The role requires you to be in the office once a week as a minimum.  This role is full time. Working 35 hours a week but they would consider candidates looking for less hours.   

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality supporter service and manage donor communications
• Maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce
• Process donations, payments and grant transactions
• Manage sales and purchase ledgers
• Raise invoices, chase debtors and support month-end tasks
• Assist with reporting and supporter care activity

You’ll also gain exposure to a major data integration project between Salesforce and Sage 200.

About You

Essential:

• Experience in a charity finance function
• Experience processing donation income and reconciliations
• Strong Excel and CRM skills
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

• AAT qualified or ACCA part-qualified
• Knowledge of Salesforce Lightning or Sage 200

Key result areas:

 

Fundraising

· To set the strategic direction for income generation at Age UK Merton, developing and delivering a sustainable portfolio of future-focused fundraising that grows income and optimises the supporter journey over the long term.

· To lead the diversification of income, reducing reliance on any single partner or

activity and building a resilient, balanced fundraising portfolio that represent a high return on investment and grows our supporter base. This will be via individuals, corporates, trusts & foundations, statutory bodies and the community; cultivating long-term, meaningful partnerships, enhancing Age UK Merton’s reach, influence and income-generating potential.

· To strengthen and grow the legacy pipeline, overseeing effective stewardship and marketing, and will oversee the external lottery, ensuring regulatory compliance and annual growth.

· To maintain an agile, insight-driven approach to stay ahead of sector trends and competitor activity.

· To develop sound business cases for investment in new income generation posts or activity.

Commercial Services

· To develop and expand our paid-for services, with a focus on outreach activity to widen reach and access to services, and to increase client numbers and those in underrepresented and underserved populations.

· To develop and expand our paid-for services, to increase client numbers to create a step change in sustainable income and delivery of services across the borough.

· To ensure our paid-for services represent a strong return on investment and to ensure the business model is regularly reviewed for cost efficiencies and potential for growth.

Purpose of the Role

The Administrator / Finance Officer plays a key role in the smooth running of One Newham. The postholder will provide reliable financial administration, maintain accurate records, support budgeting and reporting cycles, and ensure effective office and administrative systems are in place, with a strong emphasis on finance.

• Maintain accurate financial records on QuickBooks.

• Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with cashflow forecasts.

Role Overview:
The Talent Set is pleased to partner with a respected charity to recruit a part-time Interim Supporter Care Officer. This role involves delivering exceptional supporter stewardship, maintaining accurate supporter data, and fostering positive relationships with donors to enhance engagement and contribution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the front-line contact for supporters, handling calls, emails, and letters with professionalism and care.
• Maintain accurate supporter records within the donor database, ensuring GDPR compliance and confidentiality.
• Prepare and send timely thank you communications and process various donation mechanisms, including direct debits, standing orders, and Gift Aid.

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

Job Sumnmary for Policy Officer 

We are looking for a Policy Officer to join our Policy and Influencing team. You will build on your policy experience, responding to and shaping policy to ensure it drives real change for people affected by bowel cancer. You will turn complex issues into clear, actionable insight for colleagues, partners, and decision-makers, and contribute to evidence-informed positions that support the charity in influencing health policy. You will also lead on your own policy areas and work closely with our bowel cancer community to ensure their experiences inform and shape our work.

Qualifications and Experience

• We welcome applicants from a broad range of experience and background, specifically spanning policy, science or health
• Some direct experience of working on policy issues in health, or a relevant sector, and a willingness to develop these skills further, alongside an interest in those issues affecting bowel cancer patients.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

• Good verbal, written communications and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively and adapt style to different audiences. Including the ability to explain information clearly and encourage colleagues to understand different points of view
• Proven ability of strong analytical and research skills to identify and solve a range of problems
• Good interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills
• Understanding of the health policy and political environment
• Excellent organisational, time and project management skills with the ability to prioritise work, handle conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines on defined work areas
• Proven ability to support the day-to-day management of specified projects, proving some technical input in the project planning stage.
• Knowledge of the health service and health service policy issues. Awareness of cancer issues and bowel cancer in particular is desirable
