The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead its financial management and oversee the organisation's operational functions. This is a senior leadership role supporting the Trust's continued growth, financial resilience, and conservation mission. The position can be based remotely, with travel to the Isles of Scilly as needed.

The Role
Position: Finance Manager
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Homebased or Hybrid.
Travel: Occasional travel to the National Training Centre, in Leicestershire for managers meetings or staff engagement days.
Financial sustainability is essential to ensuring Canine Partners can continue to deliver life-changing support to our beneficiaries. You will play a key role in supporting this by overseeing all financial activities, reporting and providing analysis for the organisation whilst maintaining robust financial controls, driving continuous improvement and leading on the ongoing development of our financial systems. Working alongside the Finance Director, you will also support the development of the Finance team and help maximise the benefits of our newly implemented finance system.
What You'll Be Doing
- Working with budget holders and project leads as a business partner by providing the required tools, insights and analysis, you will provide them with easy-to-understand financial information, support planning and inform decision making.
- Manage the budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Maintain the financial data and records to reflect the needs of the charity.
- Analyse financial information and provide modelling and data analytics as requested to support decision making and planning.
- Be responsible for development and implementation of all finance systems, and their integration with the CRM database and other operational systems.
About You
- Qualified accountant (CIPFA/CIMA/FCA/ACA/ACCCA) with relevant senior financial experience in organisations with multiple income streams and/ or £3m+ in revenue.
- Methodical with an eye for detail.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Strong ICT skills, including database (Office 365, specifically excel).
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
