The Fundraising Officer at the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) supports a wide range of the charity’s activities, including but not limited to, helping to develop and grow income from individual donors with a focus on developing strong relationships with donors and families; as well as assisting with CHECT’s overall admin and operations.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping families affected by retinoblastoma and shares our values to increase awareness through communications and appeals, expanding our social media and website content and supporting our exciting fundraising efforts.
You will have a high level of autonomy and will be given the opportunity to develop new ideas in a role that is varied and flexible.
Key Objectives of the role:
- To assist the Fundraising Manager on the organisation of events primarily mass participation events
- To assist the Fundraising Manager in providing excellent stewardship to all of CHECT’s supporters
- Management of the fundraising inbox, social media and regular email and telephone communications
- To provide admin and communication support to the wider CHECT team, monitoring the info@inbox and collecting and sending office post

Join AWT as our new Environmental Economist & Nature Recovery Land Buyer and you will make a significant contribution to achieving our goals of creating 1000ha of new habitat by 2030, with the Trust purchasing at least 100ha of new land.
This exciting area of work offers significant opportunities to tackle the climate and ecological crises. AWT has a wealth of ecological expertise and is a leader in local environmental markets having developed BNG and Bat credits and processes.
You will work with the Senior Leadership Team and expert ecologists, to develop the vision for large-scale land purchases and improvements to our existing reserves. With your background in environmental economics, you will assess the multiple benefits each project could offer and develop business cases that facilitate investment from the emerging green finance markets. Resulting in a prospectus of land purchase opportunities which will guide the Trust’s ambitions up to 2030.
You will also support the Head of Nature Recovery with land purchases, giving you the chance to input into projects as they develop and see theoretical benefits come to life.
Key Tasks:
· Using AWT’s Green Finance Review Process, carry out assessments of existing reserves and land on the open market, to enable the creation of a fully costed Land Purchase Prospectus, which will inform AWT’s actions for years to come.
· Lead the acquisition process for AWT's first Nature Recovery land purchase - aiming to be completed by the end of 2024.
· Work closely with senior staff to develop AWT’s customer base for credit sales. Initially focusing on Biodiversity Net Gain, bat credits and carbon credits.
We want to see nature restored on a grand scale across the Avon region. We have big plans between now and 2030 to see this happen.

Job Purpose:
- Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising strategy as a member of the Fundraising Team
- Have day to day responsibility for the Individual Giving income stream
- Manage a portfolio of existing Individual Giving supporters, providing exceptional supporter care and building relationships, stewarding and nurturing existing donors.
- Improve supporter retention and maximise donors’ lifetime value to hyh
- Manage, develop and lead on the use of hyh’s CRM effectively to segment data and make insight-led decisions. This includes developing new reports, liaising with the external CRM consultant to make improvements, writing up procedures and training members of the team in best practice.
- Acquire and develop new donors through solicitation and stewardship plans using a supporter journey programme to build engagement and loyalty.
- Develop marketing and comms materials through digital and other channels to deliver the programme.
- Maximise all opportunities to develop regular giving, appeals, one-off occasion donations, in-mem and legacy

Role description
As Commercial Sales & Events Coordinator you’ll provide essential administrative and operational support to the weddings and event hire team. Dealing with initial enquiries and conducting show-rounds to putting together event packages and maintaining the booking system are all in a days work. In addition, you’ll be adept at liaising with clients and suppliers, setting up for events and delivering the best possible experience to guests on the day – always making sure we deliver a first-class service. Weddings, film shoots (we can certainly name drop a few people!), event and venue hires - you’ll deliver excellent customer service and administrative support. You’ll be helping to maximize Gunnersbury’s commercial potential and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. There is real variety to this role and an opportunity to work across all areas of the estate.

We are looking for a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer to join the Start Network within our Humanitarian Department to support the ongoing MEAL activities for the Start Funds to enhance its performance, learning, and accountability.

Start Network is an independent charity made up of more than 80 aid agency members across five continents, including international, national and local organisations.

We advocate for radical change in the global aid system so that the world can deal better with the humanitarian challenges of today, and of the future. Our work focuses on three areas to change the system:

- New forms of financing – providing fast, early, and dependable funding, to help communities to become more resilient to crises.

The Start Funds MEAL Officer will work with colleagues within both SCUK and Start Network. Previously (until May 2019) Start Network and Start Funds and Programmes were hosted by Save the Children UK (SCUK) since its creation in 2012. The position sits within Save the Children UK as a Grant Custodian on behalf of the Start Network supported by a Grant Custodian Agreement (GCA) which describes the roles and commitments of each entity.

About the role
The Start Network funds have a robust monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) portfolio to strengthen evidence-based learning, performance and overall accountability towards the people affected by or at-risk of crises, donors, members, and partners.
Reporting to the Crisis Financing MEAL Lead, the Start Funds MEAL Officer will play an important role to support the ongoing MEAL activities for the Start Funds to enhance its performance, learning, and accountability.

In this role, you will:
Performance
- Support development, monitoring, and reporting of Start Funds' Key Performance Indicators and related metrics used in donor reporting, Start Fund Committee meetings and in other external fora as required.
- Strengthen management information systems and processes for data quality, storage and visualisation.
- Contribute towards the identification and implementation of diverse and innovative approaches to MEAL.
- Coordinate with the Communications and Membership Engagement teams to develop and widely disseminate learning outputs produced by the MEAL team.
Accountability
- Deliver and enhance Start Funds' quality, accountability and monitoring practices to members, partners and affected populations by conducting Learning Exchanges, reviewing project report forms and carrying out project assessments
- Manage Learning Grant processes and outputs in coordination with MEAL Advisor
Knowledge
- Contribute towards continuous improvement of technical quality, processes and outputs of Start Funds MEAL including, but not limited to, the development of methodological guidelines, MEAL tools and approaches.
- Produce and support various thematic research, reviews, studies and learning products according to the MEAL work plan.
- Support capacity building activities for the Start Funds Programme team and the wider and membership for relevant themes such as data quality, evidence-based programming etc.
- Support the MEAL Advisor in business development activities including the scaling-up of the Start Funds.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Previous experience delivering MEAL for humanitarian or development programmes
- Excellent data analysis skills
- Proven experience of embracing new approaches, technology and ways of working
- Experience of using qualitative and quantitative analysis software
- Experience of using Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present data and evidence in a user-friendly form and to stakeholders at different levels
- Demonstrable experience of strong teamwork capabilities and collaboration
- Undergraduate degree, ideally in social science, research methods, humanitarian response or related fields
- Language skills - working proficiency in Spanish

Overview of the role
The Executive & HR Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring that BRAC’s office in Europe operates efficiently and effectively to deliver its mission to support BRAC’s work.
