To fulfil our exciting campaign ambitions, we are recruiting a Corporate Philanthropy Manager to help grow our philanthropic funding and to take our campaign to the next level. We are looking for someone with a strong new business record, who is confident in networking with some of the biggest and most influential businesses in the region. The role will have a set portfolio of relationships to steward and develop, whilst maintaining a watching brief to identify new opportunities for strategically valuable partnerships. Academics here are tackling some of the world’s most pressing global challenges such as the impact of climate change on our woodlands and forests, issues caused by migration and displacement, the rise in youth mental health issues, and the prevention of needless maternal deaths in the developing world. This role is a great opportunity to further develop your skills and will play a vital role in delivering projects to change lives locally, nationally and internationally. A key member of the Development and Alumni Relations Office’s (DARO) Charitable Partnerships team, you will identify, create and manage corporate philanthropic partnerships with local, national and global businesses. You will have an enthusiasm for building relationships, the skill to interact with high-level corporate professionals and academics, experience of delivering against KPIs, KPTs and against financial targets, along with the ability to translate complex information into a compelling case for support.
Main Duties
The Corporate Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for:
- Developing and strengthening relationships with key current corporate funders to the University to grow philanthropic income.
- Identifying and building relationships with new corporate funders to secure a minimum of six figure gifts.
- Managing a pipeline of short, medium and long-term funding applications and relationships to enable year-on-year corporate philanthropy income growth.
- Taking responsibility for a developed and expert knowledge of a number of key campaign programmes.
- Building close working relationships with academics, alongside other University colleagues, to find information needed to write clear and compelling proposals on existing and new areas of research, that aligns with the strategic priorities of corporate funders.
- Signposting academic colleagues to resources to help secure income from a variety of sources, including research councils, charitable grants etc.
- The ability to take calculated risks to create a step-change in our corporate philanthropy portfolio, recognising the importance of ‘high risk high reward’ in transformative fundraising.
- Build effective, co-ordinated, working relationships with the following external stakeholders:
- Major local, national and global corporates
- Relevant city, regional, national and international business networking and brokerage organisations
- Agencies that promote corporate social responsibility and charitable giving

Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience
- Educated to Degree level (or equivalent qualifications). Where no equivalent qualification is held, significant practical relevant experience and expertise in a similar role will be required.

Hub Supervisor – South Bristol

The Hub Supervisor plays an essential role in the smooth running of the South Bristol hub, supporting all aspects of the food operation. You will work as part of a team to effectively support the hub operation, incoming goods, storage and dispatch of goods to member charities to high levels of compliance and service. This role will include working with a large and diverse team of volunteers throughout the week.
The role will be primarily based at our South Bristol Hub, where alongside our usual food redistribution operation and volunteering programme, we run our youth employability programme FareChance for 18 to 25-year-olds to develop logistics and workplace experience.
Duties and responsibilities:
Hub Support
- Support the smooth running of food intake, storage, and food distribution, liaising with food industry representatives, FSUK, distribution companies and hauliers.
- Support the South Bristol Hub Manager and Fleet Manager in coordinating and maintaining the fleet of vans and machinery.
- Report to the South Bristol Hub Manager with operational improvements to increase efficiency and implement agreed changes.
Volunteers and FareChance
- Oversee (under the direction of the South Bristol Hub Manager) FareChance participants, regular volunteers and corporate volunteers on hub shifts, delegating and assigning tasks, providing training and supervising work to ensure all tasks completed effectively and safely.
- Provide positive role modelling to FareChance participants and volunteers while undertaking warehousing tasks together.
Goods In and Storage
- Follow FSSW goods-in procedures including liaising with suppliers, completing relevant paperwork, using inhouse software and fork-lifting duties and ensuring areas are ready to receive good in and dispatch orders at all times.
- Manage storage of stock within the hub, including stock checks, rotations and sharing of best practice
- Oversee the dispatch of goods through deliveries and collections ensuring all FSSW procedures are followed.

Compliance and Health & Safety

We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.
We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage.
In January 2024, we expanded into ‘phase one’ England, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. And in July 2025 we expanded into ‘phase two’ England, namely Merseyside, Devon and Cornwall, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Context of role:
The Business Services Officer provides high quality administrative and operational support across governance, IT, facilities, data protection, recruitment and general administration.
Working closely with the Head of Finance & Business Services, this role ensures the charity has strong internal systems, efficient processes, and compliant practices that enable staff to deliver services effectively and compassionately.

About the role
Our Hartlepool Parent Support project is commissioned by Hartlepool Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings and perinatal mental health support throughout the region. Support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.
We are seeking a capable Perinatal Mental Health Project Leader who is passionate about supporting parents to lead on this project. This role is home-based but will include travel across the Hartlepool region (expenses will be reimbursed).
Join our passionate team and contribute to the meaningful work that transforms the lives of parents and families. Your role will include:
•Leading on perinatal peer support across the Town.
•Managing the volunteers

About the role and person
The new Chief Executive could be someone with senior management experience who is ready to lead an organisation for the first time, or they may already have experience of being a Chief Executive.
Whatever your background you will need to demonstrate, amongst other things:
- Experience of leading and managing in a collaborative and collegiate style
- Skill at creating and delivering cross-sector partnerships
- An entrepreneurial style and a record of income generation
- A deep understanding of the issues arising in inner city areas, gained through lived and/or professional experience
- A pioneering, creative and innovative style and a commitment to DEI
