Job Location: London (Hybrid)

Staff are expected to come into their base office once per week. Staff are also able to flex their start and finish times between the hours of 7am to 7pm daily. 

Our London office is based in The Foundry, a vibrant and eco-conscious workspace near Vauxhall and Oval stations. About the role:

The importance of this role is key as we rebalance our investment into digital channels to acquire new supporters. The person in this role needs to demonstrate hands-on digital expertise, measurable fundraising impact, strong analytical and project management skills, and compliance awareness. The predominant focus of the role will be investment in and growth of acquisition via digital channels but will also include acquisition via connected and addressable TV, and some offline channels – particularly to support acquisition in an emergency. This role focuses on planning, delivering, and evaluating fundraising activities (primarily, but not limited, to digital) that inspire donors, acquire new supporters, and maximise lifetime value.

About You: 

You are a creative, data-driven digital fundraising professional with a passion for delivering exceptional supporter experiences and growing income through engaging digital campaigns. With proven experience in digital fundraising or marketing, ideally within the charity sector, you have successfully delivered multi-channel campaigns across paid social, email, PPC, search and web, using compelling storytelling and audience insight to drive supporter acquisition, engagement and retention. Confident using CRM systems, fundraising platforms and analytics tools, you can translate performance data into actionable insights that improve results and maximise ROI. You are highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and compliance with GDPR and data protection best practice. A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, you enjoy working across teams to deliver integrated campaigns and are always looking for opportunities to test, learn and innovate. Experience with website management, conversion optimisation, marketing automation, or mentoring colleagues would be an advantage, but above all, you are motivated by using your digital expertise to build stronger supporter relationships and deliver meaningful impact.

London: £43,250- £48,055, based on full time hours (35 hours per week)

Senior Philanthropy Executive - Mid-Level Giving

Location: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Kinross or Balloch - hybrid working

Salary: £41,701 - £48,200 per annum (pro rata)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full time 35 hours per week

Are you a confident relationship-builder who can inspire people to make a meaningful difference for children and families across Scotland?

We are looking for a Senior Philanthropy Executive to join our Partnerships & Philanthropy team and help grow income from CHAS’s mid-level giving audience. This role will focus on building strong relationships with donors and prospects who typically give £1,500–£9,999 per year, while identifying new opportunities to grow supporter loyalty, increase giving, and develop major gift prospects.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys thoughtful relationship management by combining compelling communication and proactive donor development. You will manage and grow a portfolio of mid-level donors, create tailored stewardship plans, spot opportunities within our supporter base, and work across CHAS to help build a strong pipeline of future philanthropic support.

The role sits within CHAS’s Partnerships & Philanthropy team and will play an important part in supporting long-term income growth and sustainability for the charity. The post can be based at any central CHAS site, but this is a flexible role that will allow for ample home and remote work. Regular (weekly) travel to meetings and events will be required in this role with some locations not easily accessed via public transport. It would be beneficial if you have a full driving license and access to a car. There may be opportunities for occasional overnight travel, but this will be planned well in advance and with your consultation. 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a blend of fundraising experience, excellent relationship skills and the confidence to engage supporters in a warm, thoughtful and compelling way.

You will have:

• Experience of fundraising, including a track record of securing four and five figure gifts.
• Strong relationship-building skills, with experience of increasing supporters’ financial and non-financial commitment over time.
• The ability to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and donor communications that inspire people to support a cause.
• Confidence working across teams to develop strong pipelines, identify opportunities, and translate relationships into income.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
• The ability to communicate with warmth, clarity and influence — whether through writing, meetings, events, presentations or conversations with supporters.
• An understanding of data protection, GDPR and responsible supporter information management.

You do not need to have worked in children’s hospice care before, but you should be motivated by the opportunity to represent a global leader in children’s palliative care. Knowledge of hospice or paediatric palliative care would be helpful, but it is not essential.

The Refugee Council is a leading charity working with refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. Founded in 1951 following the creation of the UN Refugee Convention, they exist to support and empower people who have fled conflict, violence and persecution in order to rebuild their lives here in the UK. They work with over 14,000 women, men and children each year who are desperately seeking safety. 

The role is offered on a permanent full-time basis with a salary of £41,013 per annum with flexible hybrid working options between home and their Stratford office.  

The Senior Philanthropy Executive will secure sustainable, high value income from major donors (high net-worth individuals and family trusts) in support of the organisation’s strategic priorities and long-term financial sustainability. The role is accountable for building, converting and stewarding a strong pipeline of high value funding opportunities, translating organisational priorities into compelling, fundable propositions, and ensuring effective relationships with major donors.
