As a Project Worker within our Westminster Mental Health Accommodation Services or Wandsworth Properties, you’ll play a vital role in helping people find stability, confidence and a way forward. About Beyond Reflections

Beyond Reflections is a UK charity providing dedicated mental-wellbeing support to Trans+ people, as well as to their families,

friends, and allies. We offer a combination of group support, one-to-one services, and therapeutic interventions delivered by experienced case workers, counsellors, and therapists.

Our work spans both online and in-person settings, ensuring support is accessible, confidential, and rooted in compassion.

From facilitated support groups and tailored counselling to mentoring, safe social spaces, and specialist guidance, we aim to meet people where they are and provide the right help at the right time.

We play a wider role in strengthening inclusion across society. Our training and development programmes, which have been delivered to organisations such as the CPS, Hampshire Police, B&Q, and the University of Southampton, focus on Trans+ awareness, allyship, leadership coaching, conflict resolution, and policy development. All income from this work goes directly into our hardship fund, enabling us to support those who would otherwise be unable to access help.

Job Description

The Chief Executive will provide clear, compassionate, and forward-looking leadership that strengthens Beyond Reflections’ impact and ensures our services remain safe, accessible, and responsive to the needs of the Trans+ community. They will translate the Board’s vision into organisational strategy, oversee effective operations, and build a culture rooted in our values of respect, inclusion, and empowerment. They will be responsible for guiding the charity through a period of growth in response to increasing demand. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Organisational Development

● Lead the delivery of the charity’s strategic plan, ensuring the organisation remains responsive to the needs of the Trans+ community.

These roles lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of Xenia’s workshops and related projects, working closely with other delivery staff and the wider team. 

Both roles focus on leading delivery locally (in Sheffield you will be responsible for a new fortnightly session) while also being active members of Xenia’s non-hierarchical staff team. About Xenia

Xenia is a grassroots women’s organisation working to create more inclusive, equal, and welcoming communities. Founded in 2016, we bring together migrant, refugee, asylum-seeking, and UK-born women through weekly Saturday workshops focused on conversation, connection, and shared learning. Participants are at the heart of Xenia. Women come together as active equals to practise spoken English, reduce social isolation, build friendships across cultures, and access civic and democratic opportunities. Our workshops are shaped by participants and grounded in care, hospitality, and mutual support. Conversation is central to Xenia’s practice. We use dialogue not just as a tool for practising English, but as a feminist way of working — sharing power, building trust, and creating collective knowledge. This approach runs through workshops, our organisational decisions, and our planning for the future. We are a small, ambitious charity at an exciting stage, focused on strengthening participant-led practice, sharing methodologies with other women’s and migrant organisations, and building sustainable, values-aligned structures to support our work long-term.

About the role

Every community deserves a park they can be proud of. Not just one that exists on a map, but one that feels safe, welcoming and cared for.

This new role sits at the heart of Bristol’s Nature Together project and is all about redefining what park quality really means. Not from behind a desk, but by working directly with communities to understand what matters most to them and turning that into practical, achievable change.

You will work alongside residents, community groups and Bristol City Council to co-create a way to define clear quality measures for local parks and translate them into realistic management plans. These plans will shape improvements on the ground and feed into the development of a Bristol-wide Quality Park Standard that can be used across the city and beyond.

This is a genuinely new role.You will help build the approach, test it, learn as you go and bring people with you.

• Work with diverse communities to define what “quality” means for their local parks, making sure voices that are often excluded are actively included
• Design and facilitate workshops, surveys and conversations that help communities set priorities for their parks
• Work with Bristol City Council and local partners to turn those priorities into clear, deliverable management plans
• Build strong partnerships with council officers, community groups, volunteers and project partners
• Learn from similar work elsewhere and apply those insights locally
• Track progress against community-defined quality measures and share learning in accessible ways
• Support communities to build the skills, confidence and tools they need to keep shaping their parks beyond the life of the project

About you

Who are you?

In this role, you will work on some of the world’s most pressing issues - you will create and launch best in class digital campaigns that mobilise audiences across the world to make change.

We are looking for a digital and social expert, who has varied digital campaigning expertise: you will lead and implement paid and organic campaigns, analyse audience and insights data,, and co-develop multi-platform creative ideas.

Ideally, you will be someone with 3-5 years experience activating digital campaigns in a communications agency or inhouse. Key responsibilities

Campaign management/optimization

• Develop efficient and effective multi-channel digital campaigns, that integrate into wider strategies to help our clients change the world

• Developing and implementing paid media plans including forecasting, KPI setting and audience development for channels including: Google Ads, Linkedin, Meta, TikTok, Twitter/X and beyond.

Leading the Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement team, the Director will drive the design and implementation of the University’s inaugural comprehensive fundraising campaign, launching it at the culmination of our centenary celebrations in summer 2028. Building on progress made to date, the Director will leverage the centenary to elevate the roles of philanthropy and alumni engagement in support of the University’s future ambitions. 

Person specification: 
- Extensive knowledge of philanthropy, preferably within higher education, including fundraising best practice
- Extensive knowledge of alumni engagement and its role in building connections and supporting wider institutional priorities
- Demonstrable track record of building relationships and working with prospects to secure gifts at the six-figure level and above
- Experience of leading philanthropic campaigns and exceeding fundraising targets
- Experience of leading and managing teams carrying out philanthropic and/or engagement activities 
- Experience of strategic and data-driven operational planning and performance management

We are looking for people with the values and commitment to increase the independence, self-confidence and access to new opportunities for people with learning disabilities and enduring mental health support needs across our Supported Living Services in Kingston and Richmond. You will be supporting people to live within a support living setting including sleep-ins, to enable them to remain as independent as possible while receiving person centred care.

About you

You will need to be an active team player and be able to demonstrate how you’ve managed and motivated a team previously beyond expectations and experience of providing excellent customer service in a face-to-face role.

Have a good knowledge of recruiting and developing a diverse team and how you have supported and motivated teams to progress and how you would bring these skills into this position. You will also have experience of driving sales in a retail environment. 

You will need to have good communication skills to engage with the local community to seek out new opportunities to increase the shops contribution to help further Shelter’s cause. You will develop your own and your teams’ interests in merchandising the shop attracting customers and continually develop yours and your team’s knowledge of Shelter, who we are and what we do.
