What we want from you

We're on the lookout for a Data Insight Analyst who's ready to dive deep into the world of data-driven decision-making.

If you're someone who gets a kick out of using data to tackle real-world challenges and shape organisational strategy, then you might just be the perfect fit for our team. You'll need to be comfortable working with large datasets, flexing your data mining and customer profiling muscles.

Experience-wise, we're looking for someone who's no stranger to analytics software like Tableau, Faststats, or similar tools. When it comes to databases, you should be fluent in SQL and have an ability to optimise the use of data from across various sources.

First-hand experience with CRM systems such as Raiser’s Edge would be advantageous, especially in the charity sector, and if you're curious about data science or even have experience in this area, even better.

Apart from excellent analytical skills, you’ll have an inquisitive mind and love solving problems. We are looking for a strong communicator, confident at delivering your analysis outcomes whether that’s to a room of colleagues or chatting with stakeholders, your ability to convey complex insights in a clear and compelling way will be highly valued.

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting the British Association of Art Therapists in their search for an Executive Assistant, helping the CEO embed developments and improvements across the organisation.

This is a role offered on an initial 6-month, with a view to making the role permanent, on a part-time (3days a week) basis, based in London (hybrid)

The British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) is a national professional body that works to promote art therapy and raise professional standards in the UK. They work to promote a better understanding of the benefits Art Therapy can have for people’s wellbeing and mental health across all communities.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the new Executive Assistant will provide support to the CEO to help plan their workload and operate more effectively. The postholder will help to establish and develop the EA role, facilitating the setup of efficient processes and systems. As part of our fund management programmes, THET will be conducting a variety of international visits and events in the next 11 months. We require a consultant to lead the administration of the logistics involved in this work.

Assignment overview and scheduling

The consultant will provide logistical support across three main categories:

1. Scoping assessments in four sub-Saharan African countries, namely Ethiopia, Malawi, Somaliland and Zimbabwe
   1. A scoping assessment is a week-long series of in-person meetings with Ministry of Health and other relevant government sector representatives, subnational health agencies and government authorities, regulatory bodies, training institutions, FCDO, UK DHSC, WHO local offices.
   2. Each visit will likely involve up to 3 staff travelling from the UK to the country
   3. The consultant will be responsible for organising their travel rather than the scoping assessment meetings.
2. Delegation visit from Zimbabwe to UK
   1. A week-long visit of up to 7 Ministry of Health representatives and other national stakeholders to the UK
   2. The consultant will be responsible for organising their travel and some of the meetings while in-country.
3. Programme launch events in Ethiopia, Malawi, Somaliland and Zimbabwe
   1. A one-day long event in each country, with between 40-80 attendees
   2. Each event will likely see 2-3 staff travelling from the UK to the country. The consultant will be required to organise their travel and venue booking.

Knowledge, Skills and Expertise required

To successfully undertake this assignment, the Consultant should meet the following minimum requirements:

• International travel logistics experience, ideally in sub-Saharan Africa
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Budget preparation and tracking
• Proven organisational and administrative skills, with sound IT skills (Word and Excel)
• Flexibility and adaptability working within a small organisation
• Ability to work independently and take the initiative

The contract is for 40 days over eleven months. The Consultant will receive a daily rate of £180, which totals to £7,200 for the whole programme. The consultant will invoice THET on a monthly basis. Please note that this is non-negotiable and will cover all expenses apart from project-related travel and communication expenses. Where reasonable travel and communications expenses are incurred, the Consultant will be remunerated following submission of timely and accurate receipts.

Receipts must be kept, where possible, in order to claim for support costs. Consultants will not be expected to use their own funds to cover project-related costs.

Fairtrade Foundation We are recruiting for a Sustainable Sourcing Lead at the Fairtrade Foundation. This role is a new senior technical role to deliver and implement new and innovative solutions across Fairtrade supply chains. 

This role will be leading the supply chain development for a pioneering Fairtrade strategic initiative which is supporting UK grocery retailers to collaborate on sustainability in supply chains. This role will have a focus on two key commodities; cocoa and coffee and will be responsible for a team developing & implementing sustainable supply chain strategies for key identified commodities. AAUK are seeking a dedicated  Supporter Communications Mailing Officer to support  The Child Sponsorship Communication Programme team's operations. 

This team is responsible for the safeguarding, checking and despatching of over 100,000 child messages, transfer packs and photo updates annually to supporters.  The team will be in receipt of physical child drawings, letters and photos from ActionAid’s operating countries, quality checking for authenticity and importantly, identifying and reporting any child safeguarding issues. The team is responsible for the final matching and despatching of the communications to supporters within the agreed communication timeframe. The team are also involved in the safeguarding and logging of correspondence from child sponsors back to the children who are sponsored. 

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be asked to participate in criminal records checks at the point of offer.

• Hybrid working: Linked to our Ewell (Surrey) office with home working and the option to work from our London office in EC3R

This is a varied role that will suit someone with a strong digital knowledge and experience, who takes a creative, collaborative and entrepreneurial approach to their work. Experience of programme and/ or project management, strong attention to detail and the ability to build relationships and motivate others in a busy and challenging environment will also be an advantage.

About the National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA)                       

The NSPA network has grown significantly since 2020. The number of organisations working with us has almost doubled and individual membership has increased four-fold. Whilst those running suicide prevention programmes are a significant proportion of our membership, a growing number are those whose core business is not suicide prevention but who recognise the need to take action and are seeking support to do so. 

There are more organisations than ever working to prevent suicide and it can be difficult to navigate the wealth of information available and connect with organisations that may be undertaking similar/ relevant work. Some may be unaware of or find it difficult to access evidence around what works, what is already happening and what can be built upon.

Make a real difference in the lives of those affected by suicide, all whilst working in a supportive and inclusive environment. As our NSPA Content & Engagement Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading our efforts to drive meaningful change to help prevent suicide.

Your Role

You’ll lead the development and delivery of a suicide prevention community engagement strategy and plan, including an online hub and ambassador initiative to support capacity building in suicide prevention across England. You will: 

• Develop a more strategic approach to our engagement with members 

• Support the next step in the development of our network by building an online community hub, to support on-going knowledge-sharing, community connection and depth of engagement with our wide range of members. 

• Have the opportunity to build and manage relationships with NSPA members, people with lived experience and other key stakeholders.

• Manage the NSPA’s communications, working closely with the Membership & Communications Officers with strategic input from the Executive Lead.

Emotional Resilience

In this role you may be exposed to detailed information and personal stories of suicide, which may be upsetting. We will discuss this with you at interview stage however this role does require a good level of emotional resilience. Support is in place both from the organisation and within the team.
