We are looking for a full time Campaign and Advocacy Manager with experience in running campaigns for a political cause, managing coalitions, who is able to demonstrate policy-change impact.
You would be running Migrant Democracy Project’s cornerstone Votes for All campaign which wishes to see the right to vote extended to all residents in the UK, no matter where they are from. The Campaign and Advocacy Manager will have a strategic and creative mindset for the campaign, will be able to plan well into the future as well as capture opportunities in the moment. You will engage with politicians at every level to gather their support, identify ways for these politicians to take action for the progress of the campaign, engineer moments to bring awareness to the issue such as stunts and mass lobbies, liaise with a network of organisations campaigning on democracy and migrant justice, and hold comprehensive policy information about voting rights. You will liaise with the media, politicians, residents without the right to vote, and other stakeholders to make votes for all inevitable.
TERMS AND BENEFITS

- Campaigning: Develop and implement strategies for promoting votes for all as a policy change the Government needs to adopt, influencing decision-makers, organising proactice events and working with our community of lived-experience spokespersons.

Media work: Work with our Communications Manager to create and cultivate opportunities to promote the campaign, being a spokesperson for the campaign, and supporting the wider community.

Movement Building: Work with existing partners and grow our coalition of supporters taking collective action for votes for all
- Policy, Parliamentary and Research: Identify and manage strategic research projects, work with policy makers, respond to consultations and identify parliamentary opportunities for the campaign.

At least two years of experience in a role where engaging with politicians for a specific campaign was central to your work.

Experience in the development and implementation of an advocacy or campaign strategy.

Experience managing projects and people such as for research purposes, delegating strategic tasks to other members of the team, and partners.

A strong insight and understanding of the diverse experiences & needs of people with migrant experience in the UK.

Experience of writing policy briefings, consultation responses and evidence submissions.

Experience managing a coalition of partners towards a campaign action.

Knowledge and demonstrable experience influencing local and national decision-makers, councils, parliamentarians and other campaign targets.

Excellent oral communication skills including ability to deliver presentations and talks to a variety of audiences.

We are looking for a part-time Communications Manager to support MDP in the communication of our work through social media, press engagement, community storytelling, and organisational communications.
To build migrant power, we need strategic, sharp, engaging, and sometimes humorous content on migrant justice and democracy in the UK. We need to tell the stories of our communities and why the right to vote is essential to different audiences through different channels - online and in the press. This role is perfect for creatives who have skills in graphic design, video editing, and copywriting; and can support the team with creative brainstorming on the latest social media trends, meme formats, cultural references, and political opportunities for posting. You will also manage MDP’s newsletter and website.

- Communications Strategy Development: Build and implement MDP’s Communications Strategy. Pay attention to breaking news and the activities of MDP staff and wider Champions to develop a communications strategy in-line with MDP’s organising strategy.
- Social Media Content Development: Develop social media content for MDP’s Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn accounts, including graphics, video scripts and captions, working with MDP spokespeople and champions.

Are you an experienced relationship fundraiser who can build trusted partnerships and identify opportunities for fundraising growth?
We are looking for a Senior Hospital Engagement Manager to lead our Hospital Engagement Team and strengthen GOSH Charity’s presence across the hospital. You will lead a team to build relationships with hospital staff, increase awareness of the Charity’s impact and create appropriate opportunities for patients and families to engage with and support the Charity.
You will lead a team of three, oversee the Charity Hub and develop plans that support GOSH Charity’s organisational strategy and ambitious ten-year fundraising strategy. The role is available due to the postholder taking up a 12 month secondment elsewhere within GOSH Charity.
Salary
The salary for this role is £48,690 per annum and you are required to work in either the London office or hospital for a minimum of 2 days per week.
In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Hospital Engagement function within the team, whose purpose is to drive the charity's presence in the hospital to build key relationships and increase income from patient families.
- Manage a team of 3 and oversee the running of the charity hub in the hospital.
- Assist the Head of Community Fundraising in developing the annual business plan and budget for Hospital Engagement and contribute to wider departmental strategic planning to meet the priorities as set out in the fundraising strategy.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear plans for the Hospital Engagement Team, identifying opportunities to strengthen awareness of the Charity’s impact, deepen relationships with hospital staff and create appropriate pathways for patients and families to engage with and support the Charity.
- Work collaboratively with the Grants, Brand Marketing, Special events and Hospital Internal Communications teams to align and implement hospital engagement and communications plans.
- Support the team to develop and expanding the charity champions programme which includes providing dedicated fundraising training and ongoing support to hospital staff to increase the number of potential patient and family referrals.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience developing and delivering stakeholder engagement strategies and generating income from families and groups (preferably within a hospital setting)
- Experience of managing stakeholders at various levels of seniority, developing relationships to establish trust.
- Experience of managing multiple projects, delivering to plan, to timeframes and achieving objectives.
- Proven ability in successfully delivering against fundraising plans and targets.
- A real passion for working in public fundraising and delivering engaging and inspiring supporter experiences.
- Effective communication skills and will be comfortable working with patient families in a hospital environment.

Building on the strong foundations of our current Dad Matters programme, you will work collaboratively with our existing Co-ordinator, with a focus on:
- Planning and delivering weekly peer support sessions for dads
- Supporting the development and delivering Dad’s antenatal sessions with local NHS services
- Recruiting, coordinating and supporting volunteers to contribute to the programme
- Helping dads develop their understanding of building strong parent-infant relationships
- Raising awareness of fathers’ mental health and suicide prevention, especially in the perinatal period

This role would be ideal for somebody with experience of working with families or parents, and of planning and running activities, with a genuine passion for supporting fathers to build strong, positive relationships with their babies, look after their mental health and feel more confident in their role. JOB PURPOSE
The Reintegration and Employment Lead (Prisons & Through the Gate) is responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality reintegration and employment support across multiple prison establishments and into the community, as well as across our youth projects.
This is a visible operational leadership role, working across a portfolio of prisons to ensure individuals are supported to leave custody with realistic employment opportunities, coordinated Through the Gate support and the practical tools they need to secure and sustain meaningful employment post-release.
The role also supports our youth café projects in South London and Guildford, working alongside Chef Trainers and Youth Support Workers to ensure that young people at risk of offending are supported to progress into further education, employment or training following graduation from the programme.
You will lead and develop a geographically dispersed team of Support and Employment Workers, building strong relationships with prison governors, prison staff, probation, employers and community partners to ensure a consistent, high-quality service across all locations. By providing effective leadership, driving continuous improvement and maintaining the highest professional standards, you will help people build positive futures through education, training and employment, contributing to reduced offending and reoffending and safer communities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership
· Provide visible operational leadership across multiple prison establishments and community locations, ensuring a consistent, high-quality employment and reintegration service.
· Lead, motivate and develop a geographically dispersed team of Support and Employment Workers delivering support both within prisons, post-release and across our youth projects.
· Create a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture through coaching,
supervision, mentoring and regular one-to-one support.
· Manage workloads, resources and priorities across multiple sites to ensure services remain responsive to operational needs.
· Conduct regular quality assurance, case reviews and performance discussions to maintain high standards of practice.

Through the Gate Delivery
· Lead the delivery of an effective Through the Gate service, ensuring seamless continuity of employment support from custody into the community.
· Work closely with prison teams to embed employment planning throughout an individual's custodial journey.
· Ensure every participant has a realistic and personalised employment plan that continues beyond release.
· Oversee effective release planning and handover arrangements so individuals are connected with employers, probation, mentors and community services immediately following release.
· Identify and help remove barriers to employment, including housing, benefits, transport, digital inclusion, health and wellbeing.
Youth Project Delivery
· Lead the delivery of high-quality support and progression pathways for young people participating in our youth café projects in South London and Guildford.
· Work closely with Chef Trainers and Youth Support Workers to ensure each young person receives coordinated support throughout their programme and is prepared for progression following graduation.
· Ensure every participant has a realistic and personalised progression plan, focused on further education, employment or training and reflecting their individual aspirations, skills and circumstances.
· Oversee effective transition arrangements at the end of the programme, connecting young people with employers, education and training providers, mentors and other appropriate community support.
· Identify and help address barriers to successful progression, working with colleagues and external partners to ensure young people can access the practical and personal support they need.
· Monitor progression and sustained outcomes following graduation, ensuring the impact of the youth programmes is captured and opportunities for improvement are identified.
Employer and Partnership Development
· Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to secure meaningful employment opportunities for prison leavers and young people progressing from our youth programmes.
· Develop productive partnerships with HMPPS, Probation, prison governors, prison employment leads, local authorities, education and training providers and voluntary sector organisations.
· Represent the organisation confidently across prison establishments and community settings, adapting delivery to local operational requirements while maintaining consistent service standards.

These roles will contribute to ensuring that vital funding reaches communities and projects who need it most in our region. As a Funding Officer you will work as part of our North East regional team, working day-to-day alongside fellow Funding Officers, supported by a Funding Manager.
We are looking for people who will work across the region, with a focus on developing relationships and being a key point of contact for Newcastle upon Tyne.
Ideally (but not essentially) you will live in Newcastle and have good knowledge of the local area.
The Funding Officer role is classed as mobile working which means you will be expected to work from Fund offices, from home as well as conduct visits across the region. The North East regional office is in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Responsibilities & Expectations of the Role
- You will assess applications for funding and manage grants using local knowledge, best practice and thematic expertise and you will harness the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making.
- Being responsible for supporting local people and communities, you will have a strong understanding of our vision, our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and our funding products.
- Being responsible for a pipeline of projects you will need to understand and respond to the different needs of our customers by providing advice and considered feedback and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations.
- You will ensure that both grant management and application assessment play an effective part in contributing to the Fund’s knowledge and learning as a grant maker. You will manage your own caseload, liaise with grant recipients, undertake project visits, identify and manage risk, support organisations to meet their grant requirements and measure their impact.
- You will be an active and integral member of the North East regional team, as well as the wider Northern hub, England Portfolio and Fund. You will contribute your skills, knowledge and expertise to a range of work and programmes as need arises. Within an organisation and sector experiencing on-going change, an agile & flexible approach to the role will be essential for success.
- You will represent the Fund, including at funding fairs and external meetings, creating opportunities for people to come together. You will share learning from your role with other colleagues so that we can maximise our impact.
- You will need to work within the Fund’s policies and procedures and relevant legislation, and in a way that is in line with our vision and values.

- Lived experience or working knowledge of the needs and priorities of communities in and across the North East, especially under-represented groups plus an understanding of the local voluntary, community and social enterprise sector.

Desirable criteria
- Demonstrable sound IT skills, in particular Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn detailed processes quickly and accurately.
- Understanding of financial planning and business plans, ability to analyse accounts and numerical data.
