About the role
We’re looking for a London Marathon Officer to join Young Lives vs Cancer and help deliver an exceptional experience for Team Young Lives vs Cancer runners, supporters and volunteers at the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon.
This is an unprecedented, one-off event year and one of our biggest fundraising opportunities – so we’re looking for someone who’s ready to play a hands-on role in making it a huge success.
This fixed-term role sits in our Sports and Challenge Events team, working closely with the Sports and Challenge Events Portfolio Manager to steward our marathon fundraisers, build strong supporter relationships and keep our communities motivated across email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, post and social channels.
You’ll also support event delivery, including registration and training systems, fundraising materials, income checks, volunteer coordination and race-week logistics. We’re looking for someone organised, proactive and confident juggling priorities in a busy events environment.
You’ll need to be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends, with additional office attendance in Bristol and London ahead of the event and availability during London Marathon week in April 2027 (20th to 25th April).

This is a new role within the Individual Giving team, supporting our ambition to grow and develop unrestricted income. We are seeking a Celebrity Ambassador Manager (0.5 FTE) to join our Fundraising Communications and Engagement team in the Development and Communication directorate. They will be responsible for recruiting and stewarding celebrities and influencers as ambassadors for the ICR to support our fundraising, communications and advocacy work.
The successful candidate will play a key role in our fundraising, communications and advocacy work. The postholder will develop the ICR’s ambassador strategy. The Celebrity Ambassador Manager will work across our fundraising teams, in conjunction with communications colleagues, to support philanthropic, corporate and mass fundraising. They will work to build high-profile support for the ICR.

Race Against Dementia is a global charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to find preventions, treatments and cures for dementia – faster.
We fund and support pioneering early-career scientists around the world, giving them the tools, mentoring and Formula 1-inspired mindset to accelerate breakthroughs. From the UK to the USA, Australia to South Africa, our researchers are rethinking how dementia research is done – applying data science, AI and engineering to neuroscience in bold, collaborative ways.
Purpose of the role
The Supporter Engagement Officer plays a key role in making sure everyone who supports Race Against Dementia has a positive and rewarding experience. They will manage day-to-day supporter communications, maintain our supporter database, and build strong relationships with donors, fundraisers and volunteers around the world. We are seeking an experienced philanthropy leader with a strong understanding of US giving to grow major donor income and lead an international Development Team.
Position: Global Head of Philanthropy
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: Home-based, with frequent travel to London and the United States
