The Bone Cancer Research Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Fundraising Assistant to join our fabulous Fundraising Team and to act as a first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries.
As an integral member of the Fundraising team, the Fundraising Assistant will support the delivery of a range of successful fundraising activities across the organisation, in order to maximise income for the Bone Cancer Research Trust. From head shaves to skydives, dress-down days to marathons, you will provide excellent stewardship support and help us to develop solid and long-lasting relationships with our supporters, groups and companies based across the UK.
This exciting role is a fantastic introduction into the wonderful world of fundraising, and it will give the successful candidate the opportunity to learn about different fundraising income streams, all whilst making a huge difference to people affected by primary bone cancer.
Duties will include:
- Providing administrative and operational support across the fundraising team;
- Developing excellent and enduring relationships with current and potential supporters;
- Supporting community-based fundraising volunteers and groups;
- Assisting with the organisation of BCRT’s fundraising campaigns and events;
- Representing BCRT at events;
- Administration of Facebook fundraisers and use of our digital platforms to thank fundraisers and record supporter data;
- Inputting accurate information into our database and maintain up-to-date records to help us make informed decisions;
- Managing stock levels and orders, liaising with suppliers, processing orders, and working with the team to ensure the fulfilment of orders.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To help and support Owners profile their much loved companion pets with The Trust.
To identify individuals outside our charitable remit and refer them to other organisations that can offer assistance and always seek advice in the case of doubt.
To raise a computerised record or case to log the call.

This post will require a good overall understanding of the needs of older people and their pets.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. To listen to the needs of each Owner and accurately record information for each Owner and their pet by completion of a computerised case.
ii. To raise and administer pet profiles and add to the database in professional and efficient manner.
iii. To call and reassure supporters during the process of pet profiling.
iv. To assist with reporting on pet profiles.
v. To ensure you record all of your communications onto the database in an accurate and timely fashion by way of comments on each Owner case at the end of each conversation and appropriately refer to Management about urgent cases.
vi. To help maintain up-to-date records and mailing lists for Owners, Owners’ contacts and volunteers throughout the course of your work.
vii. To have a good working knowledge of other roles and tasks within the team and provide ad hoc support as required including inputting information.
Case types include; Dog Walking, home checks, Short term fostering, long term fostering, pet care, talks and pet profiling
v. To liaise with all other members of The Trust to help maintain a quality service.
vi. To contribute and liaise with the team by helping to update volunteer and owner cases in the course of your communications.
vii. To help maintain filing and filing systems related to your work.
viii. To liaise with all other staff of The Trust in a flexible manner.
ix. To liaise with all Owners and members of the general public in a polite and helpful way.

Loneliness is a major issue that is now widely recognised in society today, particularly amongst older people. By scheduling weekly calls from our trained volunteers, Age UK's National Telephone Friendship Service provides older people with a chance to make a new friend from the comfort of their home.
As a Friendship Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating and supporting the thousands of matches between our members and volunteers across the UK. Whether you are answering emails and calls, ensuring safeguarding measures are upheld or supporting members and volunteers through the onboarding processes, you will be helping to ensure this much needed service reaches those who need it most, in a safe and efficient manner.
Utilising your excellent customer service skills, you will be the first port of call to support our volunteers and older members - so you'll need to be comfortable spending a lot of time on the phone and communicating by email. You'll also need to be passionate about supporting older people and have a good understanding of older people's needs.
This role can either be based at our office in Blackpool, or in Ashburton Devon. We offer a hybrid model of home and office based-working, so you will need to be within a reasonable distance of either the Blackpool or Ashburton office and be willing to travel there regularly. As a guide, the team currently work from the office once or twice a week but please be aware this could increase.
You will work a 35-hour working week, 5 days out of 7 with start and end times between 8am and 6pm. It will include weekend and bank holiday shifts, which will be arranged on a rota basis.

The project:
We are in the process of expanding our service beyond our London footprint to Bedfordshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Kent, along with Thames Valley, providing one-to-one advocacy and specialist work including workshops and group activities delivered by Advance in partnership with voluntary organisations.
This role plays a critical part in coordinating the group offering for women accessing our services, as well as providing administration support across the region.
In short you will:
• Be the first point of contact for clients coming to the Women’s Centre; offering a warm welcome and trauma informed approach.
• Hold responsibility for the Minerva telephone number and email account in your region.
• Assist in researching additional resources and events for service users; both within the Centre and across the region.
• Contribute to creating and lead on updating the local Services Directory with details of local organisations, key contacts and details of services on offer, including eligibility criteria.
• Assist the Service Manager in managing the smooth running of the Women’s Centre in your region, including managing the group workshops timetable, arranging meetings and booking external venues for client groups or training events.
• Manage administration for the Kent Minerva team
• Assist the Service Manager with the quality assurance and collation of data and information as required, including for funder reports.

We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire.
We are looking for two Support Workers (Community Connectors – Engagement Team) to join our team. We have two positions available one position in Aylesbury and one position in High Wycombe. Please state on the supporting statement which position (or both) you are applying for.
Your challenge? To provide advice, support, advocacy and key work for recovery plans and undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed. Background
Bipolar UK is the only national charity dedicated to empowering individuals and families affected by bipolar. Peer support is at the core of our work. We empower approximately 1,000 people a month to stay well - and we have the ambition to reach thousands more.
Bipolar does not discriminate on the grounds of sex, gender, age, ethnicity, race or background, consequently it affects everyone, and we estimate that one million people in the UK live with the condition many of whom remain undiagnosed, that's 1 in 50. The condition also increases the risk of suicide by 20 times. Bipolar impacts on relationships, missed milestones for young people with their peers, education, economic stability and employment, and creates social and economic problems and debt for those affected through symptomatic overspending. Therefore, Bipolar UK are working hard to improve diagnosis times and support pathways to enable individuals affected by the condition to live well and fulfil their potential. At the heart of this is our peer support enabling our community to access tools and support to manage their condition.
About the role:
Bipolar UK is delighted to have this post funded through a new grant and we are seeking to recruit a Senior Peer Support Officer to work 3-days per week.
We are looking for an experienced person who is familiar with peer support and lived experience models to support and engage members of our London community who are affected by bipolar from a range of backgrounds.
Your role will include managing volunteers, increasing engagement in local existing support groups and developing new ones. Working with our self-management trainers to run psycho-education courses. The role will require you to work across London both online via Teams and Zoom and in-person.
This new post is an exciting addition to our team as we are seeking to increase awareness across racialised and minoritised communities and improve access to peer support for people affected by bipolar commencing with a new steering group.

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire.
We are looking for two Support Workers to join our team. We have two positions available one position in Aylesbury and one position in High Wycombe. Please state on the supporting statement which position (or both) you are applying for.
Your challenge? To provide advice, support, advocacy and key work for recovery plans and undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed. And, all the while, we’ll expect you to operate in a way that recognises and values diversity and understands the functional model of substance misuse, the Recovery Agenda and the problems caused by alcohol and drug misuse.
Preferably with a NVQ 2/3 in Social Care, or willing to attain this, you are used to working to policy and procedural requirements that include child protection, vulnerable adults, confidentiality and health & safety.
We’ll also be looking for good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and fulfil data requirements. A flexible approach is important too, as is a commitment to taking a client centred approach to providing services and working in a way that recognises and values diversity.
This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

What you’ll do
- Design standout print and digital content from concept to completion, delivering against a clear brief and goals
- Support the Creative team’s aim in delivering a strong visual identity, which considers the needs of people with Parkinson’s and brings our brand to life
- Manage multiple design projects to deliver concepts and layouts in a variety of formats e.g., leaflets, booklets, magazines, newsletters
- Support the creative development and expression of the brand identity through high-impact design
- Work closely with the Studio Manager to ensure all assigned projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet clear goals
What you’ll bring
- BA level design qualification or equivalent experience (c. 4 years) of delivering hands-on design across print and digital channels in line with brand guidelines
- Proven professional design experience either working inhouse or agency
- Experience of Adobe CC software packages, particularly fluent in: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, experience of Canva and After Effects is desirable
- A motivated, proactive, and engaging style and ability to juggle multiple projects at one time
- Highly organised, with the ability to produce design work to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present engagingly about your creative concepts and ideas
- Experience of using audience insight to develop effective design

About You
