We are recruiting for a new general manager post.

Our General Manager will be a key member of Different Planet Arts small staff team. Working closely with the Artistic Director and the Board of Trustees as part of the Senior Management Team, you will manage and organise operational support for Different Planet arts programme, ensuring we provide an excellent service to our participants, partners and audiences. This role is suitable for someone building a career in operations.

2. Creating and updating service user records on Charitylog and Excel including data entry and uploading documents, etc.

Key tasks
Casework provision
● Provide high quality casework support to residents (housing, financial, legal, mental health, and physical wellbeing support)
● Support survivor empowerment to speak out and self-advocate
● Carry out regular risk assessment with survivors and respond to any safeguarding concerns as per Ella’s’ safeguarding procedures
● Provide day-to-day support and build trusting relationships with the service users
● Be sensitive to the rapidly changing emotional and physical needs of the service users and respond accordingly

We are recruiting for a dynamic, mission aligned leader to join us as Audience Manager – Church Mobilisation. This is a new, pivotal role in strengthening our connection with Churches globally and helping to grow our worldwide movement.

Reporting to our Audience Growth Lead, you will lead the development and delivery of a bold Church Mobilisation Strategy that raises awareness of Mary’s Meals, builds trust and inspires meaningful support across parishes, religious communities, Church affiliated schools, higher education settings and major global events.

Collaborating widely across our Growth team and National Affiliate network to implement this strategy, you will guide the creation of compelling resources, oversee our presence at faith events and act as our internal expert on engaging Church audiences, drawing on your experience in faith-based or community engagement. Your leadership will support our National Affiliates to grow their local Church engagement, deepen relationships and help bring our mission to life for new and existing supporters.

You will:

• Shape and lead our global Church Mobilisation Strategy, ensuring it reflects our values and resonates across diverse cultural and faith-based contexts.
• Build strong partnerships with National Affiliates, supporting them to deliver impactful Church engagement programmes within their local communities.
• Strengthen our visibility within Church networks by coordinating Mary’s Meals’ presence at key faith-based events and identifying new opportunities for meaningful participation.
• Create inspiring resources and materials that equip parishes, schools and Church organisations to connect with and champion our mission.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Marketing, Communications and Product teams to ensure Church audiences remain central to campaigns, messaging and product development.
• Oversee Mary’s Meals’ presence at major international faith events.
• Cultivate new relationships with religious orders, Church movements, higher education institutions and influential faith-based networks.
• Gather insights and monitor emerging trends, using data and feedback to continually refine and improve our approach.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of working with faith-based or community groups, with a passion for engaging communities in meaningful mission driven work.
• Proven experience of developing strategies, building partnerships and delivering programmes, ideally within fundraising, community engagement or organisations working closely with the Church or faith-based communities.
• Strong collaboration skills with experience working across cultures and contexts, able to inspire and influence diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with a creative approach to developing compelling resources, messaging and experiences and you will be energised by opportunities to design, build and deliver new initiatives.
• Experience of delivering engaging presentations to diverse audiences, with comfort in acting as an ambassador for Mary’s Meals at events.
• A strong solutions focus, self-motivation and drive to deliver results.

SHAK (South Hampstead and Kilburn Community Partnership) is a resident led charity based on the Alexandra and Ainsworth estate in the Kilburn Ward of Camden, London, dedicated to supporting residents and young people living in an area of high deprivation.

Our Mission is to work with local young people and adults to improve well-being, inclusion and life chances by nurturing talents, passions, skills and confidence.

Our Vision is of a place where everyone can live, learn and grow together.

We do this by identifying and meeting local needs with a range of opportunities in areas of lifelong learning, youth activities, community involvement, employment support, advice and guidance, volunteering, events etc.

If successful you will be based at “The ARC Youth Club”, an estate based youth led centre with integrated music studio, kitchen, games and "chill-out" space. The ARC engages approximately 250 young people per year and plays a vital role in their welfare and development outside of school. In holidays we offer a full program of activities and free meals for young people who may otherwise miss out.

You will deliver a range of activities e.g. cooking, arts & crafts, sports, trips, music, events etc. You will also offer support and guidance for local young people and enable them to develop life long skills while designing and running their own projects, forums etc. In school holidays you will be required to work an expected 28 hrs a week as we offer a full program of activities and free meals for young people

Duties Include:

Promoting and delivering activities for young people aged 9-19 yrs  (up to 25yrs for young people with SEND), 3 nights a week during term time, hours 3-8pm (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday), and 4 days a week during school holidays, hours 11.30am-7pm (Tuesday-Friday). There also may be times when you are required to work outside of these hours

Engaging with a range of young people from diverse backgrounds and with multiple needs with a focus on developing and running a programme for girls and young women. 

Ensuring safeguarding standards are maintained and other policies and procedures are upheld

Facilitate and support intergenerational projects 

Working in partnership with other organisations to meet local needs

Acting as an effective part of the youth team and wider SHAK team supporting community activities as needed

Admin and reporting duties as required

Skills & Experience

• Relevant youth work qualification or equivalent and significant, relevant experience of youth service delivery.

• Experience of engaging girls in youth programmes successfully

• Knowledge of youth policies, safeguarding procedures and legislation

• Good communication, people skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to relate, support and engage with wide range of young people

• Proficient with computers, social media and other modern technologies

Fitz is looking to appoint an outstanding individual as Development Director. A senior figure within the College, the post-holder will oversee the delivery of the £40 million FutureFitz campaign in conjunction with the Master, the Bursar, and the Governing Body. They will lead on fundraising for the campaign, developing new and deepening existing donor relationships, and will manage a team of five development staff. Fitz is looking for a strategic fundraiser who is open to thinking creatively about development. They will embody the College’s ambitious, collaborative and pragmatic ethos, and will be an active and engaged member of the community.

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding major gifts fundraiser, with campaign experience and a significant track record of fundraising at a senior level. They will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience of cultivating long-term relationships with donors, and a proven ability to oversee, shape and motivate a team of engaged staff. They will ideally have experience engaging comparable alumni donors. They should be committed to the College’s values and aims.

The Development Director will be elected a Fellow of the College, reflecting the seniority of the post and the importance of the role.
