Lead and Direct Income Generation and Future Fundraising for Swindon Food Collective
The role has key responsibility for all income generation activities at Swindon Food Collective. This includes high-profile networking with local businesses, corporations and the public sector, processing grant applications, growing and managing key corporate partnerships and significantly increasing fundraising activities. This is a senior role and the role-holder will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The work involves undertaking frequent travel to local corporations, businesses, and wider public sector stakeholders.
Role Purpose
To design, deliver and secure a multi-stream recurring income generation strategy, manage charity-wide philanthropy, and strengthen long-term financial resilience.
Key responsibilities
Strategy and planning
• Develop and deliver a 12–24-month income generation plan aligned to SFC priorities and the Trustee Strategy & Fundraising Committee.
• Build a balanced income mix (corporate, philanthropy, trusts, community and digital where appropriate), with clear targets and resource assumptions.
• Produce compelling cases for support and pitch materials tailored to different audiences.
Corporate partnerships and sponsorship
• Identify, cultivate and secure corporate partnerships and sponsorships (including 'charity of the year' and payroll giving where feasible).
• Design partnership packages (benefits, brand alignment, staff engagement, volunteering) and manage delivery and stewardship.
• Work closely with the Brand Ambassador & Events Manager to convert event leads into partnership conversations.
Philanthropy, major donors and relationship fundraising
• Build and steward relationships with high-value supporters, ensuring excellent donor care and personalised stewardship.
• Manage a prospect pipeline (research, cultivation plans, asks, stewardship and renewals).
• Coordinate CEO and trustee involvement in high-value relationships where appropriate.
Trusts, foundations and grant fundraising
• Own the trusts and foundations pipeline, from identifying funders to writing compelling bids and submitting applications.
• Coordinate impact evidence and data collection across SFC to strengthen applications and reporting.
• Complete and undertake all funding and grant applications (corporate and public sector) in a timely fashion and ahead of relevant deadlines. Report funding progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure timely and high-quality funder reporting and relationship management.
Performance management, systems and compliance
• Manage income forecasting, budgeting and ROI tracking; set and monitor KPIs and provide clear reporting to CEO/Board.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM (or agreed system), ensuring GDPR compliance and strong data quality.
• Ensure fundraising activity aligns with relevant fundraising standards and ethical practice.
Leadership and organisational contribution
• Senior Leadership Team member: contribute to organisational planning, budgeting and risk management.
• Work collaboratively across operations and volunteering functions to ensure fundraising promises align with delivery capability and safeguarding requirements.
• Coach and support colleagues and volunteers who contribute to income generation activity.
• Other tasks as relevant / determined by the CEO.

Support the Business Support Administrator to manage the stock, ordering and distribution of fundraising materials to ensure event participants are equipped and engaged.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and passionate experienced Corporate and Community Fundraiser to play a key role in the growth of our corporate and community income and develop new partners. This brand new role will develop fundraising opportunities with businesses and community groups, helping to broaden our supporter base and strengthen long-term relationships.
This is an fantastic opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual who is keen to make a tangible difference. This is the first time we’ve recruited a corporate and community fundraiser and there is significant opportunity to raise funds as our organisation grows. The issues of health and well-being across the population and food insecurity are urgent and our work directly addresses these critical issues.
You’ll be a key part of the growth of Bags of Taste’s fundraising activity and will be able to make this your own role. We’re initially recruiting this role as a one year contract however we expect this to become a permanent role as funding allows and we’ll review this with the post holder after six months.
Key responsibilities
Corporate Fundraising
● Develop and implement a plan to raise funds from companies (this could be nationwide or within local project areas) with the Head of Fundraising and Comms
● Research corporate fundraising opportunities and develop a pipeline of prospects
● Approach new businesses to financially support Bags of Taste through presentations, applications, pitches and proposals
● Devise partnership opportunities where required eg volunteering days/fundraising ideas
● Work across the organisation to develop leads via staff, Directors and volunteers
● Account manage all corporate supporters in order to develop strong long-term relationships
● Attend networking events to develop new leads.
Community Fundraising
● Develop and implement a plan to raise funds from community groups. This could include events, peer to peer fundraising or volunteer led activity
● Provide guidance, resources, and encouragement to community fundraisersto help maximise their fundraising efforts.

Relationship Development and Stewardship
● Build and develop relationships with all corporate and community partners
● Develop fundraising tools and guidance for all supporters
● Ensure excellent stewardship for all partners in order to build strong, long term relationships. This includes good recognition and communication (reporting and updating).
Administration
● Prepare budgets where needed, track income and forecasts
● Maintain accurate records acrosscorporate and community fundraising

General
● Support and supervise volunteers as and when required

Person specification
Essential
● A minimum of 2 years of experience managing all aspects of corporate fundraising within a charity (including experience of securing new business, account management and stewardship)

About the team
The Income Generation Directorate at Shelter comprises of the five departments, delivering a mature fundraising programme that has seen continuous year on year diversity and growth. The directorate generates over £48m gross income each year, of which a high percentage is unrestricted.
Our Corporate Partnerships team is split into two areas - New Partnerships which generates income by securing new relationships with private sector businesses, and the Partnership Management team, where this role sits, is responsible for the growth of Shelter’s voluntary income by managing and developing existing corporate partnerships spanning a variety of sectors. Senior Corporate Fundraiser

We are looking for a Senior Corporate Fundraiser to become an integral part of the Meningitis Now corporate fundraising team, as we build upon our longstanding, dedicated supporter base with exciting new partnerships and tremendous potential for growth.
You will provide expert stewardship of our current portfolio of corporate supporters and deliver new fundraising activities and campaigns that will inspire their employees to fundraise. These relationships will develop further by securing new support through sponsorship, company donations, payroll giving and referrals to new partnership prospects within their network.
