Engaging increasing numbers of schools in ACN’s Membership programme, fundraising initiatives, and developing new initiatives and resources working strategically with the Community Fundraiser in Scotland.

Reporting to the Manager of Operations in Scotland this post will provide key logistical and administrative support. The Youth & Events Co-ordinator in Scotland will contribute to the objectives set out in Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) UK’s overall strategic plan, focusing on agreed aspects of the fundraising and marketing strategy, which contribute to the effective fundraising and awareness raising and ACN’s core aim of providing more aid to the Church in need.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Reach out to Scottish primary and secondary schools and youth settings in the central area of Scotland.
Develop and facilitate initiatives/programmes and resources to be offered to the above groups within a given diocese or throughout the Scottish dioceses as well as sharing resources to develop organisation-wide initiatives.
Develop and deliver themed presentations and workshops; organise mailings to contact targeted groups/areas. Follow this up with appointments
Administratively responsible for all ACN events in Scotland, in close cooperation with the Manager of Operations in Scotland, the Community Fundraiser for Scotland, Administrative Support in the Scottish Office and the Fundraising and Marketing Team. Responsible for promoting events via social media posts leading up to and during events. Using social media after events to recognise success and encourage future engagement.

The Diocese of Chester is seeking to recruit a Diocesan Environment Adviser to this exciting new, part time role. They will work with the newly formed Eco Diocese Group as they inspire, encourage and support individuals, churches and other Christian communities to cherish creation, live responsibly and speak up. In particular, they will enable greater and more effective participation in the Eco Church initiative by individual parishes and deaneries.
The successful candidate will have a developed understanding of a variety of personal, local and political responses to environmental challenges as well as experience of environmental engagement in a local church, school or other organisation.

Location
We all work from home, however travel and overnight stays are required as part of the role. The biennial prizegiving ceremony is also held in London. It would be helpful if you had a full UK driving licence and access to your own car.

Upbeat Communities delivers several services to welcome refugees and support them to rebuild their lives. We are looking to recruit an Integration Worker who will offer support working on the refugee resettlement scheme.
Refugee resettlement takes place across Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. Over the past 7 years, Upbeat Communities has welcomed and played a key part in the resettlement of Syrian refugees in partnership with local authorities in both counties. This role has included supporting families to apply for universal credit and set up bank accounts, registering with GPs and local schools in addition to integrating into their local community. Since the summer of 2021, we have taken on responsibility for the resettlement of Afghan families in both regions.
This role requires working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment to manage a caseload of participants' families, with a lot of travel across the county of Lincolnshire. Areas covered could including Sleaford, Bourne, Spalding, Skegness, Boston.

- At least 1 years’ experience of working directly with refugees (or vulnerable clients) in a support setting, providing advice, information, and guidance on a range of issues including benefits, housing, health services, education, and employment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the needs and experiences of asylum seekers refugees newly arrived in the UK.
- Experience of working with people from different cultures and backgrounds and an understanding of cultural diversity, equal opportunities.
- Knowledge and understanding of the roles that empowerment and independence play in the integration of refugees.
- Good spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate to participants and external agencies.
Desirable

About the Role
As HR Officer you will support the HR Manager in a busy HR function. You will play a vital part in ensuring a high-quality HR service and smooth running of the organisation, including overseeing the recruitment process and organising staff training. By focusing on the operational and administrative aspects of HR, you will help our creative, diverse community to thrive and to make a difference in the life of people living with brain injury.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact on all HR queries from the staff team, pass on complex HR issues to the HR Manager and manage the HR and recruitment email inbox.
- Work with the HR Manager to update or create HR policies and procedures following best practice and keeping up to date with current legislation.
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring all elements are completed efficiently and effectively. Headway’s recruitment procedure includes: placing adverts, receiving applications, arranging interviews, taking up references, maintaining the diversity monitoring information, processing DBS, liaising with managers to organise inductions, and ensuring the smooth transition of new starters.
- Laise with Line Managers to ensure smooth transitions for leavers, confirming last date, working out outstanding leave entitlement and arranging exit interviews.
- Work with the HR Manager on employee relation issues including disciplinary, capability, grievances, and absence management.
- Be responsible for the administration of Headway HRIS software and collate HR reports from this as and when needed by the Senior Management Team and the Board of Trustees.
- Work with the HR Manager to maintain and improve the staff training and development and ensure staff complete all mandatory and necessary trainings.
- Maintain accurate HR records and information such as job descriptions, staff absences, changes to contracts, work patterns ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR regulations.
- In the absence of the HR Manager work with the Finance Team to provide up to date payroll information to our payroll provider.
- Manage the administration of the pension, salary sacrifice, and staff benefit schemes.
- In conjunction with the Volunteer Co-ordinator provide administrative support in the recruitment process for volunteers, including taking up references, processing DBS and issuing agreements.

We are looking for a permanent Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. The team is vital to the Foundation’s ability to make an impact and improve health in Lambeth and Southwark. This role will be primarily responsible for Purchase ledger processing, filing and other administration. It will provide support to the Finance team in its mission to process and report financial information of the highest quality. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the Finance Department mailbox and in-tray, ensuring that all incoming items are addressed promptly and according to agreed processes and timescales.
- Accurately process all supplier invoices, ensuring correct invoice details, budget codes, and VAT codes are applied, in line with agreed timescales.
- Validate new supplier bank details and any changes to existing bank details according to established procedures.
- Respond to incoming queries related to the responsibilities of the role in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain static data in the finance systems, ensuring that remittance addresses, bank account details, and contacts are current and accurate.
- Assist the team with processing payment runs, ensuring all payments are handled efficiently.
- File all completed work in the appropriate files promptly. Archive all work in accordance with the department’s guidelines, maintaining files and archives in an organised and logical order.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary supporting documents as required.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance team.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Position: Kingston BuddyUp Coordinator
Location: From our office in Teddington, Richmond Upon Thames, London
Salary: pro rata of £25,500-£28,000 depending on experience, incl OLW
Hours: Part time, 21 hours per week, some flexibility on days/hours as the service can involve some evening work.

Richmond AID has successfully delivered the BuddyUp project in Richmond and Kingston for more than 10 years. We have established referral routes into the project and good links for attracting volunteers. This role is to work supporting young people in the borough of Kingston and you will work closely with our Richmond BuddyUp Coordinator.
BuddyUp Coordinator is a fun and exciting role at Richmond AID which requires someone who is motivated, creative and can work from their own initiative. The Buddy Up Coordinator will match disabled young people aged 14 to 17 to a volunteer buddy who will support them to access services and leisure opportunities. This post will be based in our offices in Teddington and will predominantly cover the borough of Richmond though at times you may also provide support in the borough of Kingston.
Your role is to recruit and train the volunteers, and then match them with a young person, providing ongoing support to young people and volunteers. You will work closely with our Kingston Buddy Coordinator running joint monthly group activities. So far trips have included bowling, cinema, crazy golf, shopping, days out in London, laser tag, boat trips, etc.
About you
You will be organised, and ideally have experience of running a project and experience of working with disabled people and/or young people. Training can be provided. You will have excellent communication and IT skills, administrative skills and be fully competent on Microsoft applications. You will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

What you will be doing
This role supports the delivery of our Individual Giving programme, specifically in support of our Puppy Sponsorship Scheme. The delivery of exceptional supporter care across multiple channels lies at the heart of the Supporter Services team and forms an integral part of the Individual Giving retention strategy. In many instances, you will be the first line of enquiry either by telephone, email, social media, or letter (and occasionally face-to-face) for Hearing Dogs’ supporters.
- Present a professional, positive, and proactive approach to supporter care and adherence to best practice regarding stewardship and supporter engagement.
- Be proactive in stewardship process improvement and development, maintaining up-to-date guidance notes for areas of your work.
- Ensure all interactions with supporters are logged in the CRM system and where appropriate passed on to the relevant team(s) in a timely manner.
- Use KPIs and SLAs to track, measure, and report on performance to ensure supporter care consistently meets our high standards.
- Process telephone, post and email enquiries/donations regarding and related to the Puppy Sponsorship Scheme, and ensure that all queries are responded to and resolved within recommended stewardship guidelines and timeframes for the team.
- Assist with maintenance of Puppy Sponsorship data on the Charity’s CRM to ensure supporter records are up-to-date and accurate, flagging any issues to the Supporter Services Manager.
- Prepare data for Puppy Sponsorship updates and build email communications.
- Assist with the production and cleaning of mailing files to support fundraising appeals, raffles, lotteries, and other products.
