Job summary:

Context
As the Community and Events Fundraising Officer, you will play a key part in ending youth homelessness in Scotland by inspiring people to support Rock Trust.
You will deliver exceptional supporter care and create meaningful experiences for everyone fundraising for us. Although a varied role, your work will follow strong themes – relationship building, spending time with supporters, and working with the Fundraising team; all to make a tangible difference for young people.
You’ll join an experienced and collaborative Fundraising and Communications team and be supported to identify opportunities to grow our community presence, take ownership of our community-led income, and inspire long term supporter loyalty to Rock Trust. In this varied and people-focused role you will meet and present to community groups such as schools, student societies, churches, and voluntary organisations. You may support groups to host their own events, take part in Youth and Philanthropy Initiative projects, or run collections, and you’ll play an important role in improving our supporter stewardship; helping create meaningful ways to connect with, and thank, our supporters.
You will also look after our events portfolio; recruiting participants, ensuring they receive top-notch stewardship, and supporting them in their fundraising journey. From our annual Firewalk to third-party challenges such as marathons and abseils, you’ll ensure that every participant has a fantastic experience. You’ll also use your creativity to bring fresh ideas to the table, adding to, and enhancing, our existing events programme to keep supporters engaged and inspired.
In the office, you will collaborate with teams such as Communications and Finance. About the role:
The importance of this role is key as we rebalance our investment into digital channels to acquire new supporters. This is a varied role for someone who is enthusiastic and enjoys working with people managing multiple projects and a wide variety of tasks. No day is the same!

About RASASC: RASASC Guildford Limited is a registered charity supporting people of all genders, from the age of 13, from across Surrey, who have experienced the trauma of sexual harm, whether recently or in the past.
We are the largest specialist rape and sexual abuse support organisation in the county and provide a range of free, confidential, specialist services so that survivors can move forward with their lives, untethered by the impact of abuse.

Purpose of the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to join RASASC at a key stage in the development of our fundraising programme. Over the last two years, community fundraising, challenge events and individual giving have grown significantly and demonstrated strong potential for future development.
We are now looking for a passionate, organised and enthusiastic Community Fundraiser to help build on this success. You'll oversee our community fundraising and challenge events programme, building strong relationships with supporters, local partners and community groups to raise vital funds for RASASC.
Working closely with the Fundraising Manager, you will build relationships with supporters, local businesses, community groups and donors, helping to increase unrestricted income and raise awareness of RASASC's work. The role will also support the development of individual giving, including our client donation programme, helping to create sustainable unrestricted income for the charity.
This role would suit someone with fundraising, events, communications or community engagement experience who is looking to move into the next stage of their fundraising career within a supportive team environment. Experience
1. Substantial hands-on experience managing multi-donor grants across the full lifecycle, from start-up to close-out with a diverse donor community (governments/multilaterals, trusts and foundations, and private donors), including restricted awards.
2. Proven track record coordinating high-quality donor reports and ensuring contractual compliance across multiple awards and deadlines.
3. Demonstrable experience collaborating internally and leading applications, funding reports, financial reporting (budgets, forecasts, cost recovery, and expenditure monitoring).
4. Experience of preparing concept notes, proposals, and application forms for funding opportunities.
5. Experience with grant databases/CRM.
6. Stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising with donors and supporting senior leaders with briefings and stewardship.
7. Experience in due diligence, risk management and audit-readiness for grants (e.g., procurement, safeguarding, sanctions/PEP checks, data protection).
8. Proven experience working autonomously in a fast-paced environment to deliver a broad range of donor activities.

About the role:
The importance of this role is key as we rebalance our investment into digital channels to acquire new supporters. With proven experience in digital fundraising or marketing, ideally within the charity sector, you have successfully delivered multi-channel campaigns across paid social, email, PPC, search and web, using compelling storytelling and audience insight to drive supporter acquisition, engagement and retention. Confident using CRM systems, fundraising platforms and analytics tools, you can translate performance data into actionable insights that improve results and maximise ROI. You are highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and compliance with GDPR and data protection best practice. A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, you enjoy working across teams to deliver integrated campaigns and are always looking for opportunities to test, learn and innovate.
