The successful candidate will have a knowledge of the health and social care/local community landscape and experience of working in the community advice sector, or social prescribing. Role Responsibilities: 

You will be delivering a unique and innovative information and advice-based support and enablement service for people with disabilities who are living complex and challenging lives:

· Helping them to understand and identify the issues that are undermining their quality of life.

· Exploring options for solutions, opportunities, and ways forward with clients and helping them to make choices.

· Supporting clients’ development of action plans.

· Enabling clients to fulfil their action plans and gain the life-toolkit and ability to manage future setbacks and take advantage of new opportunities.

37 hours per week with starting salary of £23,698 with pension contribution and Employee Assistance Programme.

Currently office-based Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 08.30am-4.30pm, with other hours currently home-based (Wed, and Fri).

The Role

The post holder will be part of a small team who have a shared interest in making a difference to the lives of unpaid carers throughout Southampton city. The post holder will offer front line support to unpaid carers. This will mainly be undertaken by phone, with some face-to-face work, and include carers assessments and reviews (training will be provided).They will actively listen to carers and provide them with information, advice, and support to enable them to continue living their lives to the fullest and reduce any negative impacts of their caring role. The post holder will also deliver some ‘outreach’ in the city. This might involve attending groups to talk to carers and raise awareness. They will be expected to assist with the planning and delivery of carer events eg. monthly carers lunches, and carry out other reasonable tasks in order to support Southampton’s unpaid carers.

This role is subject to a basic DBS check.

You will have experience of listening sensitively to and gathering information from people who need support. Ideally you will have experience of helping others to achieve a positive outcome.

The role

This important role sits within our Supply Chain and Logistics team who are responsible for processing offers of surplus food from our food partners into our network of Regional Centres and the wider community. Main areas of responsibility

Food Industry Customer Service

• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring offers are responded to and processed within agreed service level requirements
• Assist in capturing key account information in our CRM system

Regional Centre allocation

• Adhere to the requirements of the Network Service Level Agreement
• Work with the Supply Chain and Logistics Officers to match food supplied to Regional Centre needs, always working to maximise surplus redistribution and minimise waste
• Ensure that offers are allocated in an efficient and timely manner according to network needs and agreed priorities to maximise social impact of surplus food
• Using our CRM system, maintain timely records of accounts, allocations, offers and case management
• Maintain high standards of customer service to the Network and Operations teams and develop respectful and effective working relationships with the Regional Centres

 Logistics and transport

• Work with hauliers to plan transport requirements and ensure that we are able to meet network demand
• Work with Regional Centres to coordinate and plan routes for internal FareShare logistics
• Reactively solve transport issues throughout the working day

Data and analysis

• Analyse Salesforce reports to increase efficiency of allocation
• Use dashboards to monitor network issues

Team coordination and representation

We are looking for a Communications Assistant to join our small but mighty team, that enjoy working together to support our voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector here in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

This is a new role to deliver projects to raise our profile, enhance our brand visibility, drive engagement, raise income and help us to develop positive relationships with our key stakeholders and audiences. About Cornwall VSF

Cornwall VSF’s role is to connect, support and promote the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We have strong productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in Cornwall including a range of public sector organisations.

About the role:

This is a hybrid role.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as the Triage and Early Interventions Officer for the new Thames Valley Adults Victim Service. You will work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Thames Valley Police, criminal justice agencies as well as other statutory agencies and third sector organisations across the Thames Valley.

Funded by the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley the Adults Victims Service will provide emotional and practical support to adult victims of any crime. Support will be delivered in an innovative manner primarily through specialist group work provision - alongside online and telephone caseworker support. It will also play a vital role in making victims aware of crime and supporting agencies support victims of crime.

Your role will involve supporting people on the telephone, by text or email from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different experiences. You will process initial referrals received from the PCC's Victim First Hub making initial contact with victim survivors to confirm what type of support best meets their needs and referring them to the support. Your role will include case creation and updating systems. No two days will be the same and you will have the communication skills and resilient nature to help those dealing with trauma and the effects of crime, who may have gone through a life-changing experience.

You will need to be:

Confident, compassionate and empathic person who can work well under pressure. You will be speaking to people who may be upset, angry or in emotional difficulties and will need to be composed, empathic and be able to quickly assess situations.

You will be confident in using your IT skills to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office programmes.

About the role

Smart Works exists to empower all women who need help getting into work. We are currently in a significant growth phase, doubling the number of women we support to 10,000 women a year by 2025. As such, we require vital cornerstone funding and are seeking to establish a Major Gifts function, to secure donations from high-net worth individuals, that will enable us to achieve our mission and help thousands of women to transform their lives.

This is an exciting new role that provides an opportunity to build a new major gifts programme from scratch. Supported by the Director of Partnerships, you will work closely with the CEO, Board, and our network of 750 volunteers, to develop a giving strategy that will engage and grow a new pool of crucial supporters for Smart Works.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing major donors, as well as conducting prospect research, developing bespoke stewardship materials, and securing five-figure and six-figure repeat gifts.

We seek an excellent communicator, with significant experience in influencing, negotiating and exceeding set targets. Creativity, an understanding of women’s fashion, and knowledge of wealth circles would also be advantageous.

The Fundraising and Partnerships team are based in London. Duties and responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, the successful candidate will:

• Lead the development and delivery of a giving programme, building a pipeline and carrying out proactive prospect research
• Secure five-figure and six-figure multi-year gifts from major donors, to exceed income targets
• Research and identify prospective major donors who could support Smart Works, through existing warm networks and via outreach to cold audiences
• Work collaboratively across teams and functions to produce creative and compelling propositions and materials to secure both core and restricted funding
• Represent Smart Works to a diverse range of stakeholders and audiences to generate income and raise brand awareness
• Develop cultivation events considering regional hotspots
• Acknowledge, thank and recognize donors appropriate to their level of support and ensure restricted gifts are appropriately allocated
• Manage donor database and reporting
• Support Smart Works’ local centres across the UK and share learnings and guidance to help others build their Major Gifts potential

Skills, knowledge and personal attributes

Essential Criteria

• A track record of cultivating strong and positive relationships with multiple, senior and high-net worth individuals
• Demonstrable experience of making the ask, and an ability to support senior staff, volunteers and trustees to do so
• Interpersonal verbal communication and presentation skills, in order to foster strong relationships with donors and networks alike
• Target driven with excellent organisation and time management capabilities, demonstrating an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
