Key responsbilities
- Be responsible for the development and management of the Chief Operations Officer Senior Leadership Training (COO SLT) - an innovative training programme for 10 Black young people to achieve the skills required to thrive in positions of senior leadership
- Be directly responsible for the management of the annual Cultural Leaders programme - a 12 month employment programme for 5 Black young people each year, working across different areas of Poetic Unity and with partners across the sector to develop transferable skills.
- Design, implement and manage The Blueprint - a national framework of best practice for the employment of Black young people in creative organisations
- Ensure all Employment programmes are effectively meeting the needs of the target demographic and are aligned with Poetic Unity’s strategic Vision

Person specification

The Role
Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the development and delivery of an organisation-wide fundraising strategy and annual plan, with responsibility for agreed income targets. About You
You will be an experienced fundraiser with a strong track record of delivering fundraising growth, including responsibility for generating six-figure annual income. You will bring demonstrable success in donor stewardship and in developing income through corporate partnerships, community fundraising, individual giving, campaigns or events.
You will be a confident relationship-builder who can influence and engage others, manage competing priorities and maintain a clear focus on results. You will also be comfortable using a fundraising CRM and performance data to improve supporter relationships, monitor progress and inform decisions.

About the role

We are now seeking an exceptional Chief Executiveto lead the organisation into its next phase of impact.

With responsibility for strategy, operations, partnerships and fundraising, the CEO will work closely with the Board of Trustees and Senior Leadership Team to scale impact, deepen employer and funder relationships, and ensure the organisation continues to deliver high-quality, life-changing support.
