Earlsfield Foodbank was set up in 2013 and is part of IFAN. We are based in St Andrew's Church, Earlsfield, London SW18 and operate on a Thursday morning. Our team of Volunteers provides food and support to the 300 local "guests" that are registered with us. Typically 70-80 come each week. As food poverty is often a symptom other issues we provide further support on the day. The Home Café which is also based in the Church kindly enables us to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Our income is a mix of grants, donations (both cash and food direct) and fund raising events.

1. Lead the team on the Thursday morning.
2. Promote the role of the Foodbank within the local community to increase the level of donations from individuals and local businesses.
3. Work with the Trustees to secure multi-year grants.

Fundraising
· To set the strategic direction for income generation at Age UK Merton, developing and delivering a sustainable portfolio of future-focused fundraising that grows income and optimises the supporter journey over the long term.

You will be keen to understand how our work makes a difference to people and use our impact to demonstrate our social value.This role crosscuts a range of key specialisations, so you may have experience working in communications and be keen to widen your skillset; you may have a background in impact evaluation, you may have experience in curating digital content for charities; or you may have worked in fundraising or development for a non-profit. We are keen to invite candidates with a range of experience from a variety of non-profit roles and are especially interested to meet candidates who have been part of, or are ready to be part of, the strategic growth of a social organisation.

We are looking for a part time Senior Philanthropy Officer for a 12 month contract, to identify, develop and manage a portfolio of funders and donors including trusts, foundations and major donors, maximising income through the development of co-ordinated stewardship and relationship management.

The Role
Support the team to deliver c£400k income target, through strong managent and stewardship a portfolio of trusts, foundations and major donors, with a strong focus on the the trust fundraising.
Identify, research and submit high quality applications to charitable trusts, foundations, major donors and organisations.
Identify tangible packages for funders to support and work closely with senior colleagues and members of other teams to develop content for applications and reporting.
Contribute to the effective delivery and development of the fundraising strategy.
The Candidate
Experience raising four/five figure income through trusts and/or major donors.
Ability to identify and research prospects, and move them through the philanthropy giving cycle to cultivate and maintain long term relationships.
Experience of producing funding proposals, bid writing or producing tender documents.
Experience of developing strong cases for support and compelling propositions.
Ability to analyse and interpret financial and operational statistics and other complex data sets.
