In July 2023, we forced the Government to accept that its flagship Net Zero strategy is unlawful and to develop a better plan.

Our close-knit team of staff work across three core areas: campaigning, legal and operations. We are nimble and reactive to external events which means Good Law Project suits people who thrive in a fast-paced, at times quite pressured environment. You must share our passion for upholding democracy, protecting the environment and ensuring no one is left behind. Our culture is one of openness and innovation which encourages all staff to pitch ideas and influence the organisation’s direction. This is a 1 year fixed terms contract role.
This exciting pilot is a new approach to preventing rough sleeping, through the provision of accommodation with onsite specialist move-on support to those who are at immediate risk of sleeping rough. The service will provide a route and support for single homeless clients who are presenting to the Local Authority Housing Options or day centres and at imminent risk of rough sleeping, but not yet rough sleeping.

-
(K&C): medium – high support accommodation.
-
(Lambeth): medium support accommodation.

(Islington): Assessment hub space for up to 15 clients. Site will operate 24/7.
Each site will have staff delivering casework and support, providing each person with a comprehensive assessment of their needs and circumstances, and intensive specialist support to secure move on.
Onward accommodation offer will be tailored to a person’s individual circumstances, with a move on route identified based on what is suitable and attainable e.g. private rented sector accommodation, supported housing, Clearing House accommodation, reconnections in the UK or abroad and specialist accommodation for certain cohorts such as young people.
The service will work in partnership with the local authority to secure onward move-on options e.g. access the council PRS scheme, advocating for access to supported housing.

Our programmes and interventions are now present in 20 countries within the Commonwealth and beyond, across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe and the Middle East.
We are committed to amplifying the voices of young people on the global stage and putting their needs at the very heart of the design and delivery of our work. This complements global efforts to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those relating to quality education and decent work.
King’s Trust International (KTI) is committed to representing, at all levels, the global communities, and young people that we serve.
The Role
Harm towards children and young people is a global issue, and can include physical and emotional abuse, neglect and exploitation, sexual abuse and other forms of gender-based violence. We recognise that the impact of experiencing such harm has significant and long-term consequences that can create barriers to an individual reaching their full potential.
This is an exciting opportunity to support a global network of up to 40 partners in strengthening and developing their safeguarding practices and embed our global framework, supporting KTI and our partner organisations to meet institutional contractual requirements.
In this key role, you will lead and implement the safeguarding strategy, working closely with the Director of Delivery and Impact and with the Senior Leadership Team providing advice and updates regarding safeguarding and risk management to our Board, various committees, and teams. You will work closely across functions but particularly within the programmes team, supporting the safer programming of our young people across 20 countries via a network of in-country delivery partners. This year we are launching our Partner Portal which will include safeguarding training and development in addition to the partner training already provided, your knowledge will be crucial as you work closely with our Digital and Design and Impact teams in the development and implementation of this training.
About you
You will have extensive experience of supporting organisations to deliver safe and impactful programmes, having developed the systems process and frameworks to support this. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to adapt your communication style to diverse audiences both in the UK and internationally, with the ability to produce and deliver engaging and culturally relevant training. A team player, you will work well across teams with a proactive and solutions focused attitude. Strong written skills are key, and you will be confident in the production and writing of necessary reports for both senior colleagues, external stakeholders, and programmes teams.

- Flexible and agile working. Where operationally possible, you can work your hours that support a work-life balance including compressed hours and hybrid-working (part office - part home based) or working from home options.
- Benefits platform. Everything from health and financial wellbeing support to discounts on your favourite restaurants, shops and cinemas
- A free employee assistance programme (EAP) to support your mental wellbeing.
- PTI will contribute 5% of your salary to the workplace Pension Scheme
- Generous life assurance cover (4 x annual salary)
- In-house and external training opportunities available throughout the year
The King's Trust International is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As part of this commitment, we undertake basic disclosure checks (or international equivalents) in accordance with the Codes of Practice for all roles within Prince’s Trust International, and for our roles working directly with young people, at an enhanced level. Having a criminal record will not automatically exclude applicants.
In further support of a Safeguarding First approach we are signatories to the Misconduct Disclosure Scheme. The Scheme facilitates the sharing of misconduct data between employers. In line with this Scheme, we will request information from job applicants’ previous employers about any findings of sexual exploitation, sexual abuse and/or sexual harassment during employment, or incidents under investigation when the applicant left employment. By submitting an application, the job applicant confirms his/her/their understanding of these recruitment procedures.
We are committed to equitable work practices and believe in building a diverse organisation that is representative of and responsive to the needs of our young people and stakeholders. We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian, Mixed and other Ethnic candidates which are currently under-represented throughout Prince’s Trust International. Are you looking for an exciting opportunity and the chance to make a real and lasting difference for others? Join Kinship, Britain’s biggest charity supporting kinship carers.
Kinship carers are strong, capable and fiercely determined to ensure they get what they need to support their kinship family. And we want to support them to feel confident to do that.
Kinship is the leading kinship care charity in England and Wales. We support, campaign and raise awareness of kinship care and the issues affecting kinship carers every day.
Kinship care begins in crisis. A child whose parents are unable to care for them, for whatever reason. It’s frightening, confusing and heart-breaking. Instinctively, a loved one steps in – a grandparent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle or family friend. They are now a kinship carer, bringing up the children they love. It’s life changing and challenging raising children who’ve been hurt or neglected, but kinship carers do it anyway because they put the children first.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced and committed Business Development Manager to join our growing charity. Responsible for winning new business and retaining existing contracts to achieve financial and growth targets, this is a pivotal role at Kinship. If you are self-motivated, have experience of producing high quality, successful bids, can think strategically, and love to work collaboratively across teams, we want to hear from you.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Lead on all commissioning activity at Kinship directly with commissioners and through tendering activity.
-
Lead and support the creation of high-quality bids including writing technical questions and method statements.
-
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of Kinship, the external environment, and kinship carers and integrate this knowledge into business development activity and bid production.
Essential requirements include:
-
Experience of successful bid production and bid management – from identification of opportunity through to submission. Track record in successful tendering for retention of contracts and new business.
-
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Able to articulate and translate complex ideas and service delivery models into compelling, structured, and high-quality written propositions.
-
Ability to analyse large volumes of information to develop clear and compelling bids and proposals.
Key dates:
-
Application deadline: 5pm on Thursday 30 May
-
Interview date: Thursday 13 June (in-person, London)
Kinship are an equal opportunities employer. We warmly welcome applications from appropriately qualified people from all sections of the community and aim to promote diversity.
