About the role

As our Trusts & Grants Manager, you will:

• Develop and deliver a proactive trusts and grants fundraising strategy.
• Secure funding from trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies, with a target of £120,000 for 2026/27, contributing to an overall organisational target of £300,000.
• Identify and research new prospects, write high-quality funding applications, and produce compelling cases for support.
• Manage the grants pipeline, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
• Work collaboratively across the organisation to gather budgets, impact data, and programme information.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with funders.
• Uphold best practice in safeguarding when working with young people through programmes such as YAK.

You will be the organisation’s specialist in trusts and grants, supported by the Head of Philanthropy and working closely with colleagues across Firstsite.

About You
A successful IT Support Technician (Infrastructure & Cyber Focus) will have:

• At least two years’ experience in an IT support role (ideally 2nd-line or higher).

• Awareness of cyber security principles and endpoint protection, with the opportunity to develop this further in role.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A professional, customer-focused approach with a desire to continually improve systems and services.

The Role

About the role

This role is central to our Information & Advice service. You will provide high-quality initial information and guidance, assess urgency and risk, and ensure people are directed quickly and appropriately to advice services, support services or partner organisations.

• Working closely with the service delivery team ensuring that the right people are recruited and engaged into the right roles, in the right place, and at the right times. 
• Collaborating with the communications team ensuring the widest possible publicity for the region’s needs through media and social media opportunities, local press, radio, TV, and online forums.
• Liaising closely with the fundraising team delivering against recruitment targets linked to grants.
• Working with the fundraising team on proposals and grant applications using regional knowledge, identifying local need, and collecting case studies.
• Identifying speaking and presenting opportunities ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to referrers.
• Working effectively as part of a regional team, maintaining, and growing all Re-engage services. 
• Joint accountability, with colleagues in the region, for the engagement of older people and recruitment of volunteers into Re-engage's portfolio of services 
• Carrying out any other reasonable tasks assigned to you by your line manager.

The Role

We are seeking a Director for Charities to lead and further develop the Company’s grant-making, philanthropy and fundraising. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping and delivering charitable strategy and ensuring the Company’s resources create meaningful, long-term impact for young people and communities.

The Director for Charities will oversee our grant-making, steward key funding relationships and play a central role in developing fundraising with members, including growing individual giving, legacies and events-based income. The role is inherently relational, working closely with charity partners, schools, dioceses, Company members and colleagues. You will support and advise grant-making committees, convene learning and engagement events, and represent the Company within external funder networks to remain connected to best practice in modern philanthropy.

Job summary

Reporting to the head of growth and sitting within the engagement team you will:

• recruit volunteers by promoting Re-engage’s services, 
• develop effective relationships with new and existing referrers such as social prescribers and community link workers
• identify and cultivate new, innovative referral pathways to connect with a broader demographic of seniors experiencing social isolation and loneliness
• support the wider Re-engage team in the delivery of our grant funded projects 

Engagement officer tasks and requirements

• Growing and developing our network of referral partners, including social prescribers and link workers, ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to people aged 75+ who are experiencing social isolation and loneliness.
• Partnering with communities to create regular, volunteer led, social gatherings for people aged 75+
• Utilise Re-engage's CRM (OPUS) to inform evidence-based, data-driven decision-making to develop effective engagement plans.
• Working closely with the service delivery team ensuring that the right people are recruited and engaged into the right roles, in the right place, and at the right times. 
• Collaborating with the communications team ensuring the widest possible publicity for the region’s needs through media and social media opportunities, local press, radio, TV, and online forums.
• Liaising closely with the fundraising team delivering against recruitment targets linked to grants.
• Working with the fundraising team on proposals and grant applications using regional knowledge, identifying local need, and collecting case studies.
• Identifying speaking and presenting opportunities ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to referrers.
• Working effectively as part of a regional team, maintaining, and growing all Re-engage services. 
• Joint accountability, with colleagues in the region, for the engagement of older people and recruitment of volunteers into Re-engage's portfolio of services
