About the role

Our Welfare Officers provide direct and impactful welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family. As a trusted and confidential source of support, you will assist our service users with challenges they are facing, from mental ill-health, difficult relationships, domestic abuse, financial and cost-of-living concerns, resettlement, housing, childcare, equality issues, bereavement, military discharge or deployment and many more - no day will be the same, as such this is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the Welfare sector.

Our intervention is provided with consent on a non-statutory basis, and you will work with and engage our service users to develop appropriate interventions for individual outcomes.

Our service is transitioning to become more accessible and inclusive, digital technology plays a key role in this, as such you will use digital technologies to complement and enhance processes and service user experience.

You will play an active role within the community, promoting the service through the delivery of presentations and representing the service at public engagement events. You will also work closely with RAF welfare teams, local authorities, health, education, civilian agencies, charities and other military organisations to ensure the best outcome for the service user.

2024 marks 34 years since SSAFA began delivering an independent non-statutory, and confidential service, for the Royal Air Force community across the UK, and this is an exciting time to be joining as we were recently successful in our bid to continue delivering this service.

About you

To thrive in this role you will have relevant experience of supporting adults, families and children/young people. You will be able to take a flexible and creative approach to problem solving. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver presentations with confidence.

You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.

It would be advantageous if you have experience of carrying out assessments, preparing plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes.

There will be some travel required and therefore you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own car.

Position: Corporate Fundraiser 

Location: East Molesey office (opposite Hampton Court Station) with some home working 

Reports to: Corporate Partnerships Lead 

Hours: 32 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Main Purpose of the Role 

Momentum Children’s Charity’s fundraising team is highly ambitious, driven by our goal to help families of seriously ill children in London, Surrey and Sussex to keep moving forward. Corporate income currently comprises circa 18% of the overall income. But with our expansion in hospital partnership geography, and aspiration to provide support to more families in the future, the expansion of this income stream will be key to this growth. 

Working with the Corporate Partnerships Lead, this person will enjoy helping to develop all facets of the corporate fundraising area, working with and forging relationships with businesses to develop opportunities, fundraising and charitable giving, provide outstanding stewardship and relationship management, as well as helping to research and grow a healthy, robust pipeline of new opportunities.

Main Areas of Responsibility 

· Work with the Corporate Lead to maximise current and new income, to ensure delivery of the annual target

Key Responsibilities

Spear Programme

Church Community

About us:

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and those who care about them. We help ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other activities after surgery, and give them the confidence to return to a full life and take on fresh challenges. About the role:

As the Fundraising Executive you will work to grow income through developing our community engagement, attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters (individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, volunteers etc). You will lead on the stewardship of events and challenges, including our annual Step Up campaign, by supporting individuals and groups to raise funds through fundraising activities. The evaluation team works with schools and organisations, analysing the impact of programmes and interventions to help them do more of what works and less of what doesn’t. The Opportunity

The School Engagement Coordinator is a new role working across ImpactEd Evaluation. The role will work directly with schools to deliver national research projects, support their onboarding to our School Impact Platform, and lead communications and data collection for our partnerships. The role would be a good fit for someone with experience or interest in the school sector and research and evaluation.

Day to day your role is likely to be a mixture of:

• Supporting new schools we are working with through their onboarding and data collection processes and monitoring progress
• Working with school leaders and teachers to implement research in their setting - for example on projects like our Understanding Attendance research
• General support for partnership delivery and administrative tasks working with different team members
• Standardised reporting and data analysis – this will require good attention to detail and working with Excel and MS Office Suite

About the role:

This role is based in our Islington office with the flexibility of hybrid working. As a Children & Young People's Caseworker, you will:

• Conduct needs and risk assessments to ensure each CYP receives an individual support package that meets their needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional & practical support.
• Provide one to one support to children & young people living in families affected by domestic abuse, managing a caseload of approx. 12-15
• Regularly review the assessment of risk ensuring appropriate action is taken, making referrals to MARAC and local safeguarding processes
• Consult & involve children & young people in making decisions about themselves & service developments
• Establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing, attending meetings as required

Purpose of Post

This is a position offering someone with the appropriate values and experience, the opportunity to play a pivotal part in our small HR team (Head of HR and Senior HR Coordinator). Community Fundraising

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a passionate, ambitious Assistant Charity Shop Manager to join our successful team to help manage our charity shop in Old Swan.

The Assistant Shop Manager will be an integral part of the wider Charity team. 

Main Duties/Tasks:

You will be pivotal in assisting the Shop Manager in leading and empowering a team of volunteers to engage with the local community, maximising the contribution of gifts of time from volunteers, the gifts of products from our donors and the gift of income from our customers. You will be an ambassador of Alder Hey Children’s Charity on the high street.

Income generation

• Work with the Shop Manager to maximise sales and profits ensuring weekly targets are met.

• Support the team to maximise income from Gift Aid on donated products.
