You will oversee budget management, financial reporting, grant payment processes, and fraud prevention measures, ensuring that every pound is spent in line with government and contractual requirements.

One role focuses on maintaining and supporting our successful, established service in West Yorkshire.
The second offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in the growth and development of our vital service as we expand into the East Riding.
As our ideal candidate you will be happy to travel in and around Yorkshire, and be able to travel regularly to meet with the team and to conduct home visits across the region. You will also need to be able to attend our Leeds Warehouse, or other areas when required.
You will be someone who has good experience of the broad range of day-to-day case management, working with external partners, volunteer support, and administrative activities that working in a dynamic charity brings, and someone who enjoys the busyness and variety of this.
Alongside your family support and engagement-related skills and experience, we’ll be looking to see that you have a genuine care for our mission and, as such, are self-motivated to do a great job and be a values-led member of our team.
Ideally, you’ll have experience of working with vulnerable families and managing volunteers in the charity sector, due to some of the specialties that come with this, such as safeguarding and partnership working. But charity experience is not essential if you can demonstrate an appetite and track record for continual learning and development across your working life to date.

About the role
In this varied and impactful role, you’ll help connect BHF’s life saving research with the people who can share, support and champion it.
Through engaging internal activity, you’ll build knowledge and confidence across our teams, enabling colleagues and volunteers to talk about our research with clarity and impact. At the same time, you’ll source and shape compelling, accurate research stories for use across fundraising, marketing and communications.
Alongside this, you’ll support events and public engagement activity, working closely with researchers and colleagues across BHF to bring our research to life for a wide range of audiences.

Working arrangements
This is a fixed term contract until 30 July 2027 covering a secondment.
This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.
