Primary Responsibilities
Salesforce Platform Management
· Day to day management of the Back Up Trust Salesforce system
· Implement and enforce data quality standards within Salesforce, including regular data cleansing, deduplication, and validation procedures to ensure the accuracy of information
· Create and manage flows and approval processes within Salesforce to automate business processes and increase operational efficiency
· Ensure security and compliance by continuously monitoring and managing user profiles, roles, and permissions
· Maintain comprehensive documentation of Salesforce configurations, data models, and integration processes.
· Work with various Salesforce applications (for example FormAssembly) to enhance Salesforce capabilities
· Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging Salesforce technologies, making recommendations for their adoption when appropriate
User Training, Support & Adoption
· Create and maintain user guides, training materials, process documentation, and knowledge resources
· Lead onboarding and refresher training sessions for new and existing staff
· Provide ongoing user support and troubleshooting to promote confidence and effective system use
· Identify gaps in user knowledge and recommend targeted training or process improvements

Supplier & Project Management
· Coordinate system enhancements, testing, and deployments with Back-Up’s third-party Salesforce partner
· Support project delivery for future Salesforce developments and integrations
Data Protection Officer (DPO) Responsibilities
In addition to Salesforce and systems responsibilities, the postholder will act as Back Up's designated Data Protection Officer (DPO), providing leadership and oversight of data protection compliance across the organisation.
Additional Responsibilities
In addition to Salesforce platform management, the postholder will play a key role in supporting the organisation's wider data, systems and digital transformation agenda. Responsibilities may include:
· Support the development and implementation of Back Up's wider systems and technology strategy, ensuring Salesforce integrates effectively with the broader technology landscape.
· Act as a subject matter expert on organisational data and systems architecture, helping to identify opportunities for system improvement, integration and automation.
· Support the evaluation, implementation and ongoing management of business applications beyond Salesforce, ensuring systems remain fit for purpose and aligned with organisational needs.
· Contribute to digital transformation projects, working with colleagues and external partners to improve processes, efficiency and user experience across the organisation.
· Monitor emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), and make recommendations on their appropriate and responsible adoption to support organisational objectives.
· Provide support and guidance on IT-related matters, liaising with external suppliers and managed service providers where appropriate.

You’ll be the System Administrator for our new NPC environment and will work on clearing the pots-implementation backlog, working with teams across the organisation to maximise the potential of our growing Salesforce portfolio. What you'll do
Bringing best practice to everything you do, you’ll provide the administrative functions across our Salesforce suite including: user maintenance, org maintenance, dashboards and reports, basic system architecture, object management, flows and other configurations, advanced platform automation.
Provide administrative support and maintenance for the FinDock application, including ensuring data accuracy, proper record management and seamless financial integration with the wider Salesforce environment.
Manage our Salesforce NPC org, running the audits and release cycles. Working collaboratively with stakeholders to define and document development requirements, and prioritise the backlog.
Continuously improving our products you’ll provide guidance and support with evaluation, scoping, configuration, testing and release management.

About the role
As our Marketing Cloud Operations Specialist, you will be the operational technical expert of our supporter engagement. This is a pivotal role within our Salesforce Team ensuring that our Marketing Cloud Engagement (SFMCE) platform is robust, compliant and ready to deliver life-changing impact.
You will manage the day-to-day business as usual operations—translating fundraising/event strategies into sophisticated technical journeys that keep our supporters and supported audiences at the very centre of our mission.
What you’ll do
Act as the primary administrator for Salesforce Marketing Cloud;manage business units, user permissions,security settings, and licence consumption to ensure an efficient environment.
Define and own the Platform Roadmap, establish comprehensive SFMC documentation, and safely execute the SFMC Change roll-out
Lead the technical setup, testing, execution, and amendment of donor retention, acquisition, and emergency appeal journeys within Journey Builder.
Develop responsive, dynamic templates in Content Builder and Cloud Pages using HTML/CSS and AMPscript for deep personalization; lead the IP warming and deliverability strategy
Oversee Single Send Emails and lead Email Template creation and amendments. Resolve all single send and journeys Email issues.
What you’ll bring
Certified Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or equivalent experience. A solid track record in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement with hands-on ability to navigate the platform is key
Strong understanding of marketing automation concepts, best practices/guardrails/adherence to governance
Proficiency in data management/architecture scalability/automation and integration within Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement. Exposure to Data 360 - segmentation/hyper personalisation and activation
Experience with Advanced SQL, HTML/CSS, SSJS, AMPscript and AMP for email to create highly dynamic content.
Hands-on experience with CloudPages, Data Extensions, Journey Builder, Contact Builder and Email Studio.

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Administrator to expand capacity and play a key role in the next phase of our organisation-wide Salesforce rollout. About you
