Role Overview:

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Customer Experience

You will be one of the key points of contact for World Physiotherapy membership. Person specification
The membership support officer must have experience in project support and organisational administration. They must be highly organised, self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative in managing complex and competing demands from different sources.
It is expected that the individual will ideally have a good first degree, or relevant experience gained across a range of comparable settings, preferably with additional experience or qualifications in project management and/or business administration. Experience of working with senior staff and committees is essential.

As a specialist charity supporting survivors of sexual violence across twelve South London boroughs, we provide counselling, group therapy, advocacy, prevention education, and professional training. You will build sustainable partnerships, especially with corporate businesses, not-for-profit agencies, schools, universities and youth settings, that both deepen our impact and help grow our income through funded training and prevention programmes. In doing so, you’ll ensure prevention and awareness remains central to our mission, while enabling our organisation to scale services and income in a way that upholds the highest training standards.

We’re looking for two Events and Community Coordinators to join our Events and Community Team, one permanent contract and one fixed term for 12 months. We’re a results-driven team focused on maximising opportunities, reaching ambitious goals, and delivering an outstanding experience for our supporters.
Our team raise funds through a range of activities including:
· our own events (e.g. March for Men)
· virtual products (e.g. The Month Series)
· third party events (e.g. London Marathon)
· Golf Days
· helping community fundraisers who organise their own activity
You’ll be our first point of contact for our fundraisers, providing admin and support through telephone, email, and social media channels. You’ll build and manage relationships with existing and new supporters. From registration to the end of their supporter journey, you'll help motivate during challenges, offer fundraising advice and ensure thanks at the end of a first-class experience.
Whilst each Coordinator has a primary area of responsibility across different types of events, you’ll also work across teams to support where needed during busy periods of activity. This role sits within the Sporting Events sub-team, supporting people taking on third party fundraising events such as the TCS London Marathon, a cycling event or our own event, March for Men. Day-to-day, you’ll manage our inbox and proactively reach out to new fundraisers to offer support and guidance, as well as delivering core processes like thanking, fulfilment and volunteer management in collaboration with other internal teams.
You’ll also work with our Communications teams. This supports the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories. This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising activity, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

How and where we work

Making sure that Shelter is central to local systems change for people experiencing multiple disadvantages will be a key part of the role, representing Shelter at multi meetings and panels as well as monitoring impact and outcome to report to our funders.
About you
You will have a sound understanding of support and housing issues and experience of working with people with multiple disadvantage. You also have knowledge of safeguarding frameworks, drug and alcohol use and treatment and pathways and experience of working with multiple agencies to support people. As the role will require you to visit people in their homes you will need a full valid driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.

Sheffield Hub has been established for over 25 years and provides support to over 5000 people a year across the city. We work to improve the underlying systems that cause homelessness and housing problems, offering a range of help to people in the community, tailored to their needs. We're looking for an inspirational people person to join us as an Assistant Shop Manager in our brand new Shelter shop opening in St Albans. This is an exciting opportunity, and we'd like you to join us to help raise vital funds for homeless and badly housed people.
You will work closely with the Shop Manager to ensure the shop looks welcoming, visually appealing and the team of volunteers are motivated and keen to engage with customers and maximise sales.

About the role
You will assist the Shop Manager in the recruitment, support and development of a strong community focused shop team and empower them to maximise Shelter's income. Representing Shelter in your local community, ensuring that you and your team share your knowledge of Shelter's cause with customers, volunteers, donors and potential Shelter clients will also be important aspects of the role. You will always ensure a safe, clean, bright and happy environment for your team to work in and for your customers to shop in, in turn attracting potential donors and volunteers.
About you
You are a naturally energetic person with an enthusiasm for managing and empowering people.
Your extraordinary motivational skills will enable you to inspire your team to increase sales and control costs. Above all, you are ready to take on a new challenge and have a keen interest in Shelter's cause.
We’re looking for someone friendly and personable, who can work well as part of a team and is proficient using Microsoft Office application and other systems used.
