We are seeking a well organised individual to support with the management and development of our foundations, grants and trusts work.

As we enter our seventh year as a charity and our work established within West Wales, we are now getting set to fulfil our mission that all children, wherever they reside in Wales, should be able to access the right support, at the right time.

Our new Foundations, grants and trusts officer will Work closely with the fundraising Officer and wider team and be able to guide and navigate their way through the various ways we need to engage with, apply to and subsequently report back to trusts and foundations; large and small.

The role is offered full or part-time and with the flexibility of office based in Pembrokeshire or working remotely from anywhere within Wales. The role will support our work across Wales and will have regular travel around the country and to meetings in our Pembrokeshire Centre.

We support autistic people, people with a disability, and people and families experiencing barriers to live healthier, happier, and inclusive lives. Advocacy 1st is a free, independent service provided by advocates who specialise in the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and the Mental Health Act.

Location: Remote based in Oxfordshire

Key duties:

· Recruiting, training and providing ongoing support to volunteers

· Working with the children and young people to assess their service requirements

· Working with stakeholders to raise awareness and recognise and identify care leavers and young people in need of the Independent Visitors and Care Leavers service

· Looking at opportunities to engage and work with services to identify care leavers and independent visitors

· Reporting and discussing all safeguarding concerns with the service manager

· Completing initial assessments and matching volunteers to young people

· Raising the profile of the Independent Visitors and Care Leavers service

We're now looking for a Governance Administrator to join our team! You'll provide essential administrative support to our Governance Manager, board of Trustees and Executive Leadership Team.

Your responsibilities will include co-ordinating essential administrative tasks: preparation, collation and distribution of agendas, meeting information packs, minutes and reports and managing actions following board and committee meetings. You will also provide diary management support to the Board of Trustees. Additionally, you will assist in organising key events such as the Annual General Meeting and trustee elections.

You will support the Governance Manager in maintaining our Companies House and Charity Commission records, as well as overseeing the Board of Trustees internal communications.

In addition to supporting the Governance Manager in delivering on the Association's governance functions, you'll be a valued member of the wider CEO Office Team.

What are we looking for?

We need a skilled administrator who can effectively support our Board and CEO team.

As a proactive and confident individual, you'll excel in managing multiple and competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality. Your strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office applications, will be essential for this role.

Effective communication is key. You'll be liaising with senior stakeholders and external contacts through email, phone, Microsoft Teams, virtual and face-to-face meetings and events. Strong written communication skills are particularly important as this role will involve minuting meetings.

Flexibility is also crucial, as occasional out-of-office hours and travel to external venues, may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Spear Programme

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Edinburgh. You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients’ home or other suitable community venue and be home based for telephone referrals and administrative tasks.  Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Operations Team and play a part in the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of our buildings and kitchens, ensuring that they continue to serve and support the ministry of HT.

Responsibilities

Some of the key areas of responsibility for this role are outlined below:

Cleaning & Room Setup

• Ensuring the buildings and grounds at HT are clean, tidy and ready to be used for our different mid-week events and for our Sunday services, liaising with our contract cleaners and carrying out cleaning duties yourself
• Setting up for events and services, moving tables / chairs etc as needed
• Litter picking externally and ensuring our grounds are well presented and well-maintained
• Keeping note of stocks of cleaning materials, and ordering more as needed
• Ensuring our stocks of clean laundry are always sufficient, sending and receiving laundry and liaising with our laundry contractor as needed

Kitchens

• Keeping our commercial kitchens clean and tidy and overseeing record keeping
• Understanding and ensuring compliance with our requirements under the Safer Food
• Better Business food safety management procedures
• Ensuring our kitchen equipment is well maintained and arranging annual gas safety checks
• Carrying out daily checks
• Keeping track of levels of cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed

Fire Safety

• Carrying out weekly fire alarm tests
• Carrying out other regular tests and checks, such as emergency lighting tests & fire door seal tests

Health & Safety

• Understanding and ensuring compliance under the COSHH regulations
• Regularly checking and re-stocking first aid kits

General Maintenance & Ad Hoc

• Performing maintenance tasks as required, such as painting, gardening etc
• Moving items as need between our buildings and off-site storage unit

Personal Specification:

We are looking for a can-do, servant hearted person who is:

Terms & Conditions:

Objective:

2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.

Aims:

• Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
• Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
• Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families

Context of role:

2wish supports anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We are a largely self-funded charity providing support across Wales and more recently, in the bordering counties with England. Our support team works very closely with our fundraising team to increase income but also to raise awareness of the work of 2wish.

This is a unique opportunity for two individuals to raise awareness of the charity, building it’s profile and engaging communities across the English counties that border Wales. It will involve helping to organise fundraising events, working with volunteers and encouraging community fundraising opportunities.

Main duties:

• To help raise awareness of 2wish and the work we do in England
• To work alongside the support team in England, Phase I and to build on the reputation of 2wish
• Research, approach and engage community groups and local supporters using mechanisms for engaging their support to develop additional sources of income
• To liaise with the public in England, Phase I who are fundraising for 2wish
• To support the delivery of community and corporate events, and monitor the income raised
• To attend community and networking events where necessary
• To actively participate in and collaborate on financial planning for England, Phase I as a business unit during regular fundraising meetings
• To submit an annual business plan and budgets for the England fundraising team
• To submit monthly and annual reports to the Fundraising Manager as required and work to monthly targets
• Supporting the 2wish Fundraising Team with events and community fundraising
• Working with the Volunteer Coordinator to identify and secure volunteers and ambassadors, meeting them regularly and maintaining engagement
• Maintain relationships with all donors including attending cheque presentations
• To work flexibly, travel, and make overnight stays when required
• To attend weekend and evening community events in support of the charity when required
• A ‘hands-on’ and ‘can-do’ attitude
• Contribute on the social media platforms maintained by 2wish

General

• To be responsible for organising own work agenda, time management and administration

It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are, in many circumstances, unpredictable and varied. The salary is in line with the BITC job framework - minimum of £22,770 per annum regional and £25,875 per annum London office based. 

The location is flexible - across the UK - homebased or based out of a BITC office with a hybrid approach.

The responsibilities include: 

• Undertaking project management, including coordinating the team
• Tracking, monitoring and evaluating engagement with our inclusion campaigns via internal systems including Salesforce and Power BI
• Supporting the team with primary research, literature reviews of secondary sources and analysis of numerical data
• Developing content such as toolkits, factsheets, blogs, slide decks, case studies and other knowledge-based content to support businesses to engage with and implement campaign asks
• Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships

The Finance Assistant works in a department currently comprising Finance Director, Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager and Finance Assistant.

The department is responsible for all aspects of the financial affairs of the Society and its related trusts. The Finance Assistant is responsible to the Assistant Finance Manager.

They take responsibility for processing the day-to-day transactions of the company across purchase ledger, sales ledger and the cash book, and ensure the smooth operation of the office. They will also need to work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Hallé as well as with external customers and suppliers.

The post is full-time permanent based on a 36.25-hour week. Our core office hours are 09.00-17:15, from Monday to Friday. There is an option to work up to 50% of hours from home.

Consideration will be given to applicants wanting to work part-time at an appropriate level to meet the requirements of the role.

Development / Fundraising Assistant
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, with flexibility to increase to 37 hours per week. (Some evening and weekend work required in line with fundraising events).
Salary: £24,031 - £25,863 per annum FTE (£19,484.59 - £20,970 pro rata for 30 hours per week) dependant on skills, experience and knowledge
Contract: Permanent
Base: Osney Mead, Oxford, Frequent travel within Oxfordshire and Berkshire required.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting Fundraisers throughout their journey with us (stewardship) such as but not limited to; send materials to fundraisers such as t-shirts, and certificates, making calls/thank you calls, sending letters to event supporters.
• Attending events and assisting with activities on the day.
• Responding to supporters’ queries and requests, providing email cover across multiple inboxes.
• Help support content for communications/marketing.
• Help support the team identify fundraising opportunities.
• Maintain, develop and update the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) system and in turn become the team's champion/subject expert.

The Role

To work as part of the retail team, in supporting merchandising, processing deliveries, serving customers, and maintaining high levels of presentation and customer service.

The Arboretum Shop welcomes many thousands of visitors throughout the year, from schools, families, armed services, veterans, and the public. We carry a varied range of merchandise that links back to our site.

This is a casual role designed to support the retail team through peek trading periods, holiday support, key event days, and evening events such as Illuminated Arboretum, to name but a few.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

We are seeking an experienced and influential leader to join us as our new Chief Executive.  You will play a critical role in leading the organisation and representing PATA and its members in the ever-evolving Early Education and Children’s Play sectors.

PATA is the largest voluntary sector provider of support to the Early Years and Play (Out of School) sector in Gloucestershire.  We are a Charity based in Gloucester with around 170 member settings and manage five of our own Early Years settings (PATA Managed Groups (PMGs)).  Our mission is to support the development of high quality and accessible early education, play and provision for children, young people and their families.

At its heart, PATA is a people-based organisation and you will be joining a strong and committed team, both in the Head Office and the PMGs.  You will lead the organisation, working with the Board of Trustees in setting the strategic vision, mission and priorities.  You will be a voice for PATA and its members, building partnerships, participating in consultation processes, and challenging policy and other initiatives for the benefit of the sector, as and when appropriate.

The role is part time, 21 hours per week, 42 weeks annually, to be worked flexibly to meet business need, as agreed with the Chair of Trustees and in association with the Senior Management Team. There is flexibility for this to be a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days based from the Head Office in Gloucester.
