London Youth Choirs is seeking an experienced Trusts, Foundations and Impact Manager to lead a high-performing fundraising portfolio at a pivotal moment in our expansion. With trust income projected to rise this year and ambitious plans for the future, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to build lasting funder relationships, secure multi-year support, and elevate how we measure and communicate our impact for young people across London. You will be joining an energised team during an exciting new chapter, based at our vibrant residency in St John’s Waterloo on the South Bank.
Who we are
As we approach our 15th season, income from Trusts and Foundations is projected to reach £500,000 - representing almost half of London Youth Choir’s (LYC) total turnover. Far from a standard trust fundraising position, this is a pivotal leadership opportunity to shape our organisation’s future.
Over recent years, we have embedded a strong, data-led approach to measuring our impact. In this role, you will be central to that strategy, using data-driven insights to craft high-value, compelling proposals. Rather than operating in isolation, you will work at the very heart of LYC, playing an active and influential part in delivering our strategic vision and growth.
Looking ahead, LYC is planning a major celebration of youth choral singing at the Royal Albert Hall in March 2028. The fundraising team will focus on securing substantial backing for the event while ensuring all our supporters join us for the celebrations. The fundraising team will play a crucial role in bringing this flagship project to life.
About the role
As Trusts, Foundations and Impact Manager, you will lead a warm and successful portfolio of funders, developing compelling applications and delivering excellent stewardship. You will be expected to research, identify and engage new trust relationships over the year, delivering a high growth target. You will work closely with the Director of Fundraising to grow the relationships with trusts, with the aim of encouraging multi-year gifts. You will collaborate with colleagues across LYC to strengthen impact reporting. The role will be central to demonstrating LYC’s value to funders through robust data, powerful stories and high-quality reporting.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser with a strong track record of managing a sizeable income portfolio and writing persuasive, high-quality proposals. You will be an exceptional communicator who can combine data, strategy and the voices of young people into compelling cases for support. Confident in building relationships with funders and trustees, you will bring excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a small, collaborative team. An interest in impact measurement and enthusiasm for translating evidence into engaging donor-facing narratives will be important to success in this role.
