Role Description

The Family Matters team provides emotional support, information, and guidance to the families (e.g. partners, parents, adult children, grandparents) of those under investigation for online child sexual abuse offences.

They are often the hidden victims of crime, facing multiple problems and isolated from sources of help and support. This role provides one to one support to family members over the phone, supporting clients with attending Court hearings, liaising with relevant professionals, and advocating for clients where necessary. 

Responsibilities:

• To work as a member of the Family Matters Team to deliver outcomes for the Family Matters Programme as agreed with The National Lottery Community Fund.
• To provide information and Trauma informed support at a time of crisis to service users.
• To manage a caseload of complex adult client cases, providing client centred, practical and emotional support.
• To conduct risk assessments / case management.
• To offer information and support to family members regarding the Criminal Justice process during investigation, court hearings, sentencing and beyond.
• To help family members remain informed regarding Child in Need and Child Protection processes.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 

Essential: 

• Experience in direct support work with victims or other vulnerable people including providing emotional and practical support.

About the role 

This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in three of our schools in Birmingham and The Black Country. The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors and coaches, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of our programmes is optimised. The role is based in Moseley School, Wood Green Academy and Ormiston Forge Academy.As this job is based in three schools Monday to Thursday each week and regular travel is required, a full UK driver's license is advantageous. The role can be based from home on Fridays when online team meetings and training takes place. 

Role responsibilities

• Work directly with students, mentoring in an impactful, professional and safe manner. 
• Engage with school staff, your Programme Manager, and students in school to ensure that you have fully enrolled cohorts across all programmes. 
• Coordinate the delivery of the programmes across allocated schools, acting as the sole on‑site representative of The Access Project. 
• Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications. 
• Upload information onto the Salesforce database in a timely manner (training is provided). 
• Work proactively with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities, enabling effective communication to contribute to the smooth running of the programmes. 
• Present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on our programmes progress. 
• Support the wider team by attending university site visits which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

The main purpose of this role is to support rough sleepers on the RBWM housing pathway. The resettlement team help service users to maintain their tenancies and remove the risk of homelessness. This role supports people with experiences of rough sleeping, substance use and homelessness to access the RBWM housing pathway, using comprehensive assessments and co‑produced Personal Housing Plans to identify needs, risks and opportunities. You'll provide weekly key‑working sessions, help clients maintain Stage 2 temporary accommodation, and motivate them to build independence, engage in recovery, and improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Working collaboratively with education, employment, health and specialist agencies, you'll ensure support is holistic and focused on preventing homelessness wherever possible. You'll manage a varied caseload in line with service standards and Hestia values, empowering service users to take ownership of their goals and make meaningful progress toward stable housing and a better quality of life.

The candidate should be familiar with recovery principles and approaches, and committed to empowering service users to make informed choices and work toward independence.

You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, including supporting the induction of peer staff and volunteers. An awareness of lone working and health and safety practices is important, alongside motivation to uphold professional standards and use management and peer support to maintain resilience. Good IT, literacy, and numeracy skills are essential, including proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and email communication.

Our IAP's support residents who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. They are given support and guidance to aid their reablement, resettlement and rehabilitation post prison. You will contribute towards them achieving goals necessary for their personal development and move on within the community.

• Providing high quality psychological services, contributing to the delivery of Approved Premises aims as specified by the Ministry of Justice.
• Ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics.

• Lead the delivery of the Public Engagement Network contract from inception through to delivery, learning and evaluation, including co-ordinating an integrated management team including representatives of our two partner organisations.

Our approach to hybrid working 

We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.

We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to- face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.

You’ll support the day-to-day running of the charity’s finance function—ensuring income and expenditure are processed accurately, reconciliations are completed on time, strong controls are maintained, and colleagues receive responsive support. Key responsibilities

1) Accounts payable (supplier invoices & payments)

• Process supplier invoices end-to-end: query resolution, correct coding (including VAT), approvals, posting to Xero, and maintaining an audit trail.
• Prepare and run supplier payment batches in line with controls and delegated authorities.
• Maintain supplier records and support efficient, professional supplier query handling.

2) Expenses & corporate cards (Payhawk) and posting to Xero

As a Senior Coach you will be working on the frontline delivering high quality one-to-one support to a caseload of young people across London. You will support young people to recognise and capitalise on their strengths by taking a coaching approach. You will be comfortable managing a level of heightened risk with the young people you are supporting, keeping timely and high-quality records, liaising with other professionals from a range of backgrounds, and providing support to colleagues to work towards positive outcomes for young people. You will have experience in managing safeguarding concerns well and thrive in the ups and downs of support-based work.

Overall, we are looking for a compassionate frontline worker, with an understanding of the value in coaching, and who has a level head at times of crisis. You are not afraid of shying away from difficult conversations and will challenge others appropriately to help them see a different perspective or viewpoint, always holding young people at the centre of your work.

PART-TIME 10 HOURS PER WEEK (0.25FTE) Mondays 8.45-2.45, 4 hours flexible.

(Post will require 1 day per month travel minimum to Birmingham)

Our Youth and Community team based at Oasis Community Hub: Warndon are looking for a special, talented, and adaptable Regional Administrator, to help us strengthen and sustain our range of community and targeted youth programmes across Warndon and the Midlands region, through offering administration assistance and social media support.  You will work alongside our Hub Leader to:

· complete a range of administration tasks to support the smooth running of the local hub projects

· Promote Community Hubs through various social media platforms

· Support the team with the implementation and effective use of the EVIDE data management system.

· Assist the regional director with administrative tasks as required

· Record all activity on our data management system.

· Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people you come into contact with.

· Actively engage in the learning and professional development courses provided as part of this employment.

We are looking for individuals who have:

· A relevant qualification in Administration/ Marketing and/or significant experience.

· Experience of working alongside other statutory and voluntary organisations.

· Knowledge of safeguarding practices with young people.
