships and funding applications to foundations. You will build lasting relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families, and help foster a culture of philanthropy and partnerships across the organization, with the sponsorship of the Senior Management Team.
About you
Your main tasks will include growing sustainable income from grant-making trusts and major donors donating to Anti-Slavery International's work in the UK and internationally, designing and implementing robust prospect research, and managing a small personal portfolio of donors and prospects.
To be successful in this role, you will have a track record of success in six-figure+ multi-year restricted and unrestricted funding from high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and foundations. You will have a proven ability to develop, manage, and deliver against accurate budgets and forecasts, and excellent bid-writing skills that have generated considerable income from trusts and foundations and high net-worth individuals, ideally in an international organization.
You will have a positive attitude, resilience, and self-motivation driven by a passion for the cause. You will be able to think strategically, identify opportunities, make decisions and prioritise effectively and, as a manager within Anti-Slavery International, demonstrate leadership, initiative, and a strong desire to achieve agreed objectives.

We are looking for a Charity Shop Manager to cover shifts in both of the Harington Charity Shops in North London. The Charity Shop Manager (Cover) role, will be guaranteed 8.5 hours a week in our Hornsey charity shop. In addition to this there may be other variable hours over and above this, where they will be asked to provide cover when the Charity Shop Managers or Shop Assistants are on leave at either the Archway or Hornsey Charity Shops. The Role
Our Shop Managers have the freedom and independence to take ownership for their shop's performance, maximising profits, delivering the highest level of shop standards using their creative flair, and providing excellent quality service to our customers. They inspire and lead a diverse team of staff, volunteers and students with learning differences completing work experience in retail, creating a caring and supportive environment for people to flourish.
Our two London charity shops are vital in raising funds from the sale of pre-loved, donated stock to fund Harington's work to support young people with learning differences into employment and independence. But they are more than just shops, they play a vital role in local communities in Hornsey and Archway, offering a warm and welcoming place for people to shop and volunteer.

Harington is an Ofsted regulated specialist college and charity based in north London, working with young people with learning differences aged 16-25. Our students undertake individualised learning programmes that lead to vocational qualifications and other aims, including gardening, retail, English, maths, employability and independent living. We also deliver a supported internship programme.
Our charity's learning centres in Highgate and Hornsey alongside our charity's gardening business and two charity shops, provide a unique opportunity for students to practically apply their learning on work experience placements. We also work with other employers toprovide opportunities in other settings to meet the aspirations of our students.

Our client, a leading London university, is looking to recruit a full-time (35 hours per week) temporary Programme Officer to support them during this busy time. This post will be Monday-Friday, and the post will be eligible for hybrid working, normally 2 days per week onsite, although on occasion 3 days may be required for covering the enquiries desk. The Head of Legacies and In Memory will work with the Associate Director of Fundraising and Marketing to build and develop the vital legacy and in memory programme. The role will include the development of innovative and engaging marketing strategies - including recruitment and stewardship across legacies and in memory. Furthermore, you will investigate new audiences and channels to increase engagement and use your excellent budgetary management to produce detailed income forecasting.
Key elements of the role include:

- developing excellent stewardship plans for legacy enquirers, intenders and pledgers and for all in memory and tribute donors

- creating and implementing a detailed in memory and tribute fundraising plan based on analysis of donor sources, income and activity

- Meet financial targets, maintain financial records and regularly review portfolio to update forecasts and budgets and identify risks and opportunities.
