This is a great opportunity for an Events Fundraising Manager to take responsibility for the planning, marketing and delivering the 2027 TCS London Marathon and oversee the delivery the Challenge Events programme, including London Landmarks, Superhero Tri and Royal Parks Half Marathon, at Whizz Kidz. The role aims to grow and retain participants and strengthen our event offering to meet ambitious targets.

 We are looking for someone to lead on our supporter experience to highlight impact and create brand loyalty. This role line manages two and works closely with the Head of team to generate income to support young wheelchair users.

Key accountabilities

• Lead on the delivering the London Marathon for 2027, with the aim to deliver first class supporter care, from recruitment to post-event evaluation.

• Oversee the delivery of the London Marathon stewardship journey, including email journey, Facebook group and WhatsApp strategic comms plan, and lead on webinars and hybrid stewardship events

• Implement and drive the Challenge Event strategy forward, diversifying our portfolio, increase income and brand awareness

• Oversee implementation of our new event offering for 2026, including the Superhero Tri and Royal Parks Half Marathon, including recruitment and strategic stewardship plans

• Build strong, strategic relationships with potential and existing supporters to maximise fundraising opportunities

The RSPCA York, Harrogate & District Branch is seeking to increase its fundraising activity in order to secure the funding neccessary to completely rebuild the York Animal Home. We are looking to bring on an experienced individual to design, launch and lead our capital campaign and raise the remaining funds needed to complete the project.

The Capital Campaign Lead will take overall responsibility for planning, leading and delivering the £5m capital appeal over the next few years. This includes developing the case for support, managing campaign phases, cultivating major donors and funders, and ensuring strong governance, reporting and stewardship throughout the campaign.

The York Animal Home was built in 1980 and no longer meets modern welfare, licensing or operational requirements. Demand for our services is rising sharply, while the complexity and scale of cases continues to grow. We are at the point where our current animal facilities do meet our needs and have been working to redevelop the site and build new modern facilities.

We have received planning permission and are in the process of finalising the designs prior to construction beginning this year.

We expect Major donors, high-net worth individuals and corporate partnerships to make up the main elements of the fundraising campaign, so are looking for individuals with a proven track record of raising large sums in these areas.

You will also work with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing to shape four individual giving campaigns a year and two legacy awareness campaigns a year. You will support regular reporting on performance towards financial targets, working closely with colleagues to reconcile income, ensure Salesforce records and reports are up-to-date and that integrations support automated data flows.

Specific responsibilities

Supporter care, stewardship and engagement

• Recruit, manage and support guests attending Back Up’s high-profile special events, delivering a seamless and memorable experience from invitation to follow-up.
• Work closely with the Partnerships Team to engage, steward and strengthen relationships with corporate partners and sponsors connected to special events.
• Recruit, develop and manage a dedicated team of volunteers, supporting them in line with Back Up’s volunteering policy and ensuring they feel confident, motivated and appreciated.
• Partner with the Finance team to ensure robust, efficient processes are in place to handle income, process donations and thank supporters promptly and accurately.
• Support Event Committee members by coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and enabling committees to play a meaningful role in the success of events.
• Build strong relationships with the Services Team to recruit people with spinal cord injury, along with their family and friends, to engage with and benefit from our special events programme.

Operational Events Co-ordination and Support

• Deliver the operational coordination of Special and Cultivation events, including managing enquiries, fundraising communications and timely supporter thank-yous.
• Prepare and maintain detailed risk assessments with the Special Events Manager to ensure safe and professional event delivery.
• Manage and build strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
• Work with the Communications Team to deliver creative marketing and communications plans that grow audiences and raise awareness of events.
• Support the Special Events Manager to develop and deliver the annual special events fundraising plan, contributing to budgets and KPIs to increase income and reach.
• Proactively identify and develop new and existing Special and Cultivation event opportunities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all supporter, guest and volunteer interactions on the database.
• Keep up to date with fundraising best practice and sector standards.
• Provide regular reporting to the Special Events Manager, including progress against KPIs and budgets.
• Undertake other duties as required to support the Special Events programme.

As our Challenge Events Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our exciting challenge events portfolio.You'll work on bespoke corporate team-building challenges, high-energy industry networking events like the Hike Bike Paddle for the sports and outdoor sector and the Housebuilders Challenge, and our popular open events like the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge and the Somerset Cycle. 

Challenge events not only enable people to raise amazing sums for the charity, but are also a fantastic way to engage supporters with our work, giving them the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, embrace the outdoors and achieve things they never thought possible - similar to our work with the young people on our programmes.

The Challenge Events Manager role is a varied position which would be perfect for somebody who has event management experience. You will be responsible for the full event cycle, from the initial planning, participant recruitment and stewardship to on the day event delivery and post event follow ups. You will be somebody who can spot opportunities, take on a project and run with it. You’ll be an excellent communicator, happy to pick up the phone to chat to event participants, deliver pre-event webinars or create engaging participant emails. You’re self-motivated, well organised, able to multi-task, a strong administrator, a fantastic team player, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy being outdoors. You should also have some fundraising experience, ideally in a paid capacity but in a voluntary capacity would also be considered.

You'll work closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager, who is highly experienced in delivering our challenge events, but needs time to develop new corporate partnerships which is why we have created this new role. You'll also line-manage our Events Fundraising Officer who plays a key support role on the events. You must live in or near the South West as there will be a semi-regular requirement to attend in person staff meetings, visit programmes and join event planning sessions.

About You

You’re a people-person, self-motivated and highly organised. You are as comfortable managing a budget and a CRM database as you are standing on a mountain side in your waterproofs! You’ll have:

• Event Expertise: A proven track record in delivering successful fundraising or challenge events.

• Fundraising Experience: You might be an existing fundraiser or somebody who has taken on fundraising activities in a voluntary capacity. You will need to be able to relate to the challenge participants and guide them on how to reach their fundraising targets.

• Agility: The ability to think on your feet and adapt plans dynamically when situations change on the ground.

• Leadership Skills: Experience managing staff or volunteers and the ability to motivate a team.

• A Passion for Adventure: A genuine love for the outdoors, comfortable in wellies and waterproofs with an understanding of 'the power of the outdoors'.

About the Role

The Events & Community Fundraising Manager is an integral part of our ambitious and forward-thinking Fundraising & Communications team.

This postholder will deliver The Connection at St Martin’s Events and Community Fundraising activity. They will line manage the Events & Community Fundraising Assistant, with a particular focus on their work on our annual Pilgrimage event. What you will do:

• Develop an events plan that will grow income using data from previous years to understand our supporters and build a creative and sustainable income plan for long term growth.

• Supported Housing – We house over 200 people at risk of homelessness every night, creating a safe, stable environment where they can learn and grow. We’ll soon be launching Foundry Point, our transitional housing development that’s affordable for young people just starting out in life, supported by businesses and community. 
• Families – Our Community Hub offers food and essential items, alongside positive pathways and wellbeing support for families and individuals facing poverty. Our nurseries, holiday clubs and school partnerships deliver high-quality early years childcare and education.
• Support, Advice, Health, Wellbeing - We offer a wide range of community services, including youth programmes, mental health support, horticultural activities, food provision and access to warm, welcoming spaces.
• Training and Education - YMCA Key College delivers vocational training, work experience and employment pathways for young people who find mainstream education challenging.

Flexibility

Our services are delivered across the city of Derby and Ilkeston, therefore building relationships in our area is key to the role.  We will consider remote working for up to two days a week after induction, or part time working from 25+ per week (35 hours is full time).

We have an exciting opening for a full time Corporate Partnerships Manager within our friendly and supportive Income and Engagement team, based at our site in Farnham or Guilford, in Surrey. This energising role is central to the growth of our corporate partnerships program, with a strong focus on developing new business while continuing to strengthen and maximise existing relationships. It’s a varied and fast-paced position where no two weeks are the same, requiring energy, initiative and a commercial mindset. One day you might be identifying and securing new corporate partners, and the next you could be working closely with existing supporters to deepen engagement through initiatives such as corporate volunteering days or bespoke fundraising activity. The role also offers significant opportunity to build on the success of our corporate Firewalk, which launched as a pilot event last year and proved hugely successful, with clear potential to grow and enhance it. There is plenty of scope to think creatively and shape innovative partnership ideas that will drive long-term income growth.

A successful Corporate Partnerships Manager will have:

• Proven experience in fundraising, business development, or a related field, with a track record of securing and managing corporate partnerships
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage effectively with a variety of audiences, from corporate decision-makers to volunteers
• Understanding of the local business community and Phyllis Tuckwell’s catchment area across West Surrey & North East Hampshire
• Experience managing relationships with corporate partners, supporters, and the ability to deliver exceptional stewardship
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a busy, collaborative team
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to support corporate events and fundraising activities
• A full driving licence and access to their own vehicle

We are looking for a Community Fundraising Manager who will focus on leadership and net income growth of the Community Fundraising (CFR) team, who are based across the UK. The post holder will lead and manage the three regional engagement Officers, taking responsibility in actively supporting them to achieve in their posts. 

To succeed in the role, you will need entrepreneurial thinking as well as being able to collaborate with colleagues across the UK to ensure consistent support for staff and volunteers, ensuring our community fundraising activities are delivered well, in a timely manner whilst always being mindful of the return on investment.  The Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the delivery and growth of this area of fundraising and will be expected to meeting annual income targets and ensuring effective budget management.

About the RNRMC

RNRMC is the Navy’s principal charity which exists to support every sailor, marine and their families, for life. We do this by offering grants to and working with, other organisations to deliver programmes that meet the needs of our beneficiaries. We work hard, engaging with supporters to help raise awareness and funds to deliver the outcomes required for today and tomorrow. 

Experience and Background

You will have a minimum of three years’ experience in Community Fundraising or a similar fundraising role, with experience in leading geographically dispersed teams and driving sustainable income growth within a charity or nonprofit setting. You should have a strong track record in managing and developing staff, ideally having overseen regional or community-based officers, with the ability to motivate, coach, and support individuals to achieve fundraising goals. Experience in community fundraising is essential, including planning and delivering a portfolio of activities, nurturing supporter relationships, and ensuring volunteers receive consistent, high-quality support. The role also requires proven ability in budget management, forecasting, and meeting annual income targets.

Success in this role calls for an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset, capable of identifying new opportunities for income generation while ensuring strong return on investment. The post holder must be highly collaborative, able to work effectively with colleagues across regions to drive alignment and deliver well-coordinated campaigns. Strong organisational and project-management skills are key, enabling the manager to oversee multiple initiatives delivered on time and to a high standard. Ultimately, the role requires a confident leader who can balance creativity with operational excellence, ensuring the community fundraising programme continues to grow and deliver meaningful impact.

Hours of Work

Hours of work are 35 hours per week, 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday.

We have a friendly, supportive, and inclusive environment with a hybrid working approach of 60% in office and 40% home-working.

Salary

The annual salary range for the post is between £35,000 up to £42,000 per annum, depending upon experience.
