About the role:

This role is based at Accrington. This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. As a MARRAC Coordinator you will:

• Work with the MARRAC Team Leader and partner agencies to contribute/support the initial assessment process
• Check internal systems to check if victims are known or open to internal services
• Provide any updates; follow up calls including immediate safety & support needs for the victims
• Attend MARRAC meetings to present the voice of the victim
• Contribute towards interventions, helping to design a multi agency safety plan to protect victims
• Complete actions & signpost to other agencies /community groups
• Contribute to review discussions on closure to MARRAC
• Maintain accurate & confidential case management records

You will need:

• experience of working with high risk victims of domestic abuse & ideally hold an IDVA accreditation
• comprehensive understanding of domestic abuse & the impact on victims
• knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
• an understand Safeguarding, & the legal responsibilities around these
• theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge of civil and criminal justice remedies
• experience of partnership working
• good organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively
• strong crisis management skills, able to deal with difficult situations
• good communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal
• IT skills, able to use Microsoft Office & Case Management systems

The MARAC Administrator will support the MARAC Coordinator in the administering the MARAC process.  The post holder will be co-located in Brent and will be required to attend MARAC meetings in various locations as required. There will also be a requirement to attend Advance’s Headoffice

The MARAC Administrator will process MARAC referrals and flag to the MARAC Coordinator any referrals that have insufficient information or may not meet the MARAC threshold.  The post holder will also compile the MARAC At Risk List for approval by the MARAC Coordinator, including case details of survivors and perpetrators who will be discussed at the MARAC. 

About You:

To be successful as the MARAC Administrator you will need the below experience and skills:

An understanding of violence against women and girls with a particular focus on the dynamics of domestic violence (physical, emotional and sexual violence, so-called ‘honour-based violence’, forced marriage, stalking and harassment) and its impact on women, children, families and communities.

Experience of office management and administration roles and experience of maintaining data systems and producing regular monitoring reports

Accurate and methodical approach to dealing with data processing, filing systems, facts and figures

Excellent literary and administrative skills including ability in information technology, data collection and in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Good interpersonal and communication skills

The ability to be flexible, working as a team or independently as required to support the service and colleagues

An ability to work in partnership with relevant statutory and voluntary groups, to demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain strong constructive working relationships

An ability to cope in stressful situations; able to multi-task and prioritise, remaining calm under pressure

We are looking for a new team member to provide full administrative and programme support to the Employment & Careers team. The role will involve supporting the team in the day to day running of the service including the preparation of contract documentation (such as registration forms, as well as specified supporting evidence: ID proofs, Proofs of Address etc.) for submission to funding partners, uploading data spreadsheets and CMS systems, and supporting the team with promotion, outreach and engagement of our services. This includes conducting follow-ups and answering queries (by phone, email and in person) from both current and prospective participants on the programmes being delivered by High Trees. They will also be responsible for the preparation of finance related performance evidence for monthly/quarterly submission.

The successful applicant will have experience of providing efficient administrative support, be very organised and able to work to deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To work within the admin team to help provide administration support and answer a busy switchboard within the department under the direction of the PA to The Chief Executive/Admin Manager. 

ABOUT THE JOB:

An experienced and capable administrator with excellent literacy, numeracy and organisational skills, you will work within the admin team to assist with data entry, incoming and outgoing mail as and when needed.  You may, on occasion, assist other teams within The Trust with their duties.

Reception tasks will include answering all incoming telephone calls promptly, meeting and greeting visitors to reception and assisting with data entry and correspondence.

A good telephone manner is essential, together with excellent literacy and IT skills, coupled with the ability to work to tight deadlines, often under pressure.

This is a sensitive role which requires an individual with the ability to handle confidential information and empathise with our clients.  In addition, a compassionate, professional public image and the ability to liaise and communicate at all levels with sincerity, warmth, efficiency and flexibility is essential.

To liaise with all other staff of the Trust in a flexible manner.

Together with such additional general duties as the Employer shall reasonably require, having regard to the needs of the Employer’s business as a Charitable Trust.

Citizens Advice Hounslow is a well-established charity operating in the London Borough of Hounslow, supporting over 10,000 clients a year. We want to expand our capacity for face to face and telephone advice; hence we are looking for an experienced generalist Adviser with the ability to provide advice in person as well as on the phone through our dedicated helplines.

In particular, the role requires you to:

• conduct a thorough holistic exploration of the problem(s) to gain an accurate picture of the client’s situation
• do a benefit calculation as standard for clients
• give full advice and support to clients to resolve their issues
• where necessary, make a referral or signpost clients
• write up case notes to Citizens Advice national standards

We are looking for a full time Peer Engagement Practitioner.

This is an innovative new service, integrating the expertise, skills and knowledge of the network in Barnet with NHS Mental Health services. The purpose of the role is to provide peer led psycho-social support to clients, working within specialist Mental Health teams and the VCS delivery partners. This role will also serve to enhance the work of the MH teams, and other practitioners within the service, to ensure it remains clients focused, recovery informed, and embedded with experience led practice.

The role will carry an active caseload, working with clients to determine their recovery needs, identifying resources available within the community, providing expert advice and support, facilitating recovery focused peer support groups, and contributing to the development of new community resources.

Exciting Internship Opportunities with the Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT)

Are you passionate about driving meaningful change in the world? Do you want to explore the intersection of faith, policy, and politics? The Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT) is recruiting to two internship positions: one focused on Communications and the other on supporting local churches to build relationships with their MPs.

You would be working as part of a small ecumenical team on a diverse range of tasks and initiatives including communications, policy, campaigning and supporter engagement, contributing to the public advocacy and political engagement work of the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches.

About JPIT

JPIT is a partnership between the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church, and the Church of Scotland is an associate partner. Its purpose is to help the Churches to work together for peace and justice through listening, learning, praying, speaking and acting on public policy issues. It is a team which brings together around ten staff from across the denominations. In recent years it has focused on issues around poverty, the economy, refugees and migration, the environment, peace and conflict, and politics.

The Internships

These internships provide opportunities to develop skills in campaigning, communications, research, and policy within a dynamic team environment. There will be opportunities for professional and personal learning and development to equip the intern for employment after their time on the internship. Whilst we are looking for some evidence of certain skills and experience, candidates will have the opportunity to develop the relevant skills during their time in the role.

The roles are based in the Methodist Connexional Team.

These are full-time, paid posts for 12 months. They are aimed at young Christians who may have recently graduated, and are starting their career in an area such as politics, campaigning, policy or church engagement.
