We’re looking for a confident and enthusiastic fundraiser with a track record of delivering and leading major donor fundraising, membership schemes, corporate partnerships as well as securing significant funds from Trusts and Foundations.

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for implementing the charity’s fundraising strategy to increase our fundraised income to support all areas of our activity. This will be achieved by connecting donors and supporters to our mission to delight and unite communities through the power of live performance and participation.

The charity has ambitious plans for the future. We will continue to invest in the beautiful Theatre Royal Winchester. With the absence of Arts Council England National Portfolio funding, we will be transitioning to a new structure and funding model for future Hat Fair festivals. Through our engagement projects we will continue to have impact on our local community both in central Winchester and the wider district.

The Fundraising Manager role will be vital in:

• Helping to develop a sustainable fundraising model to secure future Hat Fair festivals

• Securing funding from Trusts and Foundations for community projects, core revenue to support our artistic and creative ambitions, and capital works

• Cultivating and securing large gifts from Major Donors

• Growing our membership base – our members are loyal and key advocates of the charity and audiences for our events

Herts Young Homeless is an independent charity and has been supporting vulnerable young people in Hertfordshire since 1998. We are professional, passionate, collaborative and supportive charity that provides guidance to young people in need of support.

Future Roots Supported accommodation is located in Welwyn Garden City. We are looking fo a Supported Accommodation Worker who will support the 5 Housemates to learn the skills they require to live independently, whilst ensuring the accommodation is a safe and homely environment to live in. What will you be doing? 

• Manage a varied caseload with differing timescales and deadlines.

Strategy Development

• Develop and deliver an ambitious legacy and in-memory giving strategy and operational plan, driving sustainable income growth and achieving KPIs.
• Develop and implement associated objectives, workplans and KPIs to track progress.
• Work closely with stakeholders, to curate and implement compelling legacy marketing plans to promote awareness of gifts in wills and recruit new pledgers.

Management of Legacy Programme

• Responsible for ensuring legacy programme meets annual targets, with appropriate stretch targets in place.
• Work collaboratively across all Income streams, Communications and Impact to drive growth in the identification and cultivation of new legacy pledgers.
• Organise legacy events to support cultivation and stewardship of legacy givers.
• Work with Retail to embed legacy messaging in our charity shops and use in‑store activity to grow awareness and legacy leads.
• Provide exceptional stewardship of legacy pledgers individually and collectively, through the development and implementation of a legacy stewardship programme.
• Sensitively and expertly co-ordinate with the legacy administration function (which is outsourced), including regular communication with our professional legacy advisor, exploring and initiating stewardship and impact reporting activities.
• Collaborate on and personally take steps to maximise existing initiatives such as Gifts in Will month and identify new opportunities to market legacies and grow pledgers.
• Lead on developing and leading initiatives to improve awareness of legacies amongst charity staff, volunteers, charity shop customers and the Board.
• Collaborate with the Individual Giving Managers to identify and maximise legacy marketing opportunities through existing and new activities. 
• Take personal and collective responsibility for ensuring legacy fundraising is conducted in a legal and ethical manner in line with Charity Commission guidance, and other regulators as appropriate.

London Friend is the UK’s oldest LGBTQ+ charity providing health and wellbeing support to LGBTQ+ people. Services include support and social groups; counselling; drug & alcohol support; an extensive volunteering programme; and training and consultancy.

Summary:

The Supporter Partnerships Officer (SPO) plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional experience for new and existing supporters of London City Mission.

Purpose of the job:

As a key member of the Fundraising team, you will be the first point of contact for individuals and organisations who give to the charity; handling enquiries, processing donations given over the telephone, updating supporter records, nurturing long-term relationships and providing insight to other members of the fundraising team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a people-centred environment, enjoys providing outstanding supporter care, and is energised by working in a mission‑driven fundraising setting.

Your work ensures supporters feel valued, informed, and inspired to continue their journey with us. Conversations around personal faith, Biblical convictions around supporting gospel ministry and requests for prayer often form part of the dialogue between the SPO and supporters.

Key responsibilities:

Supporter care and engagement

• Be the first point of contact for supporters' (existing and new) enquiries by phone, email, letter, website and any other fundraising channels. Ensure they experience an excellent standard of response and experience.
• Be responsible for ensuring donations are thanked promptly and for establishing excellent standards of supporter care.
• You will look for opportunities to send stories and communications that show the Mission’s appreciation including leading on the LCM wide thank you events to Individual Giving supporters.
• Keep thank you letters up to date with new stories to show the impact of their donations.
• Respond to the cancellation of donations thanking the supporter for their gifts and ensure that the cancellation was planned.

 Data and insights

• Ensure all supporter information and interactions are captured accurately, up to date and stored in the fundraising CRM in line with GDPR and organisational policies to allow LCM to maximise income. This includes creating new records, assist with managing online donation pages and communicate with supporters on communication preferences and gift aid.
• Run regular reports to track supporter engagement, retention, and income trends.
• Use insights to improve supporter stewardship and fundraising journeys.

Proactive fundraising support

• Identify opportunities to deepen supporter relationships, including upgrading gifts, promoting campaigns, or encouraging long term commitments.
• Support the delivery of fundraising appeals, events, and supporter journeys.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the fundraising team to deliver outstanding supporter experiences.
• Maximise income by ensuring gift aid declarations are correct and up to date giving supporters every opportunity to opt in. 

Donation processing and administration

• Accurately set up new direct debits and Gift Aid declarations.
• During staff absence support the recording and reconciliation of donations if necessary.

Fundraising and supporter partnerships team

• Represent LCM at external events and conferences each year where the SPO will be expected to communicate LCM’s vision with a passion for and understanding of the gospel message, as well as share their personal journey of faith in Jesus Christ.
• Provide support and take part in meetings, activities and events in the Fundraising and Supporter Partnerships Team.
• Fully participate in the spiritual life of the Mission including attending the annual week of prayer, the monthly Team Day and daily staff prayers.

The Supporter Partnerships Officer plays a key part in managing Partnerships with individual supporters for the London City Mission. It is essential that he/she must personally own, communicate and implement the aims and objectives of the Mission as he/she will be the first point of contact with supporters, including written, telephone and face to face. LCM deeply values its relationships with supporters, some of whom have been giving to and praying for the work for decades.

Many of our supporters know our staff by name because of personal conversations they have had around their personal faith and how we have responded to requests for prayer. We seek to build relationships with individuals over time and connections are often made as we share stories of personal Christian faith and how this motivates us to be a part of gospel work.

On this basis, we consider there is a prima facie case that the person appointed in this role be an evangelical Christian.

The Role – What you’ll be doing 

As our Product Assistant (Mass Participation events), you’ll help deliver an exceptional supporter experience across our Charity owned mass participation events —playing a hands-on role in supporter care as well as supporting with logistics and day-to-day tasks required for event delivery. 

You will: 

• Be a first point of contact for product enquiries: managing shared inboxes, answering calls and providing friendly, timely supporter care. 

• Provide excellent stewardship to all supporters. Including acknowledging donations and maintaining the Charity database in line with Charity policies and procedures.

• Support the Products team with planning and delivering mass participation events across the portfolio of both in-person and virtual events.

• Help deliver our flagship event, The Banham Marsden March, including pre-event logistics and on the day support.

• Work with fulfilment agencies to ensure fundraising materials reach supporters in a timely manner.

• Keep events information updated across our website and in-hospital displays.

Summary

Key responsibilities

Event & Comms Coordination

• Support the end-to-end coordination of online and in-person events, e.g. setting up online meetings, booking in-person venues, sending invites, collecting feedback. These events include:
  • Skills-based volunteering events that connect the charities we fund with professionals who offer their expertise to help organisations grow.
  • Our Funders Collective events that bring funders together to exchange ideas and explore how funding can drive deeper impact.
  • Showcases aimed to connect the charities we have backed with funders, think tanks and other stakeholders.
• Provide on-hand support to ensure events run smoothly.
• Manage the communications calendar and make sure social media posts are drafted and reviewed on time.

Programmes

• Assist with the smooth delivery of our funding rounds, e.g. updating our CRM (Salesforce), sharing updates with our team of consultants, reviewing feedback provided to grant applicants, coordinating with our Finance Team on grant payments.
• Help the Programme Team with the management of our peer learning and workshops programme, giving charities the skills they need to thrive.
• Support the Programme Team with ad-hoc data collection for impact analysis and reporting.

Organisation-wide support

• Maintain accurate records and ensure our database and task management tools are kept up to date to help the team stay organised.
• Provide flexible administrative support to The Fore team across all areas of work and other projects as required.
• Provide additional administrative or operational support when required, including limited cover for the info and pro bono mailboxes during  periods of leave.

No previous knowledge or experience of the charity sector is required but we’re particularly

Key Responsibilities

The Rota Coordinator: 

• Welcomes and onboards new volunteers, allocating shifts that reflect their shift preferences 

• Ensures all appointments are effectively covered and works closely with the Visitor Support team to achieve this 

• Stands down volunteers when cover that has been booked in advance is no longer needed

• Takes the preferences of visitors into account when cover shifts are booked —  e.g., ensures that a male volunteer has not been booked to see someone who cannot see a man 

• Ensures cover volunteers can meet the needs of the shift, e.g. that an assessment trained volunteer covers where initial assessment appointments are booked in 

• Helps build a ‘cover bank’ of volunteers they can call on a short notice

• Tactfully reminds volunteers of their commitment to our visitors — where necessary 

• Works (indirectly) with software developers to improve the volunteer database 

• Records and updates important information about our volunteers, treating information about their personal lives with sensitivity and respect 

• Flags to supervising volunteers and the Head of Volunteer Management if a volunteer has frequent absences / cancellations or if they appear in need additional support 

• Puts people on leave of absence, after consulting Visitor Support, and follows up with them about return dates 

•  Liaises closely with Volunteer Recruitment and Training, who will give them the names and numbers of new volunteers and their shift preferences and organise refresher training for volunteers returning from leave of absence
