Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer the wellbeing and life skills programme, keeping to clear objectives linking to Bramber Bakehouse’s mission, vision, values & Theory of Change
• Ensure the programme pathway, from referral to graduation, runs efficiently
• Co-facilitate the teaching of the wellbeing and life skills workshops, working collaboratively with facilitators and volunteers to ensure these workshops are delivered to a high standard
• Working with the programme facilitator, prepare session materials according to the needs of the group
• Communicate well and plan with team members, including logistics and problem solving while the programme is running, and facilitating session and programme briefs and de-briefs
• Support in the physical set-up and pack down of each workshop
• Coordinate data collection and entry for the monitoring and evaluation of the programme, reporting back to the Service Manager
• Ensure the programme is delivered according to the needs of the women we support
• Ensure a welcoming, safe environment for each woman attending the programme
• Be fully familiar with the wellbeing & life skills workshop materials, providing session cover for
• staff and volunteer facilitators when needed
• Provide on site support for a small team of volunteers and facilitators during the programme sessions, passing concerns and staff support needs to the Service Manager

Support and Risk Assessment

• Identify the support needs of applicants and, working closely with the Service Manager, carry out thorough individual risk assessments
• Work closely with the Service Manager to assess applicant's suitability and readiness for the programme
• Begin to identify progression pathways for the women attending the programme, working collaboratively with, and handing over to, the Progression Programme Coordinator
• Monitor and record the progression of graduates during the programme
• Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns to the Service Manager, in accordance with Bramber Bakehouse’s policies and procedures
• Contribute to ensuring the programme is delivered with a trauma informed approach

Volunteer Coordination

• Work with the Service Manager to recruit volunteers, when required
• Support volunteers during the programme sessions
• Alongside the Service Manager, provide some one to one and group supervision for volunteers.
• Contribute to providing volunteer training and development
• Process volunteer DBS admin, references, and expenses

Referral Partners

• Ensure good communication and working relationships with partners who refer women into the Bramber Bakehouse programme
• Working closely with the Service Manager, support with opportunities to follow up with referral partners, including attending annual Open House events
• Liaise with referrers to provide holistic and joined up support for students during the programme

Programme Administration

• Working closely with the Service Manager, process the launch, collection, reviewing, and assessing of applications
• Arrange and complete applicant interviews (with the Service Manager), preparing them for the programme and its contents
• Where required, sensitively communicate with referrers and applicants when a woman is not ready to attend the programme.
• Administer the programme waiting list
• Data entry and some report analysis
• Look after the referrals and enquiries inboxes
• Process student travel expenses
• Keep clear notes of session and programme pre-planning meetings and de-briefs and track action follow up
• Supporting with the integration of a new CRM

The Bone Cancer Research Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Fundraising Assistant to join our fabulous Fundraising Team and to act as a first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries.

As an integral member of the Fundraising team, the Fundraising Assistant will support the delivery of a range of successful fundraising activities across the organisation, in order to maximise income for the Bone Cancer Research Trust. By providing our supporters with a first-class fundraising experience, you will give them the tools, knowledge, and materials they need to raise as much money as possible to ensure our life-saving work continues.

Our supporters are at the heart of all we do at the Bone Cancer Research Trust and the Fundraising Assistant role offers a unique opportunity to work with our fantastic fundraisers and supporters daily.

From head shaves to skydives, dress-down days to marathons, you will provide excellent stewardship support and help us to develop solid and long-lasting relationships with our supporters, groups and companies based across the UK.

This exciting role is a fantastic introduction into the wonderful world of fundraising, and it will give the successful candidate the opportunity to learn about different fundraising income streams, all whilst making a huge difference to people affected by primary bone cancer.

Duties will include:

• Providing administrative and operational support across the fundraising team;
• Developing excellent and enduring relationships with current and potential supporters;
• Supporting community-based fundraising volunteers and groups;
• Assisting with the organisation of BCRT’s fundraising campaigns and events;
• Representing BCRT at events;
• Administration of Facebook fundraisers and use of our digital platforms to thank fundraisers and record supporter data;
• Inputting accurate information into our database and maintain up-to-date records to help us make informed decisions;
• Managing stock levels and orders, liaising with suppliers, processing orders, and working with the team to ensure the fulfilment of orders.

Your role

As Assistant Shop Manager at Scope's IIkley shop, you’ll work alongside the Shop Manager, and use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. A great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as relevant experience.

About you

You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and committed to providing excellent customer service. You do not need specific retail experience. Job Description  

The Partnership Officer will be a key member of The Hygiene Bank’s income generation team and wider central team, with a responsibility to help meet the needs of our existing partnerships and support in fulfilling the charity’s income generation plans and strategy. 

Key Responsibilities 

You will support the management of our brand and corporate partners, working with the Head of Brand and Corporate Partnerships. Your role will be to develop and deliver partnership strategies and stewardship plans for each account, to deliver against our objectives and meet income targets. 

• Work closely with the Head of Brands and Corporate Partnerships and to ensure the collaborative transition of new partners into account management, liaise with (Brand Coordinator/ Product Donation Manager) and Head of Fundraising, Communications and External Awareness and Head of Operations. 

• Identify and outreach to target brands and corporate partners, working to engage their support for the charity

• Accurately forecast and manage expenditures for our partners, working with the Head of Brand and Corporate partnerships to create mitigation plans when necessary.

Whether you are answering emails and calls, ensuring safeguarding measures are upheld or supporting members and volunteers through the onboarding processes, you will be helping to ensure this much needed service reaches those who need it most, in a safe and efficient manner.

Utilising your excellent customer service skills, you will be the first port of call to support our volunteers and older members - so you'll need to be comfortable spending a lot of time on the phone and communicating by email. This role can either be based at our office in Blackpool, or in Ashburton Devon. Advance is an award-winning and innovative women-only organisation, established in 1998, providing emotional and practical support to women and girls survivors of domestic abuse and supporting women with short-term sentences to reduce offending.   We believe in empowering women and girls to lead safe, non-violent, equal lives so that they can flourish and contribute to the community.

The project:

We are in the process of expanding our service beyond our London footprint to Bedfordshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Kent, along with Thames Valley, providing one-to-one advocacy and specialist work including workshops and group activities delivered by Advance in partnership with voluntary organisations.

This role plays a critical part in coordinating the group offering for women accessing our services, as well as providing administration support across the region.

In short you will:

•    Be the first point of contact for clients coming to the Women’s Centre; offering a warm welcome and trauma informed approach. 

•    Hold responsibility for the Minerva telephone number and email account in your region. 

•    Assist in researching additional resources and events for service users; both within the Centre and across the region. 

•    Contribute to creating and lead on updating the local Services Directory with details of local organisations, key contacts and details of services on offer, including eligibility criteria.  

•    Assist the Service Manager in managing the smooth running of the Women’s Centre in your region, including managing the group workshops timetable, arranging meetings and booking external venues for client groups or training events.

•    Manage administration for the Kent Minerva team

•    Assist the Service Manager with the quality assurance and collation of data and information as required, including for funder reports.

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire.

We are looking for two Support Workers (Community Connectors – Engagement Team) to join our team. We have two positions available one position in Aylesbury and one position in High Wycombe. Please state on the supporting statement which position (or both) you are applying for.

Your challenge? To provide advice, support, advocacy and key work for recovery plans and undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed. And, all the while, we’ll expect you to operate in a way that recognises and values diversity and understands the functional model of substance misuse, the Recovery Agenda and the problems caused by alcohol and drug misuse.

Preferably with a NVQ 2/3 in Social Care, or willing to attain this, you are used to working to policy and procedural requirements that include child protection, vulnerable adults, confidentiality and health & safety. We’ll also be looking for good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and fulfil data requirements. A flexible approach is important too, as is a commitment to taking a client centred approach to providing services and working in a way that recognises and values diversity.

This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

Age UK's Telephone Friendship Service is recruiting for an Assessment Coordinator to join our dedicated team!

We crucially support thousands of matches between older people and trained volunteers, who together enjoy a regular weekly telephone chat. Our service makes a huge difference to the lives of older people who are lonely and isolated - giving them a chance to make a new friend from the comfort of their home.

As Assessment Coordinator, the successful candidate will play a vital role supporting older people through the initial stages of the service, ensuring processes run safely and efficiently.

We support older people all over the UK - so you'll need to be comfortable spending a lot of time on the phone and communicating by email - and have excellent conversational and customer service skills. You'll also need to be passionate about supporting older people and have a good understanding of older people's needs.

This role will be based at our office in Ashburton Devon. We offer a hybrid model of home and office based-working, so you will need to be within a reasonable distance of our Ashburton office and be willing to travel there regularly. As a guide, the team currently work from the office once or twice a week but please be aware this could increase.

You will work a 35-hour working week, 5 days out of 7 with start and end times between 8am and 6pm. It will include weekend and bank holiday shifts, which will be arranged on a rota basis.

Background

Bipolar UK is the only national charity dedicated to empowering individuals and families affected by bipolar. Peer support is at the core of our work. We empower approximately 1,000 people a month to stay well - and we have the ambition to reach thousands more.

Bipolar does not discriminate on the grounds of sex, gender, age, ethnicity, race or background, consequently it affects everyone, and we estimate that one million people in the UK live with the condition many of whom remain undiagnosed, that's 1 in 50.  The condition also increases the risk of suicide by 20 times.  Bipolar impacts on relationships, missed milestones for young people with their peers, education, economic stability and employment, and creates social and economic problems and debt for those affected through symptomatic overspending.  Therefore, Bipolar UK are working hard to improve diagnosis times and support pathways to enable individuals affected by the condition to live well and fulfil their potential. At the heart of this is our peer support enabling our community to access tools and support to manage their condition.

About the role:

Bipolar UK is delighted to have this post funded through a new grant and we are seeking to recruit a Senior Peer Support Officer to work 3-days per week.

We are looking for an experienced person who is familiar with peer support and lived experience models to support and engage members of our London community who are affected by bipolar from a range of backgrounds.

Your role will include managing volunteers, increasing engagement in local existing support groups and developing new ones.  Working with our self-management trainers to run psycho-education courses.  The role will require you to work across London both online via Teams and Zoom and in-person.

This new post is an exciting addition to our team as we are seeking to increase awareness across racialised and minoritised communities and improve access to peer support for people affected by bipolar commencing with a new steering group.
