We are looking for an enthusiastic challenge events officer for a high-profile national charity . You will be supporting the challenge event team over a busy period , engaging, and stewarding challenge event participants for London landmarks, Half, London Marathon and London 2 Brighton cycle.

Hybrid working , you wll be 50% office based of your working hours which equates to 2 days one week and three days the week after.

The Role

Speech and Language Therapist

About the Role

The Speech and Language Therapist at the Education Hub will provide specialist assessment, intervention and support for children and young people affected by the Grenfell Tragedy. The therapist will conduct comprehensive assessments using evidence-based tools, including formal standardised assessments, observational analysis and dynamic assessment approaches to evaluate speech, language and communication needs.

You will:

• Work on a 1:1 and group basis with children and young people and provide a high level of expertise to develop students’ speech, language and communication skills.
• Give advice, information and support to enable parents/carers and schools to promote the development of speech, language and communication skills.
• Work with families to equip them with the knowledge and skills to create supportive home environments that meet their child’s specific needs.
• Work in close liaison with the Occupational Therapist and the rest of the team to ensure efficient and effective management of children identified with speech, language and communication needs.
• Comprehensively assess children and young people to help identify difficulties in expressive and receptive language, social communication, fluency, and speech sound development, ensuring targeted and effective intervention.

• Develop Speech & Language Therapy training packages, policies, and programmes to parents, carers and professionals.

About You

You will have:

• UK qualified status and registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) with a license to practice.
• Registered member of Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists
• Trained in Hanen, Elklan, Let’s Talk or VERVE Child Interaction (or a willingness to attend training)
• Extensive knowledge of principles in effective working with families and schools and application to practice.
• Experience of operational caseload management for children with a speech and language need.

About the Organisation

The Grenfell 'Education Hub' opened last year to serve those most affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The hub provides a safe, restorative and relational education support to children and young people, their families and local schools.

A consultation process in 2023 and 2024 about the needs of the community and the bereaved and survivors led to proposals for an educational ‘hub’.  This comprises a wide range of professionals including four specialist teachers, an Educational Psychologist, a Speech and Language Therapist, an Occupational Therapist, a Careers Specialist, and a Family Support Practitioner. Their time will be divided between direct work with children and families in the ‘Hub’, and support for local schools.

We are recruiting a Fundraising Manager to act as the organisation’s operational lead for income generation. This is a part-time role (18–24 hours per week) with significant flexibility, ideal for someone who is organised, thoughtful, and motivated by building something meaningful.

About the role

Step Up MCR’s Neighbourhood Connector will work alongside our Director to engage communities and drive an arts-led approach to community building.

You will have a strong presence in the community at weekly drop-ins, engagement events and Peer Support Network meetings, supporting people to grow new and existing community-led initiatives. The post-holder will actively engage in local networks and develop a knowledge of referral partners and support pathways.

The Neighbourhood Connector will support with the development of a toolkit of helpful resources that combines Step Up MCR’s offer with those from local partners, which could be anything from training and opportunities, pro-bono support, or specific resources, skills and knowledge to give a local project the step up it needs to grow.

The role will provide a friendly and accessible approach to project development, checking in regularly with projects, tracking progress and connecting with other locally available support through our Advisory Panel and Peer Support Network.

Keychange is a Christian Charity working in older people’s social care and homelessness support. Keychange provides care, support, personal development, and well-being services across nine sites in England, consisting of seven residential Care Homes for older people and two Housing Communities for women and young people, with an additional housing site in development. Our office in London provides a support function of central services to our communities to enable them to operate at the most effective level with a focus on delivering quality care and support.

Wayside Community is a 19-bed supported accommodation project in Reigate for women experiencing homelessness. Residents stay with us for up to 2 years and during this time we provide person-centred, trauma informed support to each resident, to enable them to achieve their goals and move on to sustainable, independent living.

About the Role

• This Support Worker role involves coordinating support for clients, helping women to identify their personal aims and supporting them to achieving their goals
• Providing dedicated person-centred support to clients, ensuring they access relevant services such as housing benefits and welfare benefits
• Conducting assessments with prospective clients and enrolling them in line with Keychange policies
• Liaising with other statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure the appropriate support for clients.
• Working as part of a team responsible for the day to day management of the house, and alongside clients, to provide a high quality, positive and safe place to live.
• To assess factors which could impact on the safety of clients or others, and to develop a management plan with the client and other services delivering relevant support.

Who We’re Looking For

You will bring:

• Experience in helping people to identify personal goals and supporting them through a process of change.

• Supporting vulnerable people - Ability to maintain enthusiasm for a high level of contact with clients on a day to day basis and a non-judgemental approach to working with people with complex needs.
• Communication skills - excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively using telephone, face to face, written and electronic methods with a variety of different people

Independent Advocate Requirements:
