Main Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strong, strategic pipeline of trust and foundation prospects aligned with organisational priorities and funding needs.
• Grow PILC’s individual donor and supporter base.
• Work closely with the Director and project teams to translate power-building and legal work into clear, compelling funding propositions.
• Manage the full grants cycle, ensuring excellent stewardship and compliance with funder requirements.
• Cultivate new relationships with trusts and foundations and steward relationships with existing funders.
• Secure significant income from trusts and foundations, including multi-year and six-figure grants.
• Ensure all fundraising activity complies with PILC’s Ethical Fundraising Policy and relevant regulations.

Human Resources Manager (maternity cover)

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 / year

Location: Our offices are in Toynbee Hall, East London, but we welcome applicants from across the UK who do not wish to relocate. You should be willing to travel to our London office for team and project meetings up to six times per year. Project related travel costs will be reimbursed

Hours: Four to five days a week (flexible – minimum 28 hours/ week). The Young Foundation supports a 4.5 day working week and staff work this, wherever possible (pro rata for those working less than a 35-hour week)

Contract: Up to one year fixed term contract. Start date March 2026

About the role

About you

This role would suit a motivated self-starter with a passion for the work we do, someone who can work independently while also influencing and collaborating with senior teams and trustees. You will have a deep understanding of inclusive recruitment, employment law, payroll, pensions, and HR systems.

You should be a proactive, CIPD Level 7-qualified professional (or equivalent senior-level experience) with the ability to embed equality, diversity, and inclusion into all aspects of HR practice. Job Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the Gift Aid Manager is to oversee the management and administration of Gift Aid, and other forms of tax-efficient giving, to maximise MSF UK’s income. This includes responsibility for managing the Gift Aid and tax reclaim processes across multiple income streams, ensuring claims are submitted in a timely manner, and that MSF UK remains compliant with HMRC regulations. This role requires a specialist understanding of Gift Aid regulations.

They also act as the main point of contact with HMRC on complex matters relating to Gift Aid and reclaiming tax, providing solutions or advice on more complicated Gift Aid queries to the wider Fundraising team. The Gift Aid Manager will lead on planning and delivering regular Gift Aid communications to supporters.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in managing end to end Gift Aid claims and processes within the charity sector.
• Strong working knowledge of HMRC Gift Aid regulations, practices and procedures and other relevant HMRC guidelines.

With 500 members, 180 berth holders and an annual turnover of circa £1.1m, the new Club General Manager will be the most senior paid staff member and hold full responsibility for the Club’s performance, financial sustainability and day-to-day delivery. Working closely with the Commodore, Flag Officers and Committee, and supported by a management team, you will shape the overall member experience while ensuring the Club operates safely, efficiently and in line with its values and traditions.

This is a broad, hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You will oversee marina operations, hospitality services, estate and facilities management, governance and compliance, staff leadership and member engagement. You will have genuine scope to influence standards, develop people, improve systems and processes and ensure the long-term sustainability of a much-loved organisation.

About this role:

Reporting to the Head of Policy and Communications, the Policy and Communications Coordinator will support SIB’s track record of sector, government and media engagement, notably the high standard of publication set through its media partnerships with Tortoise and the Financial Times, its contributions to the policy landscape in the social sector, and its in-house data analysis and insight generation. This new post will contribute to SIB’s ongoing communications and public policy work and its reach and influence, building on a growing base of expertise across SIB’s three strategic priority areas: Green Transition, Infrastructure and Services.

Key responsibilities

1. Support the Head of Policy and Communications to deliver the Policy and Communications strategy for SIB.

2. Making use of media and parliamentary tracking software keep abreast of SIB’s strategic policy areas, sharing accessible updates and digests of relevant legislation and central and local government programming and media coverage.

3. Attend / watch online relevant parliamentary committees, All Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) and Commons and Lords sessions, capturing relevant outcomes and identifying MPs and Lords that SIB should seek to work with / influence.

4. Support the Head of Policy and Communications to identify a key parliamentary contacts list. Create tailored communications for these key contacts which share relevant statistics and case studies from SIB’s portfolio, alongside policy influencing lines. This will include drafting questions and briefings where relevant, and ensuring that regular contact is maintained. 

5. Support the drafting of consultation responses and press releases using SIB’s core messaging, reporting, research and data.

6. Support SIB’s annual party conference attendance with coordination and administration in advance and in person.

7. Support the Head of Policy and Communications with attendance at influencing meetings and webinars with, for example, the Association of Decentralised Energy, Community Energy England, Locality, Better Society Capital, the Access Foundation and others.

8. Draft internal and external copy for newsletters and the SIB intranet and website.

9. Monitor the press email address and support correspondence with journalists on reactive and proactive stories.

10. Attend and provide oversight to the Social Investment Forum, as part of SIB’s secretariat and hosting.

11. Write, edit and produce engaging and relevant content at pace for web, social media and e-newsletters, as well as earned and paid channels.

12. Management of external suppliers of communications and policy activities, including agencies, designers, consultants and think tanks.

13. Work with the Marketing Manager, Marketing and Events Coordinator, Business Development Manager and wider team to deliver successful external events with customers, stakeholders and partners including attendance at Party Conferences.

About this role

The Philanthropy Manager will own an assigned portfolio of prospects and donors at five to six figure level and act as the day-to-day relationship manager within that portfolio.

The role plans and delivers cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activity to agreed KPIs, makes timely operational decisions within scope, and escalates risks/opportunities early.

The post holder contributes evidence and insight into team planning, supports senior colleagues on major/strategic accounts, and collaborates across teams to ensure high quality, inclusive delivery.

We're looking for someone with experience of verging or similar church support work. FFLAG is a national voluntary organisation and registered charity and is the UK’s longest established parent support charity in the LGBT+ sector. Our history began in the grassroots parent helplines of the 1960s, grew through the 1980’s and 90’s as we supported anxious parents and fought against the discrimination of Section 28, becoming a formally registered charity in 2000.

Responsibilities include maintaining financial records and budgets, processing invoices, monitoring project expenditure, supporting grant applications and claims, ensuring compliance with statutory and funder requirements, and preparing financial reports for the Board.

We are looking for an AAT-qualified (or equivalent) individual with strong bookkeeping and accounting skills, experience using financial systems (e.g. Sage or QuickBooks), excellent communication abilities, and a proactive, organised approach. An interest in heritage and community-based projects is desirable.

The role is 22.5 hours per week, with some flexibility required, including occasional evenings and weekends.
