A leading arts and entertainment organisation is looking to appoint a permanent Senior Finance Manager to play a key role within its Production Finance team.

The organisation operates in theatre production, venue management, and performing arts education. Reporting into the Head of Finance, the Senior Finance Manager will lead a small team and play a central role in ensuring high-quality financial support is provided to the Productions function.

You will oversee the delivery of timely and accurate weekly production accounts, providing non-finance stakeholders with a clear understanding of pre-production costs and running profits. You will also ensure that relevant technical accounting and taxation considerations, including theatre tax relief, are appropriately reflected. Alongside production accounting, you will oversee monthly management accounts and reporting for the wider Group, working closely with colleagues across Production Finance and FP&A to ensure accurate financial information supports decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of production accountants, ensuring a high-quality and responsive service to the Productions function.
• Oversee the delivery of accurate and timely weekly production accounts.
• Oversee monthly management accounts and Group reporting.
• Ensure compliance with relevant taxation and company administration requirements.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of statutory accounts and tax returns, supporting the timely receipt of theatre tax relief.
• Act as a key point of contact throughout the annual audit process.
• Contribute to budgeting and reforecasting processes.
• Work with senior Production Finance and FP&A colleagues to maintain accurate show-by-show profit forecasts.
• Identify and deliver process improvement initiatives.

About You

You will be a qualified accountant with experience within a theatre, production or wider entertainment environment.

You will have:

• An understanding of production accounting and the financial complexities associated with theatre productions.
• Experience of technical accounting considerations within a production environment (including technical financial elements such as theatre tax relief).
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful insight for non-finance stakeholders.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week from offices in south-west London / Surrey.
