Skin Camouflage Practitioners
Contract: Part-time, fixed-term (one year initially, with the potential to extend).
Location: Manchester: two weekdays per month.

Main Objectives
- We continue to improve and develop the service around the country to provide the very best experience for our clients. The Skin Camouflage Practitioners will:
- Deliver skin camouflage clinic appointments to our clients.
- Keep in close contact with our skin camouflage team regarding the organisation of clinics.
- Help signpost clients to other Changing Faces services or resources they may be interested in.
- Work with the skin camouflage team to continually review, develop, and maintain the service.
- Support the skin camouflage team to develop and maintain the skills and knowledge of all practitioners by participating in and contributing to training.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for people with:
- Experience within a related industry such as nursing, or healthcare. Experience as a make-up artist would be a definite advantage for this role.
- The ability to support clients professionally and with empathy, including clients in distress or struggling with their visible difference.
- A willingness to follow Changing Faces’ skin camouflage practices and procedures.
- A strong commitment to Changing Faces values, vision and purpose.
- The ability to use or learn basic technology such as tablets, apps, Outlook and Teams.

We are working hard to raise awareness, as it is a little-unknown condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the illness.

The myasthenia’s are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia, and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

About the Service User Network (SUN)
The SUN is an open access model of community-based facilitated group peer support for people experiencing complex emotional needs associated with complex trauma and/or a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’. The SUN aims to help people develop effective ways of coping, reduce emergencies and improve access to appropriate services.
Those accessing the SUN may or may not have a formal diagnosis of personality disorder. Group members will have experienced longstanding emotional difficulties, isolation and may demonstrate patterns of behaviour that may not be helpful in the longer term.
About the Role
Fundamental to creating empowerment and engagement in the SUN Project is the therapeutic community principle, that the effectiveness of the service depends upon engaging group members in the task of running, delivery, development and evaluation of the service. The utilisation of SUN members’ own resources and expertise is integral to the SUN model of peer support.
SUN Facilitators will have their own lived experience of complex emotional needs associated with a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’ and will be able to demonstrate their recovery journey. They will work closely with mental health practitioners from ELFT to deliver regular Service User Network (SUN) groups in different community-based locations in Bedford, Central Bedfordshire or Luton. Full training in the SUN model, and weekly supervision by a Psychotherapist / Psychologist, will be provided for all team members.
Facilitators will work to develop and support the therapeutic community principle of the SUN model and the effectiveness of the service through engaging group members in the task of running, delivery, development, and evaluation of the service. The utilisation of SUN members’ own resources and expertise is integral to the model of peer support upon which the SUN groups are based.
SUN facilitators will have regular supervision and support in this role along with appropriate training.

2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.
Aims:
- Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
- Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families
Context of role:
2wish supports anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We are a largely self-funded charity providing support across Wales and more recently, in the bordering counties with England. Our support team works very closely with our fundraising team to increase income but also to raise awareness of the work of 2wish.
This is a unique opportunity for two individuals to raise awareness of the charity, building it’s profile and engaging communities across the English counties that border Wales. It will involve helping to organise fundraising events, working with volunteers and encouraging community fundraising opportunities.
Main duties:
- To help raise awareness of 2wish and the work we do in England
- To work alongside the support team in England, Phase I and to build on the reputation of 2wish
- Research, approach and engage community groups and local supporters using mechanisms for engaging their support to develop additional sources of income
- To liaise with the public in England, Phase I who are fundraising for 2wish
- To support the delivery of community and corporate events, and monitor the income raised
- To attend community and networking events where necessary
- To actively participate in and collaborate on financial planning for England, Phase I as a business unit during regular fundraising meetings
- To submit an annual business plan and budgets for the England fundraising team
- To submit monthly and annual reports to the Fundraising Manager as required and work to monthly targets

Our family support workers will work as an integral part of our team supporting children, young people and families as they prepare for, or following a bereavement.
The work involves directly supporting beneficiaires through their journey's of loss and grief, as well as ensuring they are signposted and have access to support which impacts on ther ability to improve emtional well-being. It's not as sad as it might seem. We also spend a lot of time building positive memories and there can be a lot of laughter too.
Full training and on-going support will be offered to the right candidate where the right attitude and aptitude is as important as youe experience and qualifications. Whether a role to work around other commitments, or a step into a career within the bereavement sector, working within a charity; or to develop skills for work within Health and social care, our family suport workers will certainly enjoy a breadth of work to keep them engaged and with plenty of scope for development.

We looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our North East Care Team.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager out of our North East Care team base and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

About this key role
Our successful candidate will assess referred clients, with reference to St Giles Trust assessment practices, and produce support and risk management plans based on these assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process. You will be expected to deliver a holistic support service, working independently or with colleagues as the situation dictates, providing practical help such as social and housing support, education, training and employment options, benefits work and debt advice.
We will also rely on you to develop and maintain relationships with referral agencies, ensuring a steady flow of appropriate referrals onto the scheme, and with regional agencies, including police and social services. Closing cases efficiently and positively, identifying a survival plan for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for on-going support and agencies that can be used if serious problems develop in the future, is also an essential aspect of this role.
What we are looking for
- To have worked on an offender-led support project, had personal experience of the criminal justice system, served a prison sentence, or still be serving a prison sentence in a prison within reach of Bradford.
- Experience in negotiation with partner agencies to establish links to further aims of the project.
- Experience of engaging successfully with people with challenging or complex needs.
- To have a relevant qualification to a good standard, or be working towards one.
- Sound knowledge of ‘County Lines’ and the Government’s Prevent programme .
- Knowledge of services for offenders and patterns of offending in Leeds borough/s.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, verbal and written.
- A flexible, collaborative and professional approach to your work.

East London Apartments provides 24 hour accommodation based support for up to 31 individuals with complex histories, multiple traumas, complex personality disorder(s) and a varied, disrupted housing history with experience of homelessness as well as individuals who have been diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health conditions who are under the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
When working with individuals with complex needs, who may display challenging, chaotic behaviours, regularly testing boundaries and have experienced multiple traumas as a result of abuse, neglect, years of street homelessness, or long stays in mental health hospitals, it is integral that the post holder is motivated to support individuals to progress. They should continually hold aspirations for individuals despite multiple setbacks, and display emotional resilience, able to process challenging incidents and remain motivated to deliver excellent support.
Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.
