We are looking for a Communications Specialist to join our UK office (London-based). Reporting to the Communications Director and the CEO  you will be responsible for supporting the fundraising, events management and private philanthropy teams as well as liaising with the media.

Your main responsibilities, in order of priority and time commitment, will include:

1. Writing content for newsletters, presentations, emails, etc.
2. Managing social media channels, including copywriting and proposing audiovisual content.
3. Writing communications materials for events, campaigns, etc.
4. Maintaining website content.
5. Coordinating annual publications (Annual Report and Impact Report).
6. Coordinating external suppliers (audiovisual, web maintenance, etc.).
7. Writing press releases and liaising with the media.

Requirements

1. 4+ years of experience. 
2. Degree in Journalism, Communications or related fields.
3. Professional experience with Campaign Monitor, Mailchimp or similar.
4. Professional use and management of social media platforms, mainly LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.
5. Experience using design platforms such as Canva.
6. Fluent English communication skills.

The Programme Director, Media and Communications leads on the design, development and implementation of communication strategies and plans to advance Humane World for Animals UK’s strategic priorities with regard to campaigns, brand-building and fundraising. The role creates, implements and measures the success of a comprehensive communications programme that will aim to significantly enhance the organisation’s image and position within the UK animal protection space.

As Stories Officer, you will take ownership of StepChange’s storytelling function, working directly with clients and internal teams to ensure stories are delivered ethically, effectively, and in line with organisational objectives.

You’ll develop and maintain processes for sourcing, sharing, and managing client stories, balancing creativity with safeguarding and data protection requirements. You’ll work closely with colleagues across media, marketing, campaigns, partnerships, policy, research, and public affairs to deliver stories that meet their needs and help StepChange communicate with impact.

From interviewing clients with lived experience to co-creating materials for campaigns and public events, you’ll ensure every story is told safely, respectfully, and authentically. You’ll also help identify new storytelling opportunities.

We are seeking an experienced communications lead to join our external engagement team and play a key role in shaping Martingale’s external profile and scholar recruitment.

As Communications Manager, you will lead on several critical aspects of Martingale’s work including all external communications from social media to PR, and brand management. Crucially, you will lead on the annual recruitment campaign for Martingale’s Postgraduate Scholarships. This three-month campaign each autumn is a fundamental part of Martingales work, ensuring we are finding and supporting as many talented people to apply as possible. • Coordinate an effective paid advertising campaign across multiple channels.

Working arrangements

Full-time, 35 hours per week. Working from home required, but with one day a week in the office near London Bridge. Must be based in or near London. STOP THE TRAFFIK prevents vulnerable communities from being recruited, trafficked, and exploited. Our targeted prevention work disrupts the criminal business of human trafficking, making it too high-risk and low-profit to be viable.

The Fundraising Officer sits within our Development & Communications Team and will support on growing and delivering our fundraising and partnership pipeline. The Fundraising Officer will lead on donor administration, support the preparation of applications to trusts and foundations, contribute to individual giving initiatives, and help build philanthropic and corporate partnerships.

About the role

This role represents an exciting opportunity to build on Eden Rivers Trust’s success and take the Trust forward at a time when rivers and water are high in the public consciousness and firmly on the Government’s agenda. Change is expected across the water sector, and Eden Rivers Trust wants to be part of delivering that change – working positively and practically from the ground up.  

We have opportunities to make a significant impact in tackling many environmental issues around water in the Eden and Cumbria;  promoting the concept of integrated catchment management through delivering our strategic plan and the Eden Catchment Plan, both of which contribute to the Cumbria Local Nature Recovery Strategy,  the Government’s Environment Improvement Plan and Plan for Water. 

We will do this working with a multitude of partners, including our sister Rivers Trusts in Cumbria and across the North West.

As Strategic Communications Lead, you'll shape how LSESU tells its story during a time of significant change and growth. You'll work at the heart of the Union, crafting the narrative that connects students to the work of their elected Sabbatical Officers and the transformation underway across the organisation.
 

In this role, you'll translate complex policy objectives, organisational priorities, and student-led change into compelling stories that build trust, drive engagement, and strengthen the Union's reputation. You'll work closely with Sabbatical Officers and Senior Leadership to ensure LSESU's communications are clear, consistent, values-driven, and always focused on our impact for LSE Students.
 

This is both a strategic and hands-on role – and is an opportunity to make a real difference. You'll develop the narrative framework that guides all our communications, while also delivering excellent copy, content, and multimedia assets across newsletters, social media, web, reports, and events. You'll bring creativity, political sensitivity, and a talent for storytelling to one of London's most dynamic student organisations.

Who are we looking for?

 

We're looking for an experienced communications professional with a strong track record in stakeholder engagement, reputation management, and narrative development. You'll bring proven expertise in creating compelling content across multiple channels—from newsletters and social media to speeches and impact reports—and the ability to translate complex information into accessible, engaging stories.
 

Experience with media handling, crisis communications, and working in politically sensitive environments is essential, as is the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders including student leaders, senior staff, and external partners. You'll be confident producing multimedia content, including coordinating filming, photography, and graphic assets.
 

You'll be resilient and adaptable, able to thrive in a fast-paced, democratic environment while managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines. Strong copywriting, editing, and strategic thinking skills are key, as is a commitment to accessibility and inclusive communication.
