This is an exciting time to join the Remembrance Events team, with the Festival of Remembrance just around the corner and a busy programme of commemorative events ahead. As Remembrance Events Administrator, you’ll be right at the heart of the team, providing the organisation and coordination that keeps large scale events running smoothly. From managing event information and accreditation to arranging travel, preparing correspondence and keeping on top of busy inboxes, you’ll have a varied role where there is always something happening.
Come and be part of the leading Armed Forces charity, making a difference to the lives of those who have served to keep us safe and protect our way of life.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being the person who keeps things moving. You’ll need to be organised, confident dealing with people and comfortable managing several priorities at once, often working to tight deadlines without losing sight of the detail. You’ll be dealing with public enquiries, supporting event accreditation, liaising with colleagues across The Royal British Legion and working with the contact centre, so being approachable, responsive and able to communicate clearly is just as important as being confident with systems, data entry, Word, Excel and Outlook.
This is a fixed-term opportunity until November 2027, giving you the chance to be involved in a full programme of Remembrance activity across the UK and, where required, Europe. You might be arranging travel one day, resolving an enquiry the next and helping prepare the administration behind a major event soon after. If you’re someone who likes a busy environment, takes pride in getting the detail right and wants a role where no two days are quite the same, we’d like to hear from you.
You will be contracted to our Haig House hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site.
Employee benefits include -
- 28 day’s paid holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing with service, with optional annual leave purchase scheme of up to 5 working days
- Enhanced paid maternity, paternity and adoption leave
- Generous pension scheme with employer contributions ranging from 6% to 14%, depending on length of service
- Range of flexible working options may be available, depending on your role
- Employee Assistance Programme providing confidential counselling, financial and legal advice
- Range of courses delivered by learning specialists to support your development goals and objectives
- Opportunities to volunteer
- Travel loans, Cycle to Work, and more!
For more detailed information about the role, please see the Job Description attached to our direct advert. Our teams take a personalised approach to shortlisting, which is carried out without the use of AI and is based on the evidence provided in your application against the essential and desirable criteria in the Person Specification.

However, candidates are only eligible for this scheme if their application clearly demonstrates that they meet all of the essential criteria listed in the Person Specification for the role.
Interview Dates: Between 1st to 9th September
We may close this vacancy early if we believe we have enough strong applications to be able to successfully fill the role(s). Interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
