Our Consultancy team works across a broad range of strategic and fundraising challenges, combining deep  sector expertise,evidenceand insight with practical consultancy. We work with Boards, Trustees, Executive Teams and senior fundraising leaders to develop strategies, solve complex problems and identify opportunities for growth and change. 

Research and insight is an important part of how THINK delivers consultancy. We use research, stakeholder insight, market analysis, benchmarking and sector evidence to understand the challenges facing organisations and develop recommendations that are grounded in evidence and practical to implement. 

We are creating a new Research & Insight Consultant role to strengthen this capability. The role will provide the research and insight spine for Consultancy, while operating as aconsultant in its own right. 

The successful candidate will bring significant experience of strategy, consultancy or senior strategic leadership within the charity sector, alongside deep expertise in at least one area of fundraising. They will be confident working with senior stakeholders, leading complex projects, developing strategic recommendations and contributing to the growth of a consultancy business. 

Research and insight will be a significant part of the role. The postholder will advise project teams on research  methodology, lead research-led assignments where appropriate, ensure research is appropriately scoped and costed, and build a strong associate research capability. 

The postholder will be expected to lead consultancy projects, develop strategic recommendations, build senior client relationships, contribute to proposals and pitches,identify opportunities  for  further work and help generate new consultancy business through their expertise and network. 

To qualify for this post, candidates must be able to demonstrate: 

• Comprehensive senior-level experience within charity fundraising, consultancy, strategy or a closely related field

• Comprehensive expertise in at least one fundraising income stream or specialist area

• Demonstrable research, analytical and insight skills, with the ability to determine what evidence is needed to answer a strategic question
