DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Work with the Community and Events Manager to implement Challengers Community and Events income strategy to a high standard.

·Working with the team to plan and deliver Challengers own events and external events including the marketing plan, supporter recruitment, supplier relationships, logistics, budgeting, communications, stewardship pre-event then on the day event management and post-event review.

·Cultivate, develop and manage effective relationships and partnerships with a range of community groups and supporters, including working with new, existing or lapsed donors and organisations to foster long-term Challengers, supporters.

·Support fundraisers in their DIY fundraising and development of opportunities for supporters to fundraise. Monitor online fundraising, through supporting those raising funds, to creating and maintaining clear income and communication records.

·Provide a high standard of stewardship for community and event supporters, by supporting their fundraising and wider journey and thanking them appropriately.

·Represent Challengers through public communications such as meetings, presentations and disability awareness workshops to existing and potential donors, ensuring the image of Challengers is represented correctly and in line with current policies, the vision and The Challengers Approach which is based on the Social Model of Disability.

·Support the wider Challengers Team with the delivery of fundraising events and meeting supporters in the community including some direct work on the event day which will include ad-hoc evenings and weekends for which time off in lieu will be given.

About the role:

This role is based at either our Preston or Accrington Office. After six months probation you will be eligible to apply for hybrid working. All travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed.

As a Triage & early Intervention worker you will be:

• Making initial contact assessing and providing information to victims/survivors of domestic abuse
• Providing any immediate safety and support needs for the victims/and their children(s) including safeguarding when required.
• Providing administrative support to our wider team to support them in the delivery of advocacy to victims/survivors of mainly domestic abuse.
• Liaising with the police and other agencies to ensure all relevant information is collected including safe contact numbers and consent from victims/survivors.
• Gathering feedback from service users and collating this into monthly reports and contributing to monitoring information for the service.
• Participating in regular supervisions and reviews.

You will need to:

• Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
• Understand the myths, facts and misconceptions about domestic abuse.
• Understand Safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• Understand the needs of victims/survivors of domestic abuse.
• Understand the effects of trauma and the importance of trauma informed practice.
• Have a good understanding of the Criminal Justice System.
• Have strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
• Demonstrate the ability to use IT applications competently including, Microsoft Word, Excel etc. and Case Management systems in order to keep accurate records and monitoring your performance.

World Land Trust

Summary 

World Land Trust (WLT) is at the forefront of international conservation efforts through our programme of land purchase and land acquisition in collaboration with our international partners, including the development of carbon and other payments for ecosystem services projects. WLT is seeking a Technical Officer whose role will be to support our Conservation Programmes team, working closely with the Senior Technical Officer and Director of Conservation for the development and monitoring of conservation projects and communication of the organisation’s conservation impact.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for applicants with an excellent knowledge of spatial and ecological data analyses, and monitoring and GIS will be essential for this role. Our preference is for a candidate with experience in fieldwork and biodiversity conservation. You will have good communication skills, be able to work independently as well as in close collaboration with colleagues and be able to translate technical reports and assessments to a wide range of audiences. You will be passionate about wildlife conservation and committed to furthering the mission and ethos of WLT.

The service will be a valuable point of contact for anyone affected by crime at any time to contact and receive help, support and information. It will be busy and fast paced receiving referrals and calls of varying nature from a variety of people, and working to provide an offer of support by a victim's preferred method and time of contact.

The role of Triage and Early Interventions Officer (TEIO) is a fast paced one which requires the post holder to answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to victims of crime and those accessing the service in Cumbria.

As a TEIO, you will;

• answer incoming calls, speaking to those affected by crime & manage a caseload
• make outgoing calls, assess needs and risks and action plan with callers
• work on the case management system to allocate cases, provide administration on cases and assess/ensure data quality
• liaise with other agencies where required to find out more information, give information or make referrals or give signposting information
• work with the wider team to ensure an effective, trauma informed service is given to those affected by crime

You will be a confident, compassionate and empathic person who can work well under pressure. You will be speaking to people who may be upset, angry or in emotional difficulties and will need to be composed, empathic and be able to quickly assess situations.

You will be confident in using your IT skills to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office programmes.

About the role:  

Rebuild East Midlands exists to support individuals who have experienced human trafficking and modern slavery to overcome the barriers that they might face in starting a new life, free from exploitation and slavery. As a Project Worker, you will be supporting them to connect with community resources, building resilience and improving wellbeing. You will take a holistic view to support people’s recovery to live fulfilling lives. 

We are expanding our Support Delivery Team and are looking for a Project Worker who will help us to deliver Trauma Informed support to the individuals we work with as they move forward with their lives, ensuring that support is tailored to each individual’s cultural and social needs.

Main duties and Responsibilities: 

• Key working and managing a caseload of individuals and their families, ensuring those we work with receive support appropriate to their individual needs. Supporting and signposting with regards housing, welfare rights, legal support, health, education/employment, and other aspects of life.

• Direct work with individuals, including home visits, 1-1 activities, or support to attend other agencies as required.

• To establish and maintain effective relationships with other agencies, including Social Services, other statutory and voluntary agencies, mental health services, Children Centres, GP's, and other health services, education, Court Witness Service, to ensure a multi-agency approach to support planning. 

• Promote Rebuild’s group activities to individuals and encourage to attend to enable social connection and belonging. 

• Support the planning and facilitation of group activity sessions and events. 

• Work in a needs-led, strength-based approach to partner with individuals to develop support plans to build resilience and support them to connect into the community. 

• Networking and building partnerships with local organisations and professionals to enhance the work of Rebuild in the local community. 

• To provide mental health first aid to mitigate the aftereffects of trauma caused by trafficking, sexual abuse, rape, domestic slavery or forced labour. 

• Keep accurate records for monitoring and evaluation purposes. 

• Some very occasional weekend and evening work may be required. 

• Make an active contribution to the overall work of Rebuild through team meetings, staff training, awareness and fundraising events, and any other appropriate activities. 

• Keep up to date with all organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct and work towards best practice.

In the right candidate we are looking for someone who can evidence the following: 

• At least 1 year’s previous experience in a support setting. Preferred experience of working with people who have been affected by abuse, trafficking, homelessness, mental health, complex needs, offenders and/or refugees. 

• Awareness of Trauma Informed Practice. 

• Proven knowledge of working with community organisations and signposting to different services. 

• Ability to advocate for the needs of those we work with. 

• Proven experience of carrying out needs and/or risk assessments and the support planning process. 

• An empathetic and compassionate outlook, whilst being able to maintain professional boundaries with those you work with. 

• The ability to develop and maintain good professional relationships.  

• Able to react effectively to highly pressured situations. 

• Strong communication skills with proven writing ability. 

• Discretion and work in accordance with the Data Protection Act. 

• Good people skills especially with those whom English is not the first language. 

• Proven knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures relating to adults and children and young people. 

• Valid employment rights to work in the UK. 

• The post holder will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. 

• The candidate will need to have a vehicle and valid driving licence. Mileage costs to be reimbursed.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Supporter Stewardship Assistant to join our Supporter Stewardship Team at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.

We are looking for someone to provide administrative support and deliver an excellent supporter care experience to all supporters, members and donors. You will be able to effectively engage, inspire and motivate people to support the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Within this role, you will support the team with a wide range of tasks including:

• Advise and guide our new and existing supporters to make them feel valued and engaged with the charity, maximising their fundraising potential and encouraging repeat support.
• Work in partnership with Supporter Stewardship Officers to collaboratively complete all aspects of the Supporter Stewardship workload.
• Establish good rapport and understand supporters' needs and reasons for supporting and triaging supporters as required.
• Record supporter information on the Raisers Edge database accurately.
• Order fundraising materials and packs, and process any orders needed by other members of the Fundraising Team.
• Adhere to the Data Protection Act, HMRC, Audit regulations and other internal compliance procedures and policies.
• Play an active role as part of the Supporter Stewardship Team, encourage cross-team working and participate in working groups.
• Work to business and personal development objectives and as required participate in any relevant projects as agreed with the Supporter Stewardship Manager or Head of the Supporter Care team.

We are currently seeking a Project Support Officer to take responsibility for the co-ordination and delivery of youth club activities within the Mid Essex area including Chelmsford, Maldon and across the Dengie peninsular. The role will involve working closely with the Young People Services Manager with the development and delivery of activities in the Mid and North areas of Essex.
