The Role of Director of Property

Effective management of clergy housing and glebe assets is critical to supporting mission and ministry across the Diocese which covers Coventry, Warwickshire and part of Solihull.

As we discern a new vision and strategy, we are seeking a leader who someone who can shape and deliver robust strategies for our clergy housing and glebe portfolios.

They will oversee 156 clergy houses valued at £18.6m and a glebe portfolio valued at c£34m, comprising commercial property, agricultural land, and farming tenancies.

Purpose of the role

Financial accountability: Keep accurate records and handle accompanying gift administration and recognition.

About you

• Experienced fundraising and donor development professional within the charity or cultural sectors, with a proven track record of securing five- and six-figure gifts from individuals, trusts, foundations, and institutional partners.
• Confident in developing compelling proposals and presentations that engage and inspire individual philanthropists.
• Experience working with fundraising databases and donor management systems.
• A proven track record in working with senior volunteers in a fundraising context.
• Knowledge of fundraising best practices and ethical considerations.

FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.  

As a RISE Advisor working on our RISE programme you will be a fundamental part of our team, supporting the delivery and the development of the service. The service provides a range of trauma-informed and person-centred one to one and group support to victims and those who have harmed aged 15 and above. We provided focused support to those impacted by Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence and Stalking to access education, training, employment or volunteering.

Key Responsibilities

Advice Giving

• Deliver a multi-channel advice service, including home visits, to clients regarding their energy needs and income maximisation support, ensuring advice provided meets the requirements of Citizens Advice quality standards.

• Ensure all case recording and other record keeping is completed within agreed timescales and conforms to the Office Manual and the Advice Quality Standards

• Use sensitive listening and questioning skills in order to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and to identify the next course of action.

About the Role

Our Day Care Centres – Great Croft (Kings Cross) and Henderson Court (Hampstead) – support older people with complex needs, including those living with dementia.

As a Day Care Officer you will:

• Support group activities such as arts, music, quizzes and gentle exercise

• Assist with personal care and mobility

• Support clients living with dementia using person-centred approaches

• Help with daily centre activities including serving meals and preparing activity spaces

• Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues

About You

We are looking for people who are:

• Friendly, caring and empathetic

• Good communicators who enjoy working with older people

• Patient, calm and supportive

No formal experience is required as full training will be provided.

Staff may occasionally be required to work across both centres, so the ability to travel to Kings Cross and Hampstead is essential.
