This is the only national charity supporting people living with lupus and those who care for them. They hold an ambition for a world where people with lupus can live full and active lives. As the Individual Giving Officer, you will be responsible for supporting fundraising through individual donors including members and reoccuring donors. This person will have some experience across individual giving and have worked on delivering individual giving fundraising campaigns before. Ideally this person will have digital and email marketing experience and be an excellent communicator. 

This is a permanent part-time role orf 21 hours and offering a salary of £35,000 FTE per annum. This role is remote with occasional travel to London.

Community Fundraising Lead

At Friends of PICU, we’re dedicated to supporting the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital Southampton, funding lifesaving equipment, providing family support, and enhancing care for critically ill and injured children. We’re looking for a Community Fundraising Lead to grow our community and events fundraising activities, inspire supporters, and make a lasting impact for families when they need it most.

The Role

As our Community Fundraising Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind our community and event fundraising. You’ll build relationships with existing and new supporters, community groups, and corporate partners developing opportunities to raise income and awareness for Friends of PICU.

Working closely with our Operations Manager, you’ll deliver an annual calendar of exciting fundraising events, from local community challenges to large-scale campaigns, ensuring each activity connects people to our mission and delivers excellent supporter experiences.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) with hybrid working – based partly at our charity office at University Hospital Southampton and partly from home. Some evening and weekend work, plus travel across Hampshire and neighbouring counties, will be required.

• Grow community fundraising by engaging with fundraisers, schools, faith groups, clubs, and small businesses.

The Role

This is a key fundraising role within a small and collaborative charity team.

As Fundraising Lead, you will play an important part in developing and delivering a diversified fundraising pipeline, with a particular focus on trusts and foundations, alongside philanthropy and selected partnership opportunities.

You will report to and work closely with the Director of Growth & Strategy, who leads overall fundraising strategy and senior relationships, while you focus on driving day-to-day fundraising activity, pipeline development and funder engagement.

Primary purpose of the role:

WECare’s Finance Officer will support the Head of Finance in the day-to-day financial operations of the charity, ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported. • Manage the finance inbox and respond to finance-related queries

Essential skills and experience:

• Proven success in high‑value fundraising, including cultivating and sustaining long‑term relationships with major donors, trusts, foundations and corporate partners.
• Significant experience developing and delivering multi‑million‑pound fundraising strategies that meet ambitious income targets and deadlines.
• Expertise in funding project and programmes of charitable work, as well as growing unrestricted income
• Demonstrable leadership across multiple income streams and fundraising portfolio management, with the ability to manage, motivate and develop teams through periods of change and growth.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills, enabling the candidate to navigate complex funder relationships, deliver outstanding partner stewardship and produce compelling cases for support.

Key details

Hours: full-time (35 hours per week).

Salary: £70,000 per annum FTE, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.

Location: hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London office (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH).
