ROLE PROFILE: Carers Service Manager - Herefordshire Carer Links
Responsible to: Director of Governance and Charitable Services
Responsible for: Operational team operating across Herefordshire
Location: Hybrid Home / Office Based – Fred Bulmer Centre, Hereford (minimum two days in the office)
Salary: £30,000
Hours of Work: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Key Purpose / WHY?
The Carers Services Manager will play a vital role in leading a team to assist unpaid carers to connect with their communities and access the support they need within Herefordshire. The role will support the Herefordshire team, who deliver the ‘what matters’ assessment to carers and provide bespoke, person-centered information, advice and guidance to people accessing our services. Support includes but is not limited to; one-to-one support, events and activities, as well as signposting and referring to relevant agencies for additional support helping people on their caring journey. The role will work alongside internal teams and external partners to create community connections, develop an outreach support program, linking people to community resources with a focus on preventing the need for escalation to statutory services.
Key accountabilities & responsibilities
1. Service Leadership and Delivery
· Oversee day to day delivery of our commissioned Information, Advice and Guidance service for unpaid Carers in Herefordshire
· Facilitate the application, review and distribution of small grants to unpaid carers across the region as required
· Monitor service quality and delivery and report monthly Key Performance Indicators and quarterly monitoring reports to Local Authority Commissioners. Ensure reporting demonstrates the scale, impact, and quality of our services.
· Meet with commissioners to review service performance quarterly
· Ensure the service is visible and accessible to carers from all communities
· Support carer self-identification and address barriers to engagement, including those faced by underrepresented groups of carers
· Help raise the profile and recognition of TuVida to assist with recruitment, service-user and partner engagement and financial sustainability by contributing to social media presence and the website
2. Service Development
· Work collaboratively with senior colleagues, identifying opportunities for sustainable growth, and working to execute commercial opportunities, including
supporting and/or leading on tendering,
· Bidding, and negotiating new business as well as business retention strategies and mobilisation of new business.
3. Team Management
· Lead and develop a team to deliver person-centered outcomes for unpaid carers across Herefordshire providing practical support and guidance as required
· Provide exemplary leadership and management for the team, including regular team meetings, 121’s and objective setting, caseload management, performance reviews and promoting professional development and well-being
· Create development plans for team members, identifying training needs and growth opportunities within the team and wider organisation
· Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and high-performance standards
· Delegate effectively while maintaining oversight of service quality and manager satisfaction
· Oversee recruitment and inductions of new staff
· Manage leave and staff absence
· Act as designated safeguarding lead for the team, maintaining hight standards of safeguarding practice. Support the team through the process of raising safeguards and following up on safeguarding concerns complying with internal and external agencies policies and procedures.
4. Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement
· Ensure the services work collaboratively with partners and community services, manage the delivery of a program of support and services that help improve the wellbeing of carers and which respond to their needs and aspirations.
· Lead on increasing the awareness of TuVida’s services in the county, including development of marketing materials, attending events, stakeholder meetings and increasing recognition of and support available for unpaid carers.
· Build and maintain effective relationships with local authority, health services, and other stakeholders and third sector organisations involved in supporting carers
· Represent the service at multi-agency meetings and network meetings
· Promote awareness of carer rights and needs within the community through talks and training

Purpose
The Living Wage Foundation has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Communications Officer. We are looking for an exceptionally motivated and organised individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-profile communications environment.
The role will support the objectives of the Living Wage Foundation and Citizens UK by communicating our work to a wide range of audiences, including senior business leaders and politicians, through a mix of communications methods: social media, newsletters, media outlets, website and internal communications channels. The role will be predominantly focused on work and wages activity through the Living Wage Foundation, but there will be opportunities to support cross-Citizens UK communications activity including for example: campaigns on housing, refugees and more.
This post will be joining a Communications team that spans media, digital communications, research and events, with colleagues based across the UK with monthly in-person team meetings.
The post holder will support the delivery of our media and press office activity, including monitoring media coverage, supporting with journalist enquiries, and helping to develop proactive press campaigns to build awareness of the Living Wage Foundation’s work. They will also support the creation of written and visual content across our channels and help monitor and manage our social media presence on a day-to-day basis. The role will work closely to support the Communications team’s work and help communicate the work of the wider-team and our employer network.
The role is also responsible for key communications with our network of over 16,000 accredited Living Wage Employers, including our monthly newsletters, blogs, videos and case studies to celebrate our network of accredited employers
The position would suit an applicant with strong written and communication skills, with some experience of working within a communications team and a passion for press work, social media and content creation.

Main Responsibilities
Working as a Communications Officer for the Living Wage Foundation, reporting to the Media Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
Media

Contribute to media strategies and plans that help to win public, business and political support for the Living Wage Foundation and its work

Write compelling press releases, blogs and opinion editorials to promote the Living Wage Foundation’s work

Support story gathering and storytelling development with workers, employers and others affected by low pay and insecure work, ensuring lived experience and employer voices are reflected effectively across media work and wider communications platforms

This new Programmes & Operations Coordinator role will act as the central operational lead for day-to-day delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Training and Development
- Collaborate with Learning and Development Lead and Practice Team to ensure training programs are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the needs of diverse communities.
- Use adult learning principles to design and deliver creative, innovative, and bespoke training solutions aligned with local demand, strategic priorities, and funding requirements.
- Will deliver training through online learning systems, including learning management systems (LMS), virtual training tools, and e-learning platforms.
- Develop and apply robust quality assurance and evaluation processes for all training activities. Collect feedback, analyse outcomes, and implement improvements where required.
- Deliver both internal and external training sessions across TLC subject areas.
- Coordinate and facilitate job specific inductions for new starters, ensuring all staff receive ongoing professional development in line with the TLC training plan.
- Apply coaching and training expertise to support internal staff development and wellbeing.
- Work alongside Learning and Development Lead and Practice Teams to manage the online learning system, maintaining accurate and up to date records of mandatory and CPD training.
- Identify, design, and implement appropriate training programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external training providers.
- Partner with the Head of Practice and Safeguarding, as well as the Marketing Team, to ensure clear and effective communication around all internal and external training programs.
2. Income Generation
- Support the Learning and Development Lead to collaborate with TLC’s Development Team to identify and apply for funding opportunities to expand and enhance training services.
- Following successful funding applications, plan, deliver, and monitor training programs in line with funding agreements and outcomes.
3. Quality Assurance
- Support the Head of Practice and Safeguarding, and the Learning and Development Lead, in maintaining high quality standards and compliance with accreditation frameworks.
- Contribute to achieving and maintaining accredited quality awards through ongoing monitoring, review, and implementation of quality action plans.
- Work with the Operations Team to collect and analyse customer feedback and reviews, using insights to support continuous improvement, funding applications, and marketing initiatives.
- Support the Learning and Development Lead in ensuring all policies, procedures, and training materials are in place to support staff, volunteers, and placements, including induction and ongoing learning.
4. Partnership and Community Engagement
- Represent TLC at partnership meetings and events to promote training and development services.
- Support the Marketing and Communications Team in promoting services, sharing information, and engaging the local community through social media and other communication channels.
- Actively contribute to raising the profile of TLC through collaboration, partnership working, and effective promotion of training opportunities.
General
Partake in evening and weekend work as required. Support the designated safeguarding lead to ensure all staff, volunteers, trustees and students at TLC understand that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Ensure adherence to policies mandatory training, reporting concerns, and compliance to protect children and adults at risk.

The Opportunity
As a key team member within our Partnerships and Income Development team, you will play a vital role in creating, developing and delivering the Social Mobility Foundation’s Employer Programme and Social Mobility Employer Index - how we inform, influence and positively impact employer-led social mobility, and a source of income generation.
1. Delivery of the Social Mobility Employer Index
- Deliver the SMEI 2026, including but not limited to: marking entries, creating individual feedback reports for each entrant, creating sector reports for key industries, and gathering feedback to review and update the survey for 2027
- Maintain accurate and up to date information and process documentation, including the mark scheme used to mark entries, and the process followed to create feedback reports
- Support with the ongoing development of the digital platform, employer resources and online content, ensuring it is updated in line with the survey and delivers a smooth user journey

2. Stakeholder management and customer service

About Working Well Trust
Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.
We are recruiting a full-time Employment Support Worker to join our supported employment team in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. This is a permanent position with funding secured until March 2027.
What you’ll be doing
If you were working with us, you would hold a varied caseload of clients with lived experience of mental health, autism and/or a learning disability. You would support clients to identify their employment goals, build confidence, prepare for work, and navigate any barriers they may face.
Your work would be entirely person-centred. You would support clients in line with their preferences and aspirations, helping them identify roles that match their strengths. A key part of the role involves approaching employers, explaining the value of our service, and working with them to identify suitable opportunities for clients. You would continue to support both clients and employers to help individuals sustain their employment.
You would work closely with referring teams, maintaining regular communication and ensuring a coordinated and client-led approach. You would also work to agreed targets while maintaining a high-quality, supportive service that reflects the principles of SEQF and the British Association of supported employment.
What you’ll need
Experience in employment support is not essential. We are looking for someone who brings:

A genuine desire to support people into meaningful employment.

Commitment to person-centred work and enthusiasm to learn the SEQF approach.

Confidence engaging with employers and promoting the benefits of our service.

Good organisation skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.

Beneficial (but not essential): experience working with people with learning disabilities or Autism.
