As Youth Involvement Lead, you’ll be the key link between young people and the project. You’ll coordinate and support the Youth Action Board, helping young people shape decisions, manage budgets, and influence how services are delivered. You’ll facilitate engaging sessions, build trusted relationships, and ensure every young person feels heard, valued, and empowered.

Alongside this, you’ll mentor a small group of young people, supporting them to identify their goals and take steps towards employment, education, or training. You’ll also work closely with partners including Lewisham Council and Phoenix Community Housing, contributing youth insight to strengthen delivery and ensure services truly reflect local needs.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role for someone who is passionate about youth voice, confident facilitating groups, and committed to creating inclusive spaces where young people can grow and lead.

The Marketing & Communications Officer will play a key role in raising the profile of Artsreach. The General Manager will be the key person responsible for the day-to-day operations of the charity and the management of the network and its activities. You’ll work with people who are navigating multiple disadvantage – including mental and physical health challenges, substance use, and contact with the criminal justice system. Your role is to turn crisis into momentum. Through high-quality assessments, personalised move-on planning and creative problem-solving, you’ll support clients to secure safe, appropriate accommodation and take their next steps towards independence.

Resettlement is not just about finding a room. It’s about widening options, challenging barriers and advocating for people who may struggle to access housing on their own. You’ll build strong relationships with housing providers, the private rented sector and pathway services, navigating local connection rules and housing systems with confidence and persistence.

Your impact will be tangible. Every sustainable move-on frees up a bed for someone in crisis. Every successful tenancy reduces the risk of a return to rough sleeping. We are seeking a Community Employment Consultant to support people with convictions into employment by working with prisons, employers and community partners.

Position: Community Employment Consultant

About the organisation:

This is an Employment Consultancy role with a difference; you will be working for a unique, award-winning organisation that helps people that have served a prison sentence to re-enter the workplace by:

• Training serving prisoners as Peer Recruiters, who then provide a Candidate pipeline and work closely alongside the Community Team.
• Take employers into prison to interview Candidates. Some job offers are made there and then.
• Provide caseworker support to Candidates in the community with the primary aim of removing their barriers to work and supporting them into meaningful, sustainable employment.

About the role:

As a Community Employment Consultant, you will support the senior team and work alongside the prison peer-led team, helping Peer Recruiters in custody to identify and support Candidates.

Key responsibilities include:

• Build strong relationships with the relevant prison staff. (The prison you cover may well be in the East Midlands)
• Support the Head of West Midlands programme to engage employers and plan monthly interview days.
• Develop relationships with local and national employers and to promote the service and create employment opportunities for participants.
• Work with the team to develop and implement a strategy to identify and target local and national employers.
• Build relationships with local Probation offices and staff, DWP and Local Authority initiatives and Police & Crime Commissioner/Violence Reduction Unit and other relevant statutory and voluntary sector organisations.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records to monitor the effectiveness of the programme using our in-house portal (CRM system). Provide effective case management for participants, ensuring tailored and consistent support.

About you:

To be successful in the role of, you will need the following skills and experience:

• A full driving license and access to a car on (at least) a weekly basis.
• Be able and willing to work in Prisons and Youth Offender Institutions, this includes a vetting process which you will need to pass in order to be successful in the role.
• An empathetic and understanding approach when working with Candidates.
• A good understanding of the barriers faced by people with convictions in accessing employment.
• An interest in employment, the local labour market and Industry trends.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, including the ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Strong administration skills with IT (MS Office) and well organised.
• You will have strong writing skills and will be able to write good CV’s and Disclosure Letters.

Although not essential, experience of Recruitment or Case Management would be desirable.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Welsh language Coordinator to support early years, childcare and play work practitioners with Welsh language skills.  

Position: Welsh Language Coordinator

Location: Home Based, Travel will be required to undertake this role.

The Role

As Welsh Language Coordinator you will support early years, childcare and play work practitioners with Welsh language skills. Targets are agreed annually between the Welsh Government and charity partners. You will co-ordinate the charity’s Welsh language project, encourage Members to embark onto the online self-learning course, and provide ongoing support to practitioners on increasing their use of the Welsh language.

Main duties include supporting the wider organisation and our UK and international customers through:

• To establish and manage robust procedures and systems to support the co- ordination, delivery and monitoring of the Welsh Language project
• Identify settings and recruitment of practitioners for the delivery of training courses
• Promote the development of Welsh language skills by providing information on the online self-learning course, encouraging practitioners to sign up for the training
• Provide support to practitioners to ensure learning from the training is implemented in the workplace
• Development of resources to ensure training influences practice
• Delivery of live interaction sessions with practitioners and other partners
• Collection of data, monitoring and tracking the progress of participants
• Provide regular written reports identifying progress against targets
• Systematically gather and record sector intelligence and research
• Carry out visits within member settings in North Wales to identify settings which may want to transition to Bilingual or Welsh medium status.

About You

To be successful in the role you will need the following skills and experience:

• Effective communication skills - fluent in both English and Welsh
• Knowledge of the benefits and value of the Welsh language in the early years sector

About the Role:

The Head of People is a pivotal role at the heart of Julian House, shaping the organisation through its most important asset, its people. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll lead our people strategy, culture, and workforce development, ensuring we have the capability, capacity, and values‑led culture needed to deliver our mission.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and shape our People Strategy, ensuring it aligns with our organisational goals, values, and long‑term ambitions, and that our people are fully supported to deliver meaningful impact.
• Build leadership capability at every level, designing and embedding leadership and management development programmes that support confident, values‑led leadership across the organisation.
• Oversee recruitment, HR operations, volunteering, and people processes, working closely with the HR Manager and wider People Team to deliver high‑quality, responsive support.
• Champion robust, modern employment policies, ensuring they remain legally compliant, up to date with best practice, and reflective of Julian House’s values and culture.
• Coach and advise leaders, providing trusted guidance that builds confidence, strengthens people‑management skills, and supports teams to thrive in a demanding environment.

• Significant senior‑level experience in People / HR leadership, with a proven track record of overseeing employee relations, people operations, and leading cultural and organisational change.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practice and employment law, alongside experience in organisational development, workforce wellbeing, and using people data and insights to inform decision‑making.
• Strategic and forward‑thinking, with the ability to translate vision into practical, impactful actions that support teams and strengthen organisational performance.

About the Role

As an Advocate with us, you’ll support individuals in diverse circumstances to have their voices heard by health and social care professionals and other key stakeholders. Your work will help ensure people are empowered to make informed decisions about their lives and care.

The role involves travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes, and community settings. While some work can be completed from home, particularly administrative tasks, access to your own transport and a reliable home internet connection is essential.

As this is a newly funded project, the postholder will play a key role in shaping how SHOUT is delivered locally. This includes developing strong working relationships with schools, SEND teams, Transitions services and community partners, identifying unmet need, promoting the service, and contributing to the growth and sustainability of the project.

About You

We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds. Ideally, you’ll have some experience in advocacy or in providing support, or welfare services to adults or young people - particularly those with learning disabilities and/or autism, communication needs, mental ill health, physical health issues, or difficulties accessing support.

You may have worked or volunteered in health or social care, education, youth services, support services, or in advice and guidance roles. Above all, we’re looking for people who are passionate about making a difference and supporting others to be heard.

· You’ll act in line with relevant legislation (including the Children Act 2004, Working Together to Safeguarding Children, Keeping Children Safe in Education, Mental Capacity Act, Care Act, Human Rights Act and Equality Act 2010), and you’ll constructively challenge professionals and services to uphold their duties.

Experience and Knowledge

· Understanding of SEND processes, including EHCP reviews and transition planning.

· Experience of working or volunteering in health, social care, education, youth services, support services, or advice and guidance.

· Awareness of the importance of confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional boundaries.

· Knowledge of health and social care systems, and how to support people to access services.

Skills and Abilities

· Strong communication skills, including the ability to listen actively and adapt communication to meet individual needs.

· Ability to build trust and positive relationships with clients, professionals and partner agencies.

· Previous experience working as an Advocate or in a similar role supporting people to understand their rights and make decisions.

· Familiarity with relevant legislation (e.g. Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, Care Act, Human Rights Act).

· Experiencing facilitating or co-facilitating peer groups or community-based sessions.
