This role is key to our new partnership programme influencing practice and policy on climate resilience and emergency preparedness at local and national levels. It presents a fantastic opportunity to effect real change in how our government responds to the needs of people most affected by climate change.

We are looking for someone who can be a bridge between the statutory and voluntary resilience communities and equality groups. You’ll have a thorough understanding of emergency preparedness and response systems, and a commitment to transform how they operate for the benefit of everyone, by working collaboratively with a rights based approach.

About the programme:

Hosted and supported by Equally Ours, this role exists as part of an innovative, collaborative team that brings together five roles from three different organisations: Equally Ours, Communities Prepared (Groundwork South) and the VCS Emergencies Partnership (VCSEP). This brand new programme has received £2,052,488.00 over five years from the Climate Action Fund, a long-term commitment from The National Lottery Community Fund to support communities across the UK to act on climate change and involve more people in positive environmental action.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Programme Leadership

• Lead Equally Ours’ contribution to the programme. Shaping and delivering the programme’s policy, influencing and systems change objectives.
• Work closely with programme partners Communities Prepared (Groundwork South) and the VCS Emergencies Partnership (VCSEP) to ensure joined-up co-design and delivery across community engagement, resilience training, strategic communications and influencing activity.
• Facilitate and enable the co-design process and provide a pan-equality analysis on thought leadership.
• Lead for the programme on liaison and knowledge exchange with initiatives in the devolved nations.

Policy Influencing

• Drive systems change: Support efforts to redesign climate resilience policy and practice at local, regional and national levels, ensuring it better reflects the needs and rights, experiences and expertise of communities experiencing discrimination and disadvantage.
• Build strategic relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with equality organisations, government departments, voluntary and statutory sector partners and resilience stakeholders.
• Support influencing activity: Coordinate and contribute to consultations, policy submissions, roundtables, events and stakeholder engagement opportunities that strengthen the programme’s influence and impact.
• Promote a rights-based approach: Champion intersectional, pan-equality and human rights based approaches across climate resilience policy, practice and partnership working. 

Person Specification (Essential Skills and Experience):

1. Demonstrable experience or understanding of statutory and voluntary sector duties and action on climate resilience in relation to extreme weather event preparedness and response.
2. Policy and influencing experience: Demonstrable experience of creating policy or practice change, ideally linked to equality, social justice, climate resilience or related areas.
3. Partnership and stakeholder engagement: Experience of building positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including community organisations, networks, public bodies or voluntary sector partners.
4. Community engagement: Experience of engaging with communities experiencing discrimination and disadvantage in meaningful, inclusive and accessible ways.
5. Understanding of equality and human rights: Professional or lived experience combined with a strong understanding of equality, intersectionality and human rights principles, and the ability to apply them in practice. 
6. Communication and collaboration skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and facilitate confidently with a range of audiences and work collaboratively as part of a partnership programme.
7. Organisation and programme coordination: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate activity and work effectively across multiple projects and stakeholders.

Antenatal Family Support Coordinator

Do you have midwifery experience, antenatal education experience or professional knowledge of pregnancy, birth preparation and early parenthood?

We are looking for a Family Support Coordinator to support families from pregnancy through the early years.

The Role

You will deliver the core support offer, including home visiting, 1:1 support, group work and volunteer-supported family support. You will also lead delivery of the Bump antenatal programme, helping expectant parents prepare for birth, early parenthood and the transition to family life.

In this role, you will:

• Support families during pregnancy, early parenthood and the early years
• Provide practical, emotional and educational support to expectant parents
• Help parents prepare for birth, baby care and the transition to parenthood

About You

We are looking for someone who understands pregnancy, birth preparation, early parenthood and the emotional realities of becoming a parent.

You may have worked as a midwife, maternity support worker, antenatal educator, early year’s practitioner, family support worker, health-related practitioner, or in another relevant role supporting families during pregnancy and the early years.

You will bring:

• Experience or strong knowledge of antenatal support, pregnancy and early parenthood
• Confidence delivering group sessions or antenatal education
• Good understanding of early attachment, infant development and postnatal adjustment
• Awareness of perinatal mental health and the impact of trauma, stress and isolation
• Experience supporting families during pregnancy, birth preparation or early parenthood
• Experience delivering group-based support, education or facilitation

This is a non-clinical family support role. You will not provide medical advice, diagnosis, clinical maternity care or infant feeding clinical support. Our Family Support Programme

We launched our Family Support Programme in September 2025, initially as a three year pilot working with families across Wandsworth, with aims to be able to expand and continue the service beyond this. About the role

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our new Family Support Service, supporting families initially across our partner schools in Wandsworth (with the aim of expanding the service beyond this over time).

This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative early help service from the outset, working within a small, dynamic team to make a tangible difference to the lives of children and their families. As a Family Support Worker, you will deliver flexible, hands-on, and therapeutically minded support to families facing multiple and complex challenges.

You will build trusted relationships through home visits, school meetings, and practical support - empowering parents and carers to strengthen routines, manage behaviour, improve attendance, and access services. Your role will be guided by detailed needs assessments and focused on achieving meaningful outcomes with each family.

The Role

FareShare Midlands is delighted to be working in partnership with Pepsico in order to deliver a range of community based workshops that will provide advice and information around key areas of physical and mental wellbeing, financial resilience and employability skills to clients who use the services of our Community Food Members along with the provision of 121 sessions for individuals who require additional and tailored support.

Key Responsibilities

As the Administrator, you will work closely with the Employability Coach and be responsible for:

• Identifying and engaging with our existing and new Community Food Members to promote the programme

You will guide and empower service users to engage with community services, while also offering day‑to‑day leadership to Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers and volunteers, ensuring consistent, high‑quality practice. Acting as shift lead when required, you will make informed, real‑time decisions to maintain safe and effective service delivery. A key part of the role involves supporting student placements, contributing to learning plans and offering reflective supervision. You will work closely with the Service Manager and Area Manager to monitor performance, contribute to audits and quality reviews, and drive ongoing service development. You will also play an active role in recruitment, onboarding and volunteer integration, and represent the service in partnership forums, strengthening pathways with local crisis teams and community organisations to ensure continuity of care and smooth transitions for service users.

Reporting directly to the CEO, with close engagement with the Chair and wider Executive Team, the Public Affairs Officer will lead the organisation’s public affairs and policy activity. In this role you will take ownership of a busy caseload of 50–100 supported accommodation units, ensuring residents are safe, engaged, and set up to succeed. You'll lead on all aspects of tenancy management, from onboarding and exit meetings to embedding a Psychologically Informed Environment approach. All while maintaining accurate, GDPR‑compliant records and delivering strong financial performance. With a proactive focus on arrears management, income collection, and benefits guidance, you'll help residents navigate housing systems and sustain their tenancies. You'll also coordinate timely repairs, monitor property standards, and keep communication flowing between residents, support teams, and contractors. Exceptional communication, numeracy, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to build trust, work sensitively with service users, and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders. Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes across a number of prisons. To ensure the continuation of our programmes during times of staff absence, we are now seeking to recruit a Prison Facilitator on a bank working basis to work across the South Central (HMP Bullingdon and HMP Aylesbury). Working closely with prisons and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will support with the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme in the area, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

You will have experience working within prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships quickly and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. You will also have a willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice, to provide short or long term cover within the prisons in this area.

This role will be prison-based. This is a bank role and so the number of days to be worked will vary and are not guaranteed. The Organisation

Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations. As we believe in the social model of disability, our values and principles embrace inclusive and accessible ways of working both internally and in all our activities, seek the participation and contribution of our members, and encourage and respect diversity.

The organisation is a medium sized charity with a Board of Trustees (at least 75% is disabled trustees), 20 staff and a strong ad hoc staff and volunteer base including many with direct experience of disability – all of whom are passionate about removing the barriers that disabled people face.

AoD provides five key services. These are: Youth, Employment, Welfare Benefits, Independent Living and Our Place.

AoD’s Independent Living Service

The Independent Living Service (Direct Payments) is a new service that will provide support to Direct Payment users within the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The service will enable disabled people to have genuine choice and control over the way in which they lead their lives.The post-holder will be working alongside disabled people to enable them to have more choice and control over their care and support needs.

Purpose of Post

To work with individuals, their family and friends (where appropriate) to provide them with information, advice and assistance to enable them to access and manage a Direct Payment

(DP) and recruit and manage a Personal Assistant (PA).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Support to individuals employing their own Personal (care) Assistant (PA) or engage an agency to deliver care and support.

1. Provide information and advice on becoming an employer and the role of the Personal Assistant.

2. Ensure that the client understands their legal obligations and responsibilities of being an employer.

3. Work with clients to: set up a profile on the Find-a-pa website, advertise and recruit a Personal Assistant, create a personalised job description and specification identify the level of experience and training requirements needed for the role.

4. Advise and help to calculate the PA’s salary and on costs (full training provided).

5. Support the client through the interview process and where necessary sit in during interviews.

6. Support individuals to reference, check legal status and where necessary DBS their support worker.

7. Support individuals to set up an induction plan for their PA and enable them to identify training needs.

8. Support the client to complete payroll and insurance documentation.

9. Work with the client to draw up a Statement of Particular (contract) for the employed PA (templates provided).

10.  Encourage DP employers to take a lead in all employment issues. Information on where to seek advice e.g. ACAS, Fish and Premier Care helpline will be given and clients will be encouraged to use them.

11.  Ensure that the individual has a back-up plan for emergencies.

12.  Encourage DP employers to be assertive and proactive with their Personal Assistants.

13.  Work with agencies to set up support for clients who may not wish to employ a PA directly.

Ongoing support to individuals in receipt of Direct Payments

1.Providing advice on employment issues.

2. Support individuals to solve practical problems e.g. lateness of staff, change of needs.

3. Support individuals to recruit again if necessary.

4. Assist individuals to re-look at budgets, training and job descriptions as they change over time.

5. Assist individuals to ensure that they continue to manage their Direct Payment or budget.

6. Support individuals to make informed choices.

7. Meet with the DP Support Group on a regular basis.

8. Assist in the development of training and other resources to support employers to manage their DP and their PA relationships.

9. Develop links and professional relationships with Social Work teams to support a healthy level of referrals.

For all work:

• Work in a person-centred way.
• Comply with AoD’s agreed policies and procedures.
• Participate in the wider development of the service and contribute to service improvement as required.
• Be computer literate and administratively self-supporting.
