Job Summary:

New Direction is a Salvation Army Life house located in Braintree, Essex. The centre provides accommodation and support based on individual needs to 14 individuals aged 18 and above who have experienced homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:

The Housing and Tenancy Sustainment Officer role (internally known as Tenancy Sustainment officer) is an inspirational one and key to achieving successful outcomes for our vulnerable clients. The purpose of the role is to work collaboratively with support colleagues to ensure that licensees/tenants can maintain their licence and tenancies and can access services, taking appropriate action on breaches of licence agreements/tenancies, including antisocial behaviour, and to maximise outcomes for tenants and The Salvation Army.

Successful candidate will have: 

• Level 3 qualification in related field or willingness to work towards it
• Knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless and vulnerable clients
• Ability to work in a busy environment, be solution focused, show good time management skills and can demonstrate ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure
• Motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes

With the launch of new websites and a new CRM system, this is a great time to join the team to maximise our reach to potential supporters and see results. You will work alongside Operations, Finance and Marketing teams to ensure excellent service to colleagues and an inspiring donor journey.

About you

You will be passionate about the power of philanthropy and have experience in fundraising or marketing for income generation.  You will take pride in working constructively with colleagues in other areas to find the right pathway to enabling donations. Your experience of working with relevant data to help identify and monitor fundraising opportunities will contribute not only to Individual Giving activities but the wider areas of major donations and appeals. This will require excellent communications skills for face-to-face conversations and fundraising messages on digital platforms. You will be an organised team worker committed to delivering excellent service and someone who can scan the horizon to see the next opportunity.  You will be happy to travel across Scotland. About the role

We’re excited to be recruiting for an Internal Auditor, known internally as an Assurance and Advisory Officer to join WWF-UK’s Assurance and Advisory Support function.

The team provides independent, objective assurance and advisory services that help strengthen WWF-UK’s operations and add value across both our UK activities and the international projects we support. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, the function helps identify and manage risk, improve systems and controls, and support WWF-UK in delivering its mission effectively and responsibly.

In this role you will plan and deliver end-to-end assurance and advisory reviews, from planning and risk assessment through to reporting findings and agreeing management actions. Your work will help identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement across a range of organisational processes, including regular assurance over fundraising activities and internal systems.

You will work closely with teams across WWF-UK and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. You will communicate findings clearly through written reports and discussions with managers, ensuring actions are agreed and implemented to strengthen systems of internal control and risk management.

The role also contributes to WWF’s global assurance work. The team is an active member of the WWF Network Internal Audit Group (NIAG), collaborating with audit teams across the wider WWF network to share information, coordinate reviews and maximise assurance across the organisation.

Depending on experience, the role may also involve supporting or leading international country office reviews. This may require international travel for up to four weeks per year.

Too often, people face this period with little support, or relying on friends, volunteers and organisations who want to help but aren't always sure how, especially in such a rapidly changing environment. This role exists to change that.

Through our Refugee Homelessness Prevention Project we want to build on the learning and experience we’ve gained over the last 20 years and increase our impact in local communities across Greater Manchester. We are therefore looking for an experienced trainer who is proactive, well‑organised and able to build strong relationships in local communities.

This is a varied and community‑focused role, suitable for someone who is comfortable facilitating training, enjoys meeting people in a range of settings and is keen to help others feel confident in offering housing‑related guidance.

In accordance with the Christian ethos and values of Boaz Trust, the Housing Access Training and Development Officer is responsible for developing and delivering a training and resources programme that builds the capacity of organisations and communities across Greater Manchester to support people recently granted refugee status in accessing private rented accommodation.

The post holder will:

Role Outline

The role will work on the Pathfinder project which works across Greater Manchester to prevent young people from becoming homeless. The purpose of this role is to increase access to high-quality private rented sector accommodation in order to improve opportunities for participants to secure suitable and sustainable housing.

You will work across Greater Manchester to build and maintain strong relationships with private landlords, improving access to accommodation for frontline delivery teams and the young people they work alongside. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues across GMBOP and related programmes, such as Kirklees Better Outcomes Partnership (KBOP), to share expertise, learning and best practice, helping to strengthen housing pathways and maximise impact across the wider partnership.

This role plays an important part in ensuring housing pathways are aligned with our strengths-based approach — supporting young people to move into accommodation that reflects their aspirations, promotes independence, and contributes to long-term stability.

• Increasing the number and diversity of landlords engaged and wanting to work with the project

• Building positive, collaborative relationships with landlords to create seamless housing and support pathways

About You

You are an experienced caseworker or grants officer to individuals with a strong understanding of financial hardship and UK state benefits. You can assess applications, analyse financial information, and make recommendations for support. Highly organised, you manage a varied caseload, maintain accurate records, and use digital systems confidently.

Above all, you bring empathy, sound judgement, and a non-judgmental approach, providing support to people facing complex challenges with respect, confidentiality, and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess applications against eligibility criteria and grant-making policies
• Conduct needs assessments via phone/video calls and review ongoing cases
• Analyse financial information and make recommendations for support
• Prepare reports and recommendations for Grants Committee consideration
• Provide guidance on benefits, housing, debt, employment, and other support

• Maintain detailed, accurate records and ensure data confidentiality

The Role

We’re looking for a conscientious People & Administration Assistant to play a key role in delivering an exceptional HR service across Global Dialogue.

You’ll support the Head of People and our core team, ensuring our HR systems run smoothly, our data is accurate, and our people processes are well‑coordinated, compassionate, and efficient. The day to day of the role will be broad and varied and you will carry out tasks such as maintaining accurate employee records, posting vacancies and coordinating interviews in support of recruitment, keeping track of the employee lifecycle and providing broad team and administrative support. As part of this exciting role, you will also get the chance to observe and contribute to business partnering and wider employee relations tasks.

About You

The right candidate will hold CIPD Level 3 or possess a willingness to work towards it (Global Dialogue could support that study), and hold strong professionalism, discretion, and care when handling confidential information. Experience working with an HR system is essential; it would be advantageous if it were BreatheHR or Remote). You will also be confident with Microsoft 365, spreadsheets, and thrive in delivering excellent attention to detail and accuracy in your work.

The role would suit candidates who are comfortable working in a fast-paced organisation, and who hold some awareness of the pressures the HR team may face, given the organisation's vital work in a national and international human rights setting.

About the role:

You will provide trauma informed support to service users impacted by terrorism. Service users are at the heart of the work we do; working with the family, you will undertake a comprehensive needs assessment to agree a bespoke Support Plan that will include exploring the needs of children and young people within the family.

You will manage a caseload, completing actions agreed on Support Plans and reviewing needs with service users on a regular basis. You will advocate for service users with external stakeholders, agencies and aspects of the criminal justice system. You will build constructive relationships with these stakeholders whilst maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and work collaboratively across VS.

You will support the Team Leader and Operations Manager in delivery of training and information presentations across a range of stakeholders both in person and online. This may require substantial travel and overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

You will have resilience and adaptability; understand the importance of professional boundaries; possess strong listening skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy.

You will enjoy the challenge of a busy caseload and will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisation skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload.

As a fully trained Homicide Family Caseworker you will be responsible for managing your own complex caseload to the highest quality standards.

You will need:

• Understanding of the impact of crime on victims.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering services and working directly within a statutory, voluntary or multi agency setting(s).
• Ability to balance competing needs and priorities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Arrest Referral Worker in our CARS team, which has had, and continues to receive national recognition. 

Cranstoun are proud to work with the West Midlands Police Crime and Commissioner to deliver the Cranstoun Arrest Referral Service within the custody suites of West Midlands Police, and West Midlands Courts, offering drug and alcohol using offenders the opportunity to break the cycle of substance related crime.

Are you currently working as a substance use worker, probation officer, or could you bring transferable skills and experience to our team? Are you a good listener? Can you motivate people to change? Are you comfortable working with vulnerable people? This is a great opportunity to have a positive impact on peoples lives! 

You will work between police custody and criminal courts. You will assess, advise and refer offenders, providing them the opportunity to access treatment to address their substance use. Working with the courts, you will promote the use of Community Sentence Treatment Requirements (Drug Rehabilitations Requirements and Alcohol Treatment Requirements) amongst all court professionals and the judiciary, contributing to Pre Sentence Reports and advocate for our service users.

You will be responsible for delivering all elements of substance use work including assertive engagement, harm reduction support (including naloxone provision), as well as other associated duties. You need to have an understanding of the issues faced by people who use drugs and alcohol, and who commit crime, and be dedicated to delivering a service that supports these individuals to make positive changes to their behaviour, health and well-being.

All roles within this service are subject to enhanced DBS checks and West Midlands Police vetting.
