We are looking for an enthusiastic safeguarding professional to join our Diocesan Safeguarding Team as a Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser - Casework & Training. Reporting directly to the Head of Safeguarding / Diocesan Safeguarding Officer, you will play a key role in our commitment to creating a safer church for all by both effectively advising on, and managing, safeguarding concerns, conducting risk assessments & implementing safety plans, and developing, coordinating and delivering safeguarding training that assists in ensuring our churches are a safer place for all.
The role involves working closely with clergy, church leaders, victims & survivors, statutory agencies, and other safeguarding professionals to promote best practices in the safeguarding of children, young people, and vulnerable adults across the diocese (including Carlisle Cathedral). You will be part of a small professional team who work collaboratively together to ensure that church life is safer for all. To be successful, you will be a highly organised individual with excellent people skills and will demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, discretion and sensitivity. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to coach and mentor people from a range of backgrounds. You will bring professional knowledge of safeguarding legislation and regulations from your previous / current role(s) and, have direct experience of casework management in this, or a related field. You will have experience of delivering training, preferably of a safeguarding nature. You will be able to work with complex information and solve problems and, provide clear practical advice in a timely manner. You will have sympathy towards the ethos and values of the Christian faith and be able to work effectively within a Church of England setting
Salary £45,048 FTE plus 15% non-contributory pension. This post is being offered at 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE) with flexible working. About the role:
A safe, well maintained room can be the foundation someone needs to begin rebuilding their life. As a Maintenance Operative, you’ll make sure our supported accommodation across London provides the safe, dignified and welcoming environment every client deserves.
This is a hands on, multi skilled maintenance role focused on minor repairs and property improvements rather than specialist or technically qualified trade work. Travelling between different services across London, you’ll complete jobs such as painting and decorating, repairing walls and fixtures, basic carpentry, minor plumbing, tiling and preparing empty rooms so they can be offered safely and quickly to someone who needs a home.
You’ll plan and manage a varied workload, respond to urgent health and safety concerns and identify problems before they become more serious. You’ll also inspect rooms and communal areas, record completed work clearly, arrange materials and flag any repairs that need to be passed to a qualified contractor. At times, you may check completed contractor work and provide feedback where standards have not been met.
Our accommodation is home to people who have experienced homelessness, mental ill health and other forms of multiple disadvantage. Some services are larger, hostel-style buildings, while others are smaller residential properties. You’ll often be working in occupied environments and may meet clients while completing repairs, so you’ll need to be comfortable working respectfully around people who may be distressed or experiencing a difficult time. You won’t be expected to provide support or manage challenging situations alone, and service colleagues will be available to help.
You’ll join a growing Maintenance Team that shares knowledge, works collaboratively and takes pride in getting the details right. With plenty of variety and autonomy, this is an opportunity to develop your practical skills while seeing the direct difference your work makes to the buildings we manage and the people who call them home.

To support the team of Recruitment Consultants to place ex-offender candidates into sustainable paid employment with local employers, as the first point of contact for new candidates; also to offer comprehensive administrative support in candidate data collection and reporting

Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out telephone registrations and first screening interviews with all new candidates, to identify initial motivation, suitability and matching for The Recruitment Junction’s services, and its job opportunities
2. Manage the process of candidate data collection and outcomes reporting, to allow The Recruitment Junction to satisfy the reporting requirements of its funders and commissioners

We’re looking for a Waking Nights Support Worker to join us, supporting young people aged 16-25 who have high support needs. In this role, you’ll be safeguarding wellbeing, encouraging positive relationships, and supporting each resident’s journey towards independence, all while ensuring the safety, calm, and security of our service overnight.
A Typical Night in the Role
Your shift will start with a handover from the day team before you prepare for the night ahead. You’ll carry out building checks to make sure the environment is safe, address tenancy issues like smoking or noise, and be available to respond to any emergencies.
