One of two Outreach and Project Workers pivotal to the delivery of an exciting new Women at Risk (WaR) project which will support women at risk of rough sleeping, homelessness and exploitation. Working across key areas of Enfield and Haringey you will, through a combination of nighttime outreach and daytime service provision, be critical to supporting a coordinated response across multiple agencies already engaged in this work.

You will undertake at least twice weekly nighttime outreach, support additional services and existing outreach provision and develop a daytime offer that meets the needs of women engaged through outreach and identified as at high risk of harm and homelessness.   

You will have responsibility for a caseload of women identified through outreach, referral and presentation at ours and other services. You will provide advocacy, casework support and connection and referral into other agencies which can help them address their needs.

The South London Service Delivery Executive will play a key role in both the South London Centre and the wider Service Delivery Team across London. Our volunteers make this possible, supporting our students to navigate challenges and have fun on the trips. We currently run 36 GADA trips a year but are only scratching the surface of demand. We are looking for someone to support the growth of this project to 65 trips a year.

Main responsibilities

• You’ll work with our students to co-design a programme of GADA trips, as well as sign up students and volunteers to the trips.

• You’ll recruit and train GADA volunteers and support them on trips.

• You’ll organise GADA trips, including risk assessing them, planning how to make them accessible, carrying out administration such as buying tickets, and providing volunteers with the information they need.

• You’ll provide broader volunteer support, helping to deliver inductions for new volunteers, including supporting with interviews, taster days and induction training.

• You will support volunteer check-ins and surveys for all volunteers, including those in non-GADA roles.

Volunteer Centre Hackney is a thriving charity (annual income circa £1.1m, with 29 paid staff) providing volunteering infrastructure to the voluntary sector across the City of London and the London borough of Hackney. We support over 1500 residents a year to realise their skills and passions through volunteering and social action, and to share these for the benefit of others. This is a hands-on and strategic role for an experienced fundraiser who thrives in a small to medium sized charity environment. You will have autonomy to develop a whole new fundraising strategy, utilising diverse fundraising methods, and building and developing new project ideas and partnerships. You will lead on income generation primarily through sourcing and applying to multiple trusts and foundations, but diversified by building new corporate partnerships, community campaigns and individual giving. You will build authentic relationships with funders and supporters, and together with VCH colleagues, will identify new programme models as ways to generate income. You will contribute to the development and production of compelling stories, evidence and marketing and build and maintain the infrastructure needed to track and achieve progress against annual income targets.

Post holders need to have excellent communication skills, to represent the charity in writing and in person. Experience we're after

• A nationally recognised youth work qualification or ability to demonstrate experience of frontline youth work delivery, understanding of contextual safeguarding and data protection is highly desirable.

• Experience of working with young volunteers and/or social action projects.

• Demonstrated experience in digital engagement and communications activities—especially creating content with young people.

• Experience of using digital platforms to engage networks and communities.

• Proven track record of project coordination, event management, or logistical planning within a youth or voluntary sector setting.

• Experience working in place-based contexts and understanding how to engage local communities and young people meaningfully.

• Lead on the development and implementation of an Outreach Strategy that inspires people and organisations, including policy makers, to take action for bumblebees. (Aim 2 of the Trust’s strategy)

• Proactively market volunteering programmes to BIG Alliance corporate partners.

• Source, place and manage cohorts of corporate volunteers in line with business plan and project targets.

• Develop effective working relationships with community affairs team with BIG Alliance corporate partners, ensuring that these companies are supported to develop employee volunteering and other initiatives that meet their targets, priorities and strategies.

• Implement effective evaluation and impact measurement tools in line with BIG Alliance corporate partner requirements, ensuring that evaluation informs best practise to ensure continuous improvement.

• Work on any projects with BIG Alliance, as and when required.

General

• Use BIG Alliance’s internal systems to maintain records and report progress, including due diligence and volunteer recording via Salesforce

• Ensure that effective project management systems for monitoring and evaluation are in place and keep detailed records.

• Proactively generate case studies, news articles, photos and social media content to promote the work of BIG Alliance in line with BIG Alliance communication targets and protocols.

• Collaborate with other BIG Alliance colleagues on projects where appropriate and contribute to the development of BIG Alliance/ELBA as an organisation overall.

• Adhere to and implement policies, including equal opportunities and health and safety.

Education Development Officer (part-time, Monday–Wednesday)

Hours: 21 hours per week (Monday–Wednesday). This role is offered as part of a job share, with the postholder working alongside an existing Education Development Officer who works 2 days per week.

About You

Do you have a proven track record of operationally managing the end-to-end delivery of education and training programmes from conception to execution and evaluation? If so, we’d love to hear from you?

You must be a motivated and proactive individual who is able to work with a range of stakeholders to deliver our organisation's PLD portfolio and growth initiatives. The role requires an individual with the drive to create, deliver and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of programmes that support the continuous professional development of healthcare professionals working in sexual and reproductive healthcare.

This post is part of a job share arrangement. You will work closely with the other Education Development Officer to ensure continuity, handover and shared ownership of the PLD portfolio. This will require strong communication, collaboration and planning to ensure seamless delivery across the week.

The Role

As the Education Development Officer (EDO), you’ll work closely with CoSRH staff, clinical subject matter experts, organisational partners and suppliers to help develop, design, build and maintain the delivery of high-quality education and training programmes and resources. Working as part of a small, dynamic team you will enjoy the pace of a varied portfolio of activities as well as offering excellent member and learner services.

• Deliver education programmes smoothly and consistently, with excellent learner experience
• Build trusted relationships with clinical and internal stakeholders
• Balance operational delivery with continuous improvement and innovation

You’ll….

• Work with a range of stakeholders to develop and maintain innovative learning programmes that include quality, relevant content that enhance CoSRH visibility and stakeholder engagement.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with a variety of suppliers including internal service suppliers (such as members support, marketing, business development, finance) as well as clinical and educational subject matter experts.
• Support the best user experiences for learners, candidates and trainers. This will include dealing with enquiries, the processing of application and member support tickets.
• Work with digital learning technologies, including database, learning management systems, mentoring platforms.
• Use data and other information to measure and report on performance to determine educational impact, stakeholder satisfaction and return on investment.

You will have:

• A degree level qualification or equivalent experience. 
• Experience within a busy professional learning and development function for a minimum of 3 years.
• A strong operational management approach with the ability to coordinate multiple complex programmes simultaneously.
• Experience in developing learning that is delivered in-person and through a variety of digital systems.
• The ability to work independently in a pressurised environment to successfully manage a busy workload as well as being a proactive, considerate team member.
• The ability to assimilate information effectively and to offer creativity and problem solving to mitigate risks and issues.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with a range of stakeholders with the ability to confidently report on their portfolio.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, in particular knowledge of Office 365
