Right now, we are looking for a Pool Worker  to play a pivotal role in our Domestic Abuse Services across London Boroughs of Richmond, Wandsworth, Brent, Ealing, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Croydon and Merton.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

As a Pool Worker you will provide vital staffing cover across our refuge services to ensure continuity of support for women and children when staffing gaps arise. This is a pan-London role with no fixed base, requiring travel to different refuge locations as needed.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide practical and emotional support to women living in refuge accommodation, helping them to increase their safety, wellbeing, confidence, and independence. You will manage a caseload, deliver keywork sessions, develop personalised safety and support plans, and work collaboratively with service users to help them achieve their goals and move towards independent living.

You will play a key role in safeguarding adults and children, liaising with statutory and community agencies, supporting housing and move-on plans, and facilitating activities that promote empowerment, recovery, and social inclusion. Working within Hestia's strengths-based and co-production approach, you will build positive relationships with service users and partner organisations to ensure individuals receive the support they need to thrive.

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, resilient, and passionate about supporting survivors of domestic abuse, with the flexibility to work across multiple London-based services as required. Applicants should have experience supporting individuals with diverse and complex needs, including mental health issues and substance misuse. This includes delivering high-quality floating or outreach support, developing support plans, conducting risk assessments, and liaising with external professionals. Knowledge of safeguarding, welfare benefits, housing legislation, and the ability to accurately record casework using computer systems is essential. The role also requires the ability to work independently in the community and travel throughout the borough.
