Your primary focus will be driving our medium- to long-term income streams i.e. regular giving and legacies.

About the Role

The Fundraising Events Executive will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of the Harlequins Foundation's events programme. Working closely with the Head of Programmes, Partnerships and Events and the Partnerships Manager, you will help deliver engaging, high-quality events that raise awareness, strengthen stakeholder relationships and generate fundraising opportunities.

Acting as a first point of contact for supporters and fundraisers, you will provide excellent stewardship and administrative support while helping to ensure events are delivered professionally, safely and efficiently. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines event planning, supporter engagement, logistics coordination and on-the-day delivery.

This opportunity would suit a highly organised, proactive and people-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating exceptional experiences for supporters, participants, partners and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of a range of fundraising and engagement events.
• Coordinate event logistics including venues, suppliers, equipment and communications.
• Support the smooth and professional delivery of events and fundraising activities.
• Act as a key point of contact for participants, supporters and fundraisers.
• Deliver outstanding supporter care and stewardship from registration through to post-event follow-up.
• Coordinate Foundation activity at key fixtures and fundraising events, including auctions and supporter engagement activities.
• Maintain accurate supporter and event records within CRM systems.
• Work with colleagues to promote events and maximise participation.
• Research and identify new fundraising event opportunities.
• Gather feedback and event insights to continually improve supporter experience and event delivery.
• Support volunteers, ambassadors and stakeholders involved in Foundation events.

Key Requirements

• Experience supporting or delivering events, ideally within the charity, sports or community sectors.
• Strong customer, supporter or stakeholder engagement experience.
• Experience coordinating volunteers and working with a range of stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using CRM systems, such as Salesforce, would be advantageous.

About the role

The Community Fundraising Assistant will provide administrative, fundraising and event support to the Events and Community team, helping to deliver excellent stewardship to community supporters and ensure the smooth running of fundraising activities and events. The postholder will support communications, data management, supporter engagement, fulfilment of fundraising materials, event delivery and lead a specific research project to help inform future fundraising activity.

Key Responsibilities

Supporter communications and engagement

• Assist with incoming and outgoing communications via telephone, email, post and social media as required.
• Respond to enquiries from community fundraisers and supporters, providing excellent customer service and timely information.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community supporters, fundraisers and volunteers.
• Support stewardship activity, including thank-you communications, recognition initiatives, supporter updates and follow-up.
• Support the creation and distribution of supporter communications and fundraising materials.
• Act as a positive ambassador for the organisation when engaging with supporters.

Fundraising materials and administration

• Prepare, pack and post fundraising materials, resources and supporter packs.

Data management

• Accurately record and update supporter information on the organisation's CRM or database.

Research project

• Take the lead on a designated research project to identify potential fundraising opportunities, trends, partnerships, or community engagement initiatives.
• Gather, analyse and present findings to the fundraising team.
• Produce recommendations to support future fundraising strategies and activities.
• Manage the project timeline and provide regular updates on progress.

Events support

• Provide administrative and practical support for fundraising and community events as required.
• Support attendee communications and volunteer coordination where necessary.
• Undertake other event-related duties to support the wider Fundraising team during busy periods.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confidence in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with supporters and colleagues.
• Experience of data entry and maintaining accurate records.

Previous experience is a similiar role is highly desirable, as is experience with CRM systems, fundraising platforms, or the charity sector.

Woman’s Trust is a leading mental health charity supporting women affected by domestic abuse. For nearly 30 years, we have provided free, trauma-informed counselling, therapeutic groups, and workshops to help women rebuild their emotional wellbeing. About the Role:

As Senior Individual Giving & Legacy Fundraiser, you will play a key role within the Individual Giving & Legacy team, leading the delivery of high-impact fundraising campaigns that inspire long term and loyal support. You are an experienced direct marketing, fundraising or supporter engagement professional with a strong track record of delivering successful campaigns that generate income and build lasting supporter relationships. You understand how to combine data, insight and creativity to develop compelling fundraising activity across a range of channels, and you are motivated by achieving meaningful results that make a difference. 

You are a confident and proactive project manager who can balance multiple priorities, manage budgets and suppliers, and keep complex campaigns on track. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive fundraiser who enjoys both bid writing and relationship building.

Working closely with the Fundraising Manager, you will play a key role in securing income from trusts and foundations, supporting donor stewardship, and helping to grow community fundraising activity. We are looking for an enthusiastic Fundraising Officer to join the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity Team.

Your role will be key in helping to build new relationships with the public to provide information about the work of the Charity and inspiring people to fundraise, as well as hospital staff within QEHB.

Who We Are

This is why our hospital charities do as much as they can to help patients and their families feel as supported as possible during their treatment. Each hospital charity provides the added extras that are "over and above" what the NHS can fund as standard. This includes life-saving equipment, state-of-the-art facilities, training and research, as well as free accommodation and patient comforts.

At QEHB Charity we are currently raising funds for a Total Body PET CT Scanner as well as our Brain Tumour Fund and Home from Home accommodation for civilians and military personnel, to name just a few.

As a Fundraising Officer you will help us raise much needed funds that will make a real difference to our patients and their families.

About the Role

This role is primarily based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, with the expectation of occasional travel to other hospital sites.

This post is within the Fundraising Team at University Hospitals Birmingham Charity, which is the official charity of Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital, Solihull Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

The purpose of the role is to help build relationships with the public and hospital staff within Queen Elizabeth Hospital, as well as with existing supporters.

The role includes proactively going out to meet people to provide information about the work of the Charity and inspiring people to fundraise for the Charity. It also involves spending time on the hospital wards meeting the clinical staff and supporting them with their fundraising efforts to raise money for their wards and departments and to benefit their patients. 

Working as part of a team, the post holder will have specific responsibility for accurate data inputting of donations, fundraising and Gift Aid claims and correspondence with donors and fundraisers.

This role will involve occasional evening and weekend work at charity events and events organised by our supporters.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

• Proactively helping to drive and increase income from community groups and individuals to advance the Charity's fundraising ambitions both individually and as part of a wider fundraising team.
• Providing excellent stewardship to key supporters and volunteers and build strong relationships with potential new supporters.
• Working alongside the Stewardship Team, ensuring accurate data inputting of donations, fundraising, Gift Aid claims and correspondence, both written and verbal, with supporters
• Building excellent relationships with clinical colleagues to ensure the different wards and departments are working effectively with the charity
• Collecting donations from across the hospital and meeting donors and fundraisers who come to the hospital.
• Working in our Charity Hub, working as part of a team to ensure that it is staffed during opening hours
• Organising and attending cheque presentations, charity stalls and bucket collections both on and off site
• Managing and prioritising unpredictable and frequently interrupted busy workload.
• Working with and deliver clear objectives and key performance indicators.
• Proactively contributing to the achievement of targets and the ongoing fundraising success of the Charity as a whole and to be a supportive, effective and collegiate team member.

COMMUNICATION 

• Relaying accurate and timely information to the fundraising team, communications team, grants team and stewardship team. Communicating with clinical and non-clinical staff within the hospital. Communicating with donors and fundraisers.
• Dealing with enquiries from the general public, disseminating information and ensuring that the appropriate action is taken, whilst maintaining the Charity’s policies and procedures

ORGANISATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining Raiser's Edge donor management system. Accurate data inputting of donations, fundraising, Gift Aid declarations, thank you letters and general archiving, production and upkeep of databases.
• Recording fundraising activity for other members of the team, including amounts raised and events attended.
• To organise with the rest of the team and charity manning levels of the office to ensure a continual service to the public.
• Monitoring and managing stock levels of fundraising materials.

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to present oneself in a professional manner as a representative of the hospital and the charity.
• To maintain confidentiality in all aspects of duty, including fundraiser and donor data.
• To maintain an accurate, effective database, recording essential information and providing statistical data in accordance with guidelines and policy using Raiser's Edge, Microsoft Office, Word and Access.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• To represent the Charity in a variety of different contexts and to a variety of different audiences.
• To ensure that a positive image of the hospital and the Charity is projected at all times.
• To hold a flexible approach to working hours (the role will require the post holder to work evenings and weekends as necessary).
• To hold a flexible approach to work when asked to take on other fundraising or admin duties when the team needs to cover holidays or at times of workload pressure.
• To adopt a supportive approach when working with the fundraising team and other colleagues within the hospital.

The Fundraising Officer will also carry out other projects and duties as directed by the Head of Fundraising, Director of Fundraising and Charity Chief Executive.

To successfully lead the Grants team and raise voluntary income from a range of Grantmakers including Trusts, Foundations and local Government grant funders contributing to an overall team target of £1-million +. Working effectively with a grants team of three, and across the organisation, you will meet team annual targets of circa £675,000 through finding new opportunities, building excellent relationships with funders and managing the team effectively. This will lead to more young people reached by Eikon’s services.

Responsibilities

Income generation

· Lead responsibility for raising current annual team target of £675,000 for restricted and unrestricted income

· Work to agreed metrices including an annual target of £220,000 - £250,000/year with a pipeline including statutory, national & regional grant funders (some being invite only).

· Develop and lead networking plan (internal/external) to secure long-term grant and statutory funding opportunities to help increase financial income year on year.

Account Management

· Lead a stewardship framework, ensuring excellent account management of funders across the team (including own portfolio)

· Lead plans for the year, thinking creatively to develop new engagement opportunities such as panels, breakfast meetings and other events

· Collaborate with other leads and managers in the team to maximise opportunities through relationships, for example Major Donors, Corporate partnerships and Individual Givers.

Management

· Line management two staff members (Senior Grants Fundraiser and Trust Fundraiser), creating a positive and supportive working culture supporting them to meet their targets

· Lead on managing pipeline information on Donorfy, being able to pull reports for information and analysis including:

o Provision of data and narrative for monthly team meetings

o Contribution to Board reporting with narrative and pipeline information

o Analysis for annual planning sessions

Quality and standards

· Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.

· Ensure all activities follow the relevant Fundraising Codes of Practice and Eikon’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.

· Prepare relevant Grant Agreements and contractual information.

· Carry out risk assessments for all activities for which you are responsible.

· Carry out required basic due diligence on new funders.

Finance and resources

· Budget responsibility with authorisation up to agreed limits

· Operate within organisational approved budgets, policies and procedures.

Communications and relationships

· Work collaboratively with the Communications Lead to devise annual communications and marketing plans, ensuring Eikon is strategically positioned externally.

· Work collaboratively with service leads ensure new services developed meet funder needs and requirements

Strategy/transformation work

· Lead on developing and delivering annual grants plan

· Participating in a Leads network, contribute regularly to organisation matters including strategies, annual plans and budgeting.

• Responding to enquiries from volunteers and supporters by phone, email and in person
• Helping volunteers get started, including applications, onboarding, training and inductions
• Coordinating rotas, records and supporter activity so the team has accurate information
• Supporting excellent stewardship so volunteers and supporters feel appreciated
• Helping with fundraising materials, hospital displays, stock and merchandise activity
• Supporting cash handling and donation administration, with accurate records for audit purposes

You’ll be a confident communicator who enjoys working with people and providing a thoughtful, professional service. You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing a range of tasks, with good attention to detail and strong IT skills.
